RULE NUMBER 1
•
Don't ask Shin for site permissions via messenger, PMs, email, text
messages or chat. Use the boards!
Default answer will be negative because you did not read the site
rules.
You MAY ask clarification of things already on the site, if it's not on
the site or expressed on the boards, inquire on the boards.
MEMBER RULES
•
Respect others and respect yourself! No unnecessary OOC drama. Keep things positive! Have fun and be active!
If there is unhealthy OOC behavior, then it will be dealt with in a way
that Shin sees fit.
Do not mix out of character issues (OOC) with in character (IC) action
(this can negate RPs if found true). Members are not to argue on
the boards with staff, use private messages to get your point across.
If you don't comply by that, your non compliance posts can get deleted.
• All new members should have a bio created within a week of joining.
Nonmembers (those do who RP) have a 2 week trail membership to the site
before they are removed from the member list.
The members list will be swept every so often so people who haven't
posted in 90 days will be removed. If you're no longer on the
member list, then you forfeit your character as well.
•
Failure to post in an active RP for 48 hrs may grant management
the ability to control your character to push along an RP if requested.
Do not hold up other's RPs. If you're going to be out, either let
a staff member know or post it on the inactivity board.
•
Attempts to cheat by using previous RP's from other sites is an
automatic character restart.
Since the fall of MSN this hasn't really been an issue, but if it occurs
and can be proven, then the member's character has to restart.
•
Illicit posts or materials (involving partial to full nudity) should be
put in spoiler brackets.
View spoilers at your own risk. The site doesn't promote cybering
and porn, but it also doesn't censor its members.
•
If you see a member breaking the rules or cheating
report it ASAP.
1) Contact Shin with the description of the issue, 2) Shin will contact
the offender and see that the issue is corrected as per site rules.
This isn't a site where someone is IP banned or their character
instantly deleted for breaking a rule or making a mistake. Most of
the time the member will be educated, told to correct their mistake and
to see that it doesn't happen again. If there is a calibration or
correction that needs to be made, it will be made at the time of
chastisement. If a member purposely/knowingly breaks a rule, tests
Shin, or repeatedly breaks a rule then stronger corrective measures will
be taken such as temporary banning or bio correction based on the
offense.
Tolerable offenses include making mistakes
Intolerable offenses include become hostile with management, being
excessively hostile/argumentative with other members, performing the
same tolerable offense repeated, refusing to correct tolerable offenses.
BATTLING
• Do not apply updates from other threads into a thread you are actively
battling in.
When you start a thread with a battle in it, you have to use the version
of your bio that was updated before the date of the battle thread.
• If you're fighting in a thread, but not using site rules, rolling,
etc, then it must state (Storyline) in the thread's title.
Setting the rules and setting of a thread is up to the person who starts
the thread. Under special circumstances a manager can force a
storyline thread to abide by site rules (i.e. if you attack site NPCs or
structures).
• Do not perform any type of IC offense listed
below:
Meta Game: using OOC knowledge IC. If you're character isn't
supposed to know something IC, then he/she doesn't.
Micro Game: making several movements within 1 technique to react to an
opponent over a span of posts. For example, turning a punch into a
block, then a parry, then a throw in the same "instant" over three posts
because of how your opponent reacts to you.
Chrono Game: "reversing time" to change your posted character actions after
already posting a response to something.
Mod: performing actions or techniques not on your bio.
•
CONTESTING A POST. If you have an issue with someone's post, abide by the following steps:
1) DO NOT POST. Try to talk
out the matter with that RPer to come to a compromise/understanding.
*
You must try to work it out
first. If you post after an offending post, then you agree to
whatever was posted above your post therefore removing your right to
later complain about said post.
2) If the RPer doesn't respond within 24 hrs and is active during that
period THEN use the report feature (the ! icon) on the offending post
and fill out a complaint to Shin.
* State
the issue in the report post as well as the process of trying to correct the issue
with the offending member.
3) Shin will judge whether there IS an issue and if there is, they
will speak on the issue.
*
If found in the wrong, the RPer will be requested to correct their post,
repost, or Shin will decide what happens in that post.
OTHER PEOPLE
•
Only post on the
affiliation thread
for affiliations; don't
make a new thread for that.
LAST RULE
•
Annoy Shin and your gone.
I have the looks, the intelligence, but not the time to waste
arguing with members. If you're messing up the vibe of the site
then you'll be out of sight and out of mind. I'm a nice guy and
hope to get along with EVERYONE (yes you too), but I do have my own
limits.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Try to get along with others. Do not control the movements, actions,
thoughts, etc, of another member's character and or manager/member NPC.
Do not use items, techniques, and/or abilities that are not on your bio.
