from what we've been told on the news, its like one dude that is extreme right wing christian which claim he is a nationalist and a patriot that did it...

I find it highly amusing that you guys feel like I was being hostile towards you after you jumped into something that was directed for shin. Since you obviously don't know what I was talking about, let me explain.

I am not talking about the IC methods of it, or how you go about it. I am not talking about how it is a giant game of monopoly where you can lay claim to all of the land as fast as possible. I am also not talking about how it is done in concession with your life paths. What I am saying is this.

You do 1000 word training, and throw in a sentence about "clearing the area to make way for my own". The entire thing can now be counted towards getting land. You also get experience and pwc for it.

jobs : you do your job, 500 words. That 500 words goes to your job. Anything over it goes into experience.
Suggestion : Land Claim = 1000 words, anything over it is exp/pwc

All I was suggesting, which was to Tre, not you guys, was a bit of wonder at why it wasn't done in this method to keep it simple and on par with other site systems. Since it was not directed at you, you have no reason to add an opinion that lacks any type of constructive capacity whatsoever.


Final note, If Jack wanted your land.. or Mariko wanted your land.., would you be able to stop them? I'm a pretty casual person, so please don't ask to take things out "IC". I'm not saying this because I won't do it, I'm saying this because I don't like roasting people.

Mass shooting and bomb attack? Whilst possible it was one man. Its highly doubtful. Although he's the police's current suspect on the matter. Theres not enough evidence to yet confirm just what happened. Politicians think it was Islamic. Police think its this guy. Either way. Religion is getting a bad make over <_<

I dont think one guy would be able to organize that much with just himself. Religion is really getting a bad rep worldwide. You'd think their practicers would do something productive about it.

Again, I am basing this off of the old system, not the new one. The older system had a better layout, which is what I was getting at. I didn't say anything towards the new system. that's why I laid out that system as a description for the people who haven't been on his sites since.. Veneza.

Basing the land claim off of the old work method would be the most efficient way to govern distribution of land over time. That's what im getting at. Make sense Mariko?

Speaking of Veneza.. Hey Kiun! Do you remember if the world ended in that one or not? It had a solid storyline (up until we openly assaulted the mayor..) I think I'd like to see a remake of that one sometime.

Whilst I do get what you are saying here man. There are certain paths which are inexplicably tied to land grabs. Like leader of men. Others not so much. Jobs themselves are directly linked to paths on this site. Gotta say I'm with Mariko on this one. But nothing stopping you from suggesting it. However *points above* nothing is likely to be done until the next Shindows update rolls around. So, my suggestion is hold off your own points till then. And when the suggestions board is unlocked. Post away.

Actually, there are only a few that would actually require of you to get more land. I'm technically a leader of men, but I will only be a party leader and have a small group of adventurers. I have two plots of land because I have one for an NPC village and the other where I live.

And, Ash- you were being antagonistic regardless of who you were asking. Some of us didn't help matters, but you did come off as a hater. Just sayin'.

Also, I was never on the old site. I don't see the issue with the current system- I think it works pretty well as-is.

And if I got attacked by Jack or Iskra- chances are I would lose my land- but it'd make for interesting character plot should that happen; something to go after once I got stronger. Unfortunately this is a leveling site- and new players aren't as on-par as older players; but once you reach level thirty things even out pretty well if you ask me.

Are you talking to me? I'll assume so since the only other people that have land are Kyro and Castiel (I don't count Alicia since we're not going to attack her anyway). As far as me, technically any land I conquer already belongs to Mariko since I'm her lackey.

And even if you weren't talking to us, it's a good idea for us to voice our displeasure over an idea we think is terrible so Shin knows there's people that doesn't think it's a good idea. It's nothing personal.

If people can't stop us, then they need to go train.

Land "Discussion"
Truth be told, the new system has parts that are worse than H2H and parts that are better. The claiming system is misused in my opinion. Lydeck, it's not so much the "I have cake and you don't" attitude, at least I don't view it that way, it's more the points that were brought up about potential confusion from "I have this" vs. "I control this". Personally, as Kyro pointed out, the land claim board means very little as it stands b/c it doesn't give anyone an actionable guideline. I saw that Soothe had made paired maps to help out on that.

Honestly, I do NOT see the point in changing it because the land claim means nothing. If I show up on Kitsu's land with troops. The "influence" claim means that if there are people there to run and tell her then she will know, otherwise, I could arguably remain there without her knowing until she passes back thru that square. So yeah, it's not a big deal.

Veneza Question/Memory Lane
No, the world did not end. You two were executed. That was the last, legitimate time that Kyro and I were on the same team. That final battle was an awesome saga. Zerasyn, the fallen Angel of Death. Good times.

In reference to the clash of systems, I would assume that Shin purposely bundled everything into EXP to dumb down the system and make it easier to digest than the previous site. I think the purpose of DOR was to be easier to understand, not subjectively 'better' which would explain the it being reduced from H2H's 30 or so pages to being cut over a half in text based content. Adding something that separates EXP from WC, at this point, may prove to be counter productive. Don't look into the land claim system and be fooled by the illusion that people are playing monopoly. Most of the areas at the moment have nothing on them and given the difference in the path systems of the two sites it should be fine. Though armies did not play a large role in H2H, you won't be seeing the huge armies of WOTR taking place here or the auto revive system that related to cities and structures; owning land is actually more of a liability on this site than not owning land. Work can be quantified as more than simply WC; it can take someone the same amount of time to come up with a custom building as it would to type 1000 words. If it's too easy, then take advantage of it yourself, but more importantly, we're supposed to be RPing and moving along with our storyline and not spending idle finger time here in OOC. You'll notice I don't post here often. Though I'm sure you're aware, people will find your words offensive if you use "bitch" or curse word variations in them. As I was informed recently, any negative connotation is taken to heart quiet easily, so with text discussions, you must be mindful of that.

Also, the world -did- end at the end of Veneza with the last event. I believe there was something that destroyed the dimensional fabric or something. The last site event was purposed to stop it from happening, but not enough people posted to prevent it.

Sorry I've been incommunicado for the last several days, I went to see this man live with my brother's band and then went directly to a wedding in New York State.
