Reassertion of Manifest Destiny aka Dark Tournament Duex --- RP Type: SIC (Shin Interactive Campaign) Level: All Location: The Core District Map: Link
The entire universe was affected by the Second Dawn and the period of Replication. This included beings like The Dark King and Prophet, who were pretty strong when the reset happened. They both had to find unique ways to survive and hold onto their influence without powers. The Dark King had his legions that he commanded. The Prophet had his minions and followers, etc. They were lucky that they weren’t overthrown after turning weak. That’d be a testament to how clever they were and much power they had over their subordinates, etc. For right now, we’re just going to focus on TDK.
With the restart, the Dark King was forced to start from nothing. He was broken down into a shadow of his former self in stature and power. (Like, he literally got smaller!) To understand what he was about to do you’d have to understand his hood! He lived in the Core District (south central), which was dangerous by itself. He had to rebuild his strength. It was true the Core wasn’t as bad as it used to be, but it was still bad. Even though the demon spirits that caused chaos in the Core had lost their power, they still had vast numbers. The constant fighting between them only helped then get stronger: the struggle for life at all times. Consume or be consumed. Just the way Oni’s operated. Thug life.
So he lived in a bad place. The might that had given him the right to rule was gone. He knew he could only BS his power for so long and training was hard, hard and arduous. Instead of going that route, he uses his mental mind to come up with an idea. He would use deception and his wits to gain absolute power!
--
Settlements were popping up everywhere since Replication. People were building like nuts. Inanis was getting all big, Jun’Jo made something out of nothing, Theden was getting its weight up, and NPC people were also making villages, etc. It was a social boom. New spread about a new warrior fort/village named Acura. No one really had a good understanding of when it was created, but ppl starting flocking to it about 2 weeks ago. It was situated to the East of the core at map area O8A near the Central River and rumor had it that it was filled with men who were looking to conquer the core, evict the oni’s and reinhabit it for humans and kamis. News spread through the human settlements about this place. They wanted to gather up as many strong men as possible and then lead the first successful raid into the city. After getting there, the plan was to set up a couple human forts and spread out. The adventurer’s guilds were all in. Hell yeah’s and hoo rah’s all around.
So what did this place look like? It was a mix between old and new Sai City meaning that it was East City mixed with the past realm part of Sai City. When the Time Meld happened, it basically fused together two times, so some buildings would be half concrete and half wood and stone. They’d make it work tho. So even though some of the buildings around it were jacked up, the village of Acura actually didn’t look that bad. The old pavement streets of the city were the roads. Houses and shops were set in the buildings that were on the block. There are new wooden signs pointing where things were and the buildings would be fixed up and maintained so that they weren’t all falling apart and crumbly looking. Prolly the most impressive building was the tavern that was half bar half adventurer’s guild hang out. It was a four story building that used to be a flat with the lobby cleared out as the bar and bedrooms and stuff in the upper floors. A 30 foot log wall surrounded the village like a barricade from the rest of the city. The village is pretty spread out, prolly three or four big city blocks. At night, tall stone fire pillars light up the village like lamps, etc. Ppl who can sense can sense magic all around the village, probably something do to w/the fortification and town defense.
A hail goes across the land! Acura sends out a call to the major villages to send participants for the Core Raid. In the meantime, they decide to hold a fighting tournament a week before the raid. That way they could choose captains for the raid. The way it works out is that someone who ranked in the tournament would have free reign over leading a group. The area they conquered would be theirs to keep and they’d have the backing of the other groups. B/c they were estimating 5 armies, needing 5 captains, they would choose the top 5 in the tournament to be the leaders.
So there it is. The news would go out about the raid and the tournament. The tournament would be first. The saga action picks up (for the members) the night before the tournament. The saga begins (for the moderator) the day of the tournament. Members have a choice in joining the tournament or standing by for the Core Raid… basically they can do whatever they want.

Akasha would spend a few seconds looking at the picture before looking to the guy and shaking her head. She didn't know it, but he was one of the guys at the Tavern and apparently his buddy had went missing. She could do nothing but shake her head since she didn't see them at the Tavern when she was there...there was many people on the Tavern and Akasha's attention wasn't really directed towards anyone until the one known as Yuki brought himself into her business, or really something that wasn't her business but some trouble that was brought to her. He looked very desperate to find his friend, and at the moment Akasha couldn't find anything to occupy her time so maybe it wouldn't really hurt assisting this individual in his search. It would definitely pass the time until the tournament started." Where and when did you last see him ? " Akasha asked with a curious tone, wondering where they should start off the search from. He had brought this to others attention but they paid him no mind at all, which surprised him when an individual like Akasha decided to help him. This was all more on the circumstances because if she had something to do at this point and time, then most likely Akasha wouldn't have even bothered to help the individual. --------------------------------
Summary » Akasha encounters individual thats missing his buddy. » Akasha agreed to Assist search for awhile until the tournament begins » Akasha Failed to complete " Objective H " I totally don't blame others for not taking 5-15 minutes out of their 24 hour day to post so I can post again >.> » Post Delay: 1

As he comes into the lobby, Battousai would see Lightning and her crew waiting for him. They would be waiting for him off towards the side in the main area that would normally serve continental breakfast in the relic days, but now existed as a large waiting area with the tables and chairs still there. It was better than standing in the doorway where it would be awkward to have a talk. Battousai would head in their direction, bringing with him Takeo and possibly Kichi if she were still tagging along. Kautuka would have left Battousai’s presence before leaving the stairwell, so that he could go and gather Jay’de. Around the time that Battousai was reaching the lobby, Kautuka would be entering into the room where Jay’de was.
The samurai greets Lightning with a nod and notices that Yuki had arrived as well. He knew that those with him would want to know what he had planned for the day since it was the tournament. He hadn’t given much thought to actually joining it, but he figured he would have to do so now in order to quell the interest of his entourage. In his short meeting with his right hand, he found Kautuka’s briefing informative as it touched on the oddness of the village and how tranquil it was, something that Battousai had thought about partially. The report would include the information that Kautuka learned about the guards as well as a recommendation on the benefits and drawbacks from joining the tournament. It seemed evident however, that Kautuka didn’t seem to hold the desire to join the tournament. Battousai would move to one of the tables in the sitting area and would take a seat with Takeo sitting on his left hand side with the expectation for the others who wanted to speak with him to sit as well.
After being seated, Battousai would look to Lightning to have her people set a border to the area for a moment and crowd the main entrance into the area giving them time to have this short discussion without interruption. After that was done, Battousai would speak, “Kautuka spoke to me about the strategy of today’s opportunity… Takeo…?” The straw hat samurai would nod and take over for Battousai as he grins, “putting me on the spot?” He looks to the others and speaks, “as you guys already know, the boss wanted to come here just to observe what was happening. I’m sure you’ve heard, but the winner of this tournament gets a portion of the army that’s going on the core raid. Well, we’ve already got our own force if we wanted to join the raid, but the added help wouldn’t hurt. Right now, we’ve basically got two corps that are lead by us. We don’t know anything about the caliber of forces that are being given out, but we’ve got at least four people who can lead a force on their own. So, the plan is to have at least two of us join the tournament and gain two brigades and successful raid four areas of interest within proximity to each other. With this, we can help bring stability to this area, which helps out the world in the long run.” The raid wouldn’t be necessarily for extra land for Jun’Jo, since this land was too far from Jun’Jo to attempt to run as a satellite colony, but more it was to assist those here with their overall goal which Battousai seemed to agree with. After Takeo’s words, he would say, “that about sums it…” Battousai would ask of Yuki and Lightning, “what are your thoughts?”

So it seemed a good idea to the Kami to land in the middle of a group of demon hunting liberators with a demon, a mystic creature and a mostly human priestess. It was probably for the best, since Domen would have found it silly to walk in through the front gates anyways. Paco would not find the joke amusing and frumps a bit over it, but is unable to think up a counter retort. After landing and hearing the explanation on what to do in order to join the festivities, Domen would look to the booth allowing his eyes to settle on it and the guard behind it. There seemed to be some black band that was being applied to those who were joining the tournament. After observing this, Domen returns his gaze to Sanzon. Still, Domen rolled around the thought of joining a human tournament. The thought would be of the challenge more so than for whatever the reward might have been, which Sanzon hadn’t made too clear yet. He had touched on the fact that the tournament was to pick out the leaders of the campaign, but to agree to such terms seemed almost like making a deal with humans, or collaborating with them instead of oppressing them. A part of him would dismiss this charade as silly, but the part that lusted for battle would welcome the chance to battle others in a test of might.
As he attempted to think, he would be distracted by yelling in the distance near the entrance. His gaze would shift as he looked to the sky to see some people playing with the dragon as well as what seemed to be a disgruntled woman yelling at them. Speaking vaguely to Sanzon, Domen would speak, “...humans are such odd creatures.”

“Calm down,” Jyn would speak in a voice that was probably too calm for the moment. He would point out, “they’re chasing after a dragon… a dragon…” He would pause to let that sink in. When Rhapsody was a baby, there may have been some issues about someone catching it off guard, but now that it’s transformed, Jyn didn’t think it was helpless enough that it would need a powerless Izumi coming to its aid. If these men were able to fly and were skilled with weapons, then they already had a leg up in Jyn’s mind, since they had no idea what the people of this land were capable of. The last thing they needed was to get nuked by an upset Kami.
As things would turn out, Rhapsody would have had enough of a head start on them to get in the air and out of range to the point where those chasing her would give up and shrug it off since there would be plenty of demons to go around, assumedly, when the raid started. Plus, there was that whole thing about the lady below yelling, which reminded them of the fact that they would basically be stealing to some degree, and as Marvin had pointed out; it was supposed to be a village of at least heroic types, though there would undoubtedly be those there with impure motives that may not match the majority.
In seeing Rhapsody correctly utilize flee, Jyn would relax and release Izumi speaking, “see, everything’s fine now…” With a sigh, he would lower his gaze and then shift his attention towards the interior of the village. Seeing the marketplace and tavern in the distance and how busy it was, Jyn suggested, “let’s head this way, it looks like it’s pretty lively.”

Looking to the priestess, Marvin would correct something she had spoken of. He would mention, “if you look closely priestess, you will see that some of the people here have light auras about them. These are the Kami that were so rare in our time. Apparently in this time, the angel’s live among the humans. I think it’s because of this that more humans are learning to fly and use magic as well…” His voice trailed off, whereas they used to be special at the temple for being able to utilize magical powers as a human, it seemed more commonplace now in this strange new world. “Or at least…” he qualifies as he looks down and to the side, “that’s what I think…” Looking back to her, Marvin would ask, “priestess… if this area is going to war, perhaps we should find some place safer… but if they’re able to win against the demons, maybe we can have the temple back?”

As his sensei begins to move towards a table, Yuki shifts and begins to follow after his sensei since he had business with him at the moment. Once his sensei had taken a seat Yuki takes a seat as well and glances around for a brief moment before turning his gaze back to his sensei as he begins to speak. As his sensei shifts the topic to the male with the straw hat, Yuki glances to him for a brief moment as he begins to speak. While the male with the straw hat speaks Yuki listens to him as he speaks about the tournament and the raid on the core that will be taking place after the tournament. When the male mentioned having two of the group join the tournament, Yuki shifts his gaze back to the male. Though the male seemed to be seeking people to enter, Yuki knew that he had already signed up for the tournament since he wished to test his strength against others though he was not fully after the prize it would be a nice thing to have should he have to go into battle. From the sound of it, to the half-breed it seemed that there were other goals in mind with this raid, as it turns out they sought to bring stability to this area which is something Yuki was not going for, however he was not beyond offering a helping hand should he be compensated for his work. When the male in the straw hat falls silent and his sensei speaks up, Yuki turns his attention to his sensei and remains silent for a moment while thinking upon his sensei's question before speaking up, " I have already signed up for the tournament so that means only another if you wish there to be two. Remember though, there is always a chance we will be pitted against each other. If such a thing where to happen then one of us would have to lose.. Perhaps it would be best if more then two entered, that way we ensure that we have a higher chance of at least getting two of these armies to command. "

" I last saw him at the Tavern last night ". Akasha would nod before looking back in the direction of the Tavern." Then we begin there and make our way from there. People don't just up and vanish. They often leave some kind of trail even if it isn't an obvious one ". And with that, Akasha would wait for him to begin walking before she started right behind him, being led to the Tavern. She found herself assisting an individual who she really didn't know, which was strange when it was outside of the Hospital. When she wasn't on the job within the hospital of Inanis as a Healer, she separate her care for other individuals that she didn't know. It was odd, because when on the job, Akasha would perform to the best of her abilities, even bringing those who have reached the point beyond death back from the abysses. Basically if she encountered a mortally wounded individual and didn't know them or taken any kind of liking to them, then she would simply pass them by and let things continue as they were. The very moment that the tournament were to start, Akasha would immediately ditch the guy and have her fun. Until that moment though, Akasha would do what she could now to assist him. When making it to the Tavern, The guy led Akasha to the Side of the Tavern where they hung out before they parted ways that night. --------------------------------

My eyes would glance over to the booth before dropping down to the black band on my wrist. The humans here were apparently strong, and that made me want to test myself out. I knew that us landing right here might not be such a good idea, but as long as he was with me there shouldn’t be a problem. After all, I didn’t think he was all that evil, just more of a lawful evil kinda person if that made sense. He thought of the good of all, and knew that following his rule would be the best method for everyone to be prosperous. I could agree with that, but I also believed that hope and faith were two things that the humans and spirits needed. Without these, it was blind rule by fear. Thinking about it for a moment, I smiled at Paco as he failed to bring me a return comment. I’d waited a long time to hear him silent, so enjoying it I would definitely be doing. Smiling at the humans who were probably going to give Domen and Paco some good looks, I’d bring my eyes to his priestess. She was definitely cute. I wonder what she did to screw up and end with the demon. I didn’t know he was into slavery like that. Oh well, maybe I’ll learn more about her later when he’s fighting. It would be good to hang with them as a group anyway. I’d look to the sky, wondering if that dragon made it out of here or if the humans brought it down. Would be an absolute shame for such a creature to end here. Oh well.

Pennywise was probably what you would call very well adjusted for being insane. It was of course down to his control over his own madness something that had been learned through time and suppression. But then it was difficult to hold onto such things when the dam that held back the tide had been removed. Penny had grown strong, strong enough to tame the power within him. But that power was now gone. And there was just that thinly veiled sense of duty that was acting as a last means of defence. Oddly the horse rapist seemed to have left the meeting and inside there wasn’t much. At least from what he could seek through the small peep hole round the back. So now it was just a case of twiddling his thumbs and waiting for the meeting to begin. But it was in that waiting and in that silence that the first few drips of water from that ocean of madness began to leak through the wall.
Killforme.
There was a ghostly voice coming from behind him. The mad man whipped his head around to see what the noise was. But there was nothing there. His eyes thinned, suspicious but nothing to worry about at the moment. His mind returned to the meeting, but the haunting voice didn’t leave, this time coming from his left, then his right. Repeating those words over and over again. Then....everything else seemed quiet. Silent. And it repeated again. This time the noise had no direction. Rather it seemed to come from inside him. A whisper in the silence. Then all at once, it was like being in the dark place again, where he had needed to give into the madness, to be drowned in his memoires to bring back that which was important. The fragments of power that he could snatch from the arms of oblivion. He found himself struggling to remain calm. Remain silent. Like it was with the mask on, difficult to ride it out. Trying to hold back the giggling. The mad grin’s encroaching climb up his face. He covered his mouth with his hand and tightly gripped around his jaw. He tried to induce pain. Mental anguish being drowned out by physical pain.
The voice so familiar. It was that of Shiori. Was she telling him to kill for her? But kill who? There was no answer. No...no...it was his own mind. His own madness twisting his purpose. Had to keep calm. Had to keep from letting it overwhelm him. There was a memory of the voice struggling through his wall. Worming its way into his head. It was her, lying on his chest, listening to a non existent heart beat in the midst of the east city. Here, where his former home had been...when she visited him...when they watched television together. “ I just need someone to be here for me”. His teeth gritted against the temptation to laugh. His own thoughts on the matter lied with the deceptive goodness of this memory. If he gave into the madness. He could be there again, he could live in that . Even to just experience it once more....but no. If he did. The dark madness would ride him, and that he could not afford at the moment. He clenched harder with his hands, hearing the bones under them groan. But...it subsided. But his vision was swimming.
Where was she really?...Probably dead. No. He couldn’t think like that. Focus on his purpose was all that he had. Without that...he would fall into madness.

@ Akasha - So while Akasha’s walking on her way to the tavern to look for ole buddy, if she just happened to look to the side, she’d see someone who looked just like the guy that they were looking for at the end of an empty alleyway. He’d look a little lifeless and pale and looking to the side, but he’d definitely resemble the guy they were looking for. She’d only be able to see him for a second because he’d be passing thru the other way on the other side of the alleyway. If she were to go down the alley to look for him, he wouldn’t be there, but he WOULD be about a block away, walking into another alleyway, barely visible between the people moving by him. He’d walk into that alleyway. It’d be almost like he was being elusive or baiting her. The guy w/her wouldn’t be able to see him tho and normal ppl would just ignore him.
@ Domen - A deep voice speaks inside of Domen’s head. No one else is able to hear it, just him.
“Why did you come here, Onikonjou? Don’t you know you’re among enemies? Why do you stand beside a Kami and walk among the humans? What are you plotting?”
@ Penny - While Penny’s playing w/his madness a shadows falls over him. When he turns around, he’d see The Dark King standing there in all of his glory. Well, not so much as being able to see TDK, but more like seeing an immense shadow in the form of TDK (big ass shadow in a crimson shadows cloak/hood). No one else would be able to see this. If someone were to come back here, they’d basically just see Penny. The spectre holds out a hand to Penny assaulting him with shadow minions that come from the ground and pounce on Penny. They latch onto him and some fight to get inside of his clothing. After tussling with him, they try to get Penny out of his clothes. At some point they get Penny’s jacket off him enough so that a little bit of his aura comes out. The spectre speaks and the minions stop and release Penny and start to back away.
“I thought it odd I could sense nothing from you. So it’s your clothing… I want to know if you’re the Demon tampering where he should not. Why have you come here, Oni? Are you hunting sheep?”

Kaelas settled down next to his demonic 'father' so to speak. He was back to his partially demonic self and happy to have those dark wings back. Although the dark abilities would be nice. Like the magic, but he guessed he would have to learn that in due time. He yawned showing off teeth the size of daggers. Since he was about the same height as a one story building. He was huge and finally tucked his wings in, so he wouldn't block people. Although the wings were offering some shade to a few people who looked up as the sun came back over them. He could care less what they were doing here, he just wanted to stalk something, pounce it then eat it. Paco was too small for him, but fun to play with. Like a ball of yawn. Eventually, his demonic maker would tell him to kill someone and he'd be all over that.
Kazakura on the other hand, slid off the back of the tiger, and landed gracefully on her feet. The silver dress catching the light of the sun. The priestess then took a few steps forward to stand slightly behind the large, overbearing demon. Her long silver hair a contrast to his gold. Her soft beauty, a balance to his battle hardened form. They did say opposites attracted. It was strange though, that the once High Priestess of the temple of time was now standing behind and supporting a demon. Even trying to bring others to follow and worship him as a god. She had changed, still she was good on the inside, but something in her had changed.
The priestess looked over her shoulder and Kaelas laid down, so he wouldn't be so menacing looking. Her hand coming up to tuck a strand of silver hair behind her delicate ears. This was odd, that so many people were here in this place, when they were suppose to be preparing for battle.

Wiseman would think that it was his madness again eating at him. But the moment those minions began to interact with him physically. Well he knew this was no madness illusion. He’d heard stories from the punks he’d “ interviewed” about the Dark King. They squealed like pigs, telling long as stories about him and his control over these shadow minions. The moment they managed to wriggle loose his jacket even just a tiny bit. Penny froze. That thing was the one thin veil between his true existence and anyone with spirit senses. Though they began to back away quickly clearly after they got enough to suspect. Penny wriggled the part back on and once again was safe. Hopefully he was far enough away from anyone for them to sense it. He looked up at the spectral dark figure and grinned.
Well this pretty much proved his theory right here. Or at least confirmed part of it. The Dark King knew about this whole thing going on. And if he was doing nothing about it. Well, it meant there was something else about this that nobody but him had yet suspected. ”I tamper in a lot of things, you are going to have to be a little more specific than that”. It was true, Penny did meddle in a lot of affairs but whether or not the dark king was talking about his presence here or something else entirely. That was still to be discerned. He kept his voice down enough when speaking to this specter, as to not attract unwanted attention.
” So, since I got here I’ve been wondering…Big attack planned on the core…lots of strong people show up, big flashy lights its practically a damned party…and yet despite this theres been no direct attacks from your forces…now a pessimist would probably say that you’ve got a hand in this whole deal….Me, I’m a pessimist….personally if I was you I’d be doing pretty much the same thing…gather my enemies in the one place and then…pop goes the weasel…”.
He tilted his hat and stepped back slightly. ” But then I don’t have all the facts, not yet anyway…but I know something isn’t what it seems….as for what I’m doing here, you could say I’m an observer. I’ve no interest in thinning the flock. Least not unless its in my benefit to do so which at the moment it isn’t….right now…I’m just a wolf in a sheeps….jacket…I want to see what they’re up to…and if I can take advantage of that…I will...” EXP:473 PWC:473Location: Warehouse Actions: Speaking to the Dark King Active Effects: Tiger Pelt Lining [MPC STG 3, Constant]

Seijin would look around and pay more close attention than she had before and took notice of it and give a soft smile. "Oh you are right, dear me. This is quite the change from our own time." She looked at Marvin who was concerned about her safety and suggest that they move if this place was going to be a battle ground. Seijin just shook her head. "I cannot bring myself to flee in time's of need. I'm certain help is going to be needed and even if I can help with tending the wounded I'll stay. Even passing along some faith may push the tide's of war in our favor." It was a smart thing to do to just find a safer location, but she wouldn't have gone unless she was forced too. "For now it seem's that preparations are being made and doesn't look like anything's going to happen anytime soon. the guard earlier told me there was an event being hosted today." Though there was another large thing flying through the air, something that looked familiar to her. Though she wasn't certain if she saw it properly. Her head quickly turned in the direction of which the beast would fly in and land at. Her eyes widened. "Kaelas!?" She had to be imagining it. Is that really?

Jyn was telling her to calm down. How in the world was she able to calm down?! Even if Rhapsody was a dragon, she still cared deeply, she didn't care if she could handle herself or not, she couldn't just stand by doing nothing. Though he did have a point, they were chasing after a dragon. A pretty large dragon, but she wasn't one to underestimate people, she herself faced off against dragon before and held her own pretty well physically. From the look's of these people and them flying out of the blue they probably had magic as well. She took in a deep breath and released it slowly. "Very well..."
Rhapsody managed to escape successfully without having to resort to retaliating against the humans that had attempted to capture her. She bit her bottom lip and nodded her head to what Jyn stated about heading inside, she looked in the direction where Rhapsody flew and then looked at Jyn. Clearly she was worried about Rhapsody, but in the end she smiled and grabbed his hand after she dropped the piece of wood she had recently picked up on the ground and would walk alongside of him.

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
With everyone getting seated and seeing the look from Keirosuki , Light gives him a nod. Her fingers come together to cause a load snap getting the attention of one of the male members of the unit. A hand signal is given for them to bock off the area. A human wall cuts the seating area off from the rest of the lobby. The chatter within the group would continue to cover the conversation of the captains form being over heard by the outside.
Light leans back into the chair with her arms crossed and the tall spirit standing next to her. Her blue eyes glance at the man in the straw known as Takeo when the floor is given to him. She did not know the man very well and he looks more of the part of the a drunken swordsmen than a proper captain. But the man was able to cut Battousai and would be given respect for such a feat. The plan put out on the table. It seems rather bold to try to take four areas but even if we took half of what we aim for it would be an achievement. The roll of the tournament is given, I find it odd that the village would dived its forces in such a way and was not sure how well an outside unit would work within our own. Light's gaze shifts to the group of young people that she has been training for the past few months till she is asked about her thoughts. Yuki would get to speak first bring up a rather good point in the plan. "Then the lower ranking officer kneels to the higher ranking one and we only take one unit." The blue eye shift to look at Battousai while Light speaks in a calm voice, "I will remind you that we are risking a lot by being here and I do not think this is going to be as easy as it may appear. We should be careful on how much energy we waste on this childish game. As such, I will enter the tournament with Yu if there is truly a need for two of us to enter in it." Light would offer her sword in this matter even though she knew that she disliked such things and would not be able to take a game like a tournament to serious.

The dragon would only have Domen’s attention for a moment. Soon, he would return his gaze to Sanzon and finally make the decision on whether he would join the tournament or not. Before he is able to do that, however, he finds the confines of his mind invaded by the voice of another. This displeased him greatly as he did not like to be addressed in such an intrusive manner, especially from someone or something of which he were not familiar. With his gaze on Sanzon and then a glance to Kazakura, Domen would be able to tell that he had been the only one who had heard the voice, and as such, figured that speaking aloud would only prove to make him look like a buffoon. Therefore, he returns his thoughts in a narrative manner, assuming that whomever had spoken to him would be able to hear him in this way. Domen speaks, “I am not one to be questioned by others. You will do well to learn of my will and live in accordance with it; now identify yourself and show yourself to me. If you do this, I may forgive the ignorance of your transgressions.”
Having shifted his attention away from the battle lost against Sanzon, Paco would look to Domen who seemed to be glaring forwards but with no real target in sight. He would begin to speak to question if his master was alright before noticing Sanzon looking at Kazakura. With a frown and borrowing eyebrows, Paco would command, “remove the lust from your eyes, Kami! I will not forgive you undressing the priestess with your eyes and mentally violating her orifices many times over!”

Marvin would feel a bit happy that he had been able to say something worthwhile in the conversation with the priestess. Since he hadn’t gotten to talk to her one on one as much as he’d have liked to when they were in the temple, he found the time here and now as a great privilege and blessing. Her words convict him as he murmurs, “yes… I suppose I was thinking selfishly…” Looking up after the rest of her words, he would hold a questioning visage, “event… oh the tournament.” Since he did know a little about that, he would begin, “actually about that…” His voice would be such that it was easily ignorable and with the advent of Kaelas and her exclaiming it, Marvin would just be quiet and pretend as if he hadn’t said anything. Still, he didn’t know what a Kaelas was until he turned his gaze in the direction which hers was. With that, he assumed it was the big furry thing that seemed more conspicuous than her lightning unicorn horse.

An internal sigh of relief would come as Jyn was happy that the dragon fiasco was over for the time being and he found that they were able to continues to make their way towards the town’s center, hand in hand. It seemed, just as their mystic mount seemed to exit stage right, he would notice another large tiger creature having landed near the area they were heading towards. Jyn’s face would go blank in a ‘really?’ type manner as it didn’t seem that anyone was running up to try to capture the tiger. It wasn’t until after he looked at it one good time that he started to notice that the tiger looked familiar. A glance to the people below it caused him to pause for a moment. He clearly recognized Sanzon, the large demon which he had seen before from time to time, as well as the Priestess Kazakura. “What…?” he would question the air in seeing this, trying to figure out why the priestess was with a large demon and Sanzon of all people. His steps would resume as his next objective was clearly Sanzon. It was a given that Jyn didn’t like spirits, but among them, he had never really been a fan of Sanzon, even if he were a light spirit. There were some complications in their friendship over the course of the time which they knew one another, but still, the former Division 12 chief wouldn’t pass this opportunity to question a familiar face as well as possibly attempt to save Kazakura, or at least understand why she was there as well. It wouldn’t take long for Jyn and Izumi, if still holding hands, to walk through the crowded streets and come upon Sanzon. White suit and all, there was no mistaking that it was him. Jyn would release Izumi’s hand for a moment as he approaches Sanzon and inquires, “so you’re alive?”
Summary: Sanzon.

When Yuki speaks, Battousai gives him his attention for that time being. After Yuki is finished speaking, Battousai would simply add in, “there would be no point in us fighting one another if we were put together.” They had come as a group, so in Battousai’s mind, it was a win-win situation if they were put in the same match, though Battousai did have the faith in his companions that they could overcome any opponent that was set before them, or at least had pretty good odds of doing so. When Lighting speaks up, Battousai’s attention shifts to her as he nods, agreeing with basically what she was saying as a solution to if two were to be put in the ring with one another. It wouldn’t be too tricky figuring who was higher ranked than the other since Battousai was Yuki’s sensei, Yuki was a village leader, Lighting was a troop leader, etc. With the reminder, Battousai would simply nod that he understood the risks they were taking. As a partial Kami, he gravitated towards order and goodwill, even if it weren’t always obvious with him. It seemed right that the humans populated the surface since there was a lower realm for demons and spirits, thus Battousai would support that. He speaks to Lightning, “I won’t ask you to join something you don’t agree with; I’ve already decided to join. If given the chance to help the world shift towards order and away from chaos, I will support order. Since that is my selfish belief, it’s only right that I do what needs to be done… This village is risking a lot to preserve order of the Terra lands and I will attempt to help them as much as I can. Jun’Jo was built to bring order to this land; if I can do it for another area, then I think there is some purpose to that.” Takeo would comment, “well… I wasn’t looking forward to joining, but I kind of feel like I have to now.” Battousai would look to him as he chuckles, “no, I’m in too boss, count on me. So that’s at least three, eh? Should be fine.” He didn’t know if Light would retort and maintain in the tourney or not. Battousai would pause here in case there was something else that either Yuki or Lightning wanted to chime in on.

Once Akasha and the guy made it to the Tavern, they both would begin looking at every single individual to make sure he wasn't just walking and been one of those individuals that happened to be socially invisible. It only took a few seconds to confirm that he wasn't roaming around, and right as the guy was about to start asking other people within that area, Akasha would notice some that caused her eyes to widen a bit. She checked the Alley due to the idea that he could have came back here and passed out in the darkness of the alley like others do. What she saw in the alley warranted the widening of her eyes because it was the individual that they had been looking for, or so she believed. His head was turned to the side so she couldn't be 100% sure, but she was close as the other features matched, though he was pale and lifeless. She would look to the guy who was asking people around, who appeared to be some distance from her. Instead of calling him over, she figured that she would just grab the missing guy and bring him over, but when she looked back the guy was gone." Shit! ". It was spoken in a harsh yet low tone as she then turned to the alley way wondered where in the hell he could have gone. There were only two way that could have been taken...back or up, though she would have noticed if he would have jumped or scaled the walls, so she would just go with the idea that he ran away going back. Akasha would enter the alley with haste, soon appearing on the other side and into an open street. She didn't see him, which caused her fists to clench tightly. She looked to the right first and saw nothing, then looked to the left through the people walking by, and at the entrance of another alley further down the street, entering it moments of her view falling on him. The other guy would look around, not seeing where Akasha went." Hey! where did you go? ". The guy asked, not getting a response. Akasha would run down the street, pushing people who crossed her path out of her way with great force as she didnt want to be slowed down by other individuals. If her Sister Phaedra was with her then this probably wouldn't have occured because Phaedra most likely would have pointed out what was odd about this, but the sad thing was that she wasn't there, and this thing was now the center of Akasha's attention, her goal being to grab this guy since she spotted him. She was pissed that he had just vanished after seeing her and was moving away from her while they were off looking for him, basically making her give chase, something she hated doing with guys. --------------------------------

Reassertion of Manifest Destiny aka Dark Tournament Duex --- RP Type: SIC (Shin Interactive Campaign) Level: All Location: The Core District Map: Link
@ Penny – The shadow of TDK looms over Penny. The Minions circle around him while he talks and poses. They start to meld together. TDK speaks.
“What do you consider to your advantage?”
The Dark King waves his hand and the atmosphere shifts. The ground, buildings and sky retreat. A black void with swirling red mist surrounds them. The mist controls what’s shown in the realm. The aura wouldn’t be dangerous or anything like that, just mostly mysterious. The surrounding atmosphere is controlled by Penny’s inner desires and shows pictures of thing that he’d like to accomplish in life or driving forces. Basically TDK shows Penny’s his desires (w/e it is, like money, power, respect… I dunno wtf it is, so ur gonna have to clarify in ur post) and then speaks.
“Maybe what’s advantageous to you is also advantageous to me?”
@ Domen – The voice in Domen’s head pauses. When it speaks again, it’s laced w/a calming agent. It’s kinda obvious what Domen’s desires are.
“It’s clear now… you are the one. Please forgive my insolence, but I cannot show myself to you at this moment. Not here.”
The atmosphere around Domen fades away and he’s brought into the black shadow realm. Now externally or anything like that, but more like in his mind in a time separate from normal time, etc, so it wouldn’t look like he’s dazed for too long. Anyways, instead of standing where he was, Domen appears (only to him) to be in the air flying high over his former city of Domenance with all his minions under him praising him, etc. (If you have a better image then that, go ahead and add to it). The voice speaks.
“Your powers aren’t what they used to be. I can help you with that. Will you accept my gift, Mighty Demon Lord.”
@ Akasha – the guy she was chasing turns down one last alley. Akasha’s given a glimpse of him before he does that. He waits for her at the end of the alley, staring straight at her when she comes in. He doesn’t speak or anything, and the look on his face is a little odd, almost like he’s questioning why she’s coming after him or upset or something. After she comes halfway into the alleyway, a black void starts from the end of the alley and engulfs them both. Red mist swirls around them and the man morphs into a large shadow figure with a crimson hood and cape made from velvet mist. His voice is deep.
“Do not be alarmed. We are as brother and sister. You’re seeking the same thing that I am and I want to ask of your help while offering a benefit to you. Are you open to something like this?”
If she was and asked anything along the lines of what was in it for her, the mist would take on the image of whatever her heart desired the most.

Having finished speaking, Yuki fell silent and as his sensei speaks up, pointing out there would be no point in fighting each other should they have to. When his sister begins to talk after his sensei, Yuki glances to his sister as she seems to add on to what his sensei had said. Though the half-breed understood the idea of one of them stepping down should allies be pitted against each other, it wasn't something Yuki was sure he would do given he had entered the tournament for a fight but in the hopes of winning. As his sister continues to speak Yuki listens to her as she advice to be careful during the tournament. When she brings up that she will be joining as well, Yuki dwells on this for a moment. If he where to be pitted against someone within there alliance it would be his sister and he may have to kneel to her. Hearing his sensei as he begins to speak, Yuki glances to him as he informs Lighting that she does not have to join, but states that he will be joining the tournament. With his sensei joining, Yuki knew that he would have to kneel should he be pitted against his sensei unless his sensei wished to fight. After his sensei finished another male speaks up, causing Yuki to glance to him as he brings up the fact that he shall be joining now too. Once the male finished speaking Yuki turns his gaze back to his sensei, " Alright, I guess its settled then. Sensei you will be joining as you. " Yuki says as he glances to the male that he will be joining to, " And perhaps my sister too. " he adds as he glances to his sister before turning his attention back to his sensei, " Shall we be sticking together now or are we going to split up for the time being? "

Penny didn't take much mind of the minions. For now it seemed that the Dark King was more interested in talking than attacking. Just what would Penny consider advantagous? He thought about that for a moment and the simple answer was "Anything that could benefit or strengthen Shiori's position in this world". Which was a bit of an odd goal considering the fact he didn't even know if she was still alive. Though, she had to be. He had to believe that much if nothing else. He lifted the brim of his hat slightly just to get a better look at the Dark king. Images began swilring around him at that point. It was him standing before his boss once again, she was inviting him to sit down on a sofa, a tv and a fresh box of chicken sat in front of them. Mittens and ghost lyinng next to one another over the top of the Sofa.
The image of him would sit down on the sofa, she'd curl in. His heart skipped a beat. Could the Dark King help with something like that? Well the man did own the core. Back in the day Division 12 and the council had control over the city. But now the place was in demonic hands. He didn't have to hide so much. There was no longer anything to be ashamed of. " Perhaps it is...". Was there any guilt in him about considering making a deal with this guy? Hell no. He held no ties to any one in this new reality. He had no oaths. No bonds. There was that chick Jay'De he'd met a couple of times. But really what were the chances that she was going to turn up here? He let out a chuckle.

When the voice repents for its wrong doings, Domen would allow a portion of his mercy to be bestowed upon it. Though he were firm, he knew that it would be hard for something who did not know him to have previous knowledge of him, even though that seemed to be a given within the confines of his will. Still mortals and spirits alike were mentally limited, so a proper portion of patience was to be given to them. The fact that he didn’t get to see to whom he was mentally speaking to bothered him to some degree, but the change in tone would keep his rage down for the time being. The voice itself seemed soothing, almost as if submitting to Domen’s powerful and mighty aura. Though he was not strong in ability just yet, he was strong in pride and poise. Not yet forgiving verbally, neither condemning, Domen would not say anything in particular. Somewhere in this correspondence Domen came to find himself transported, somehow, to a realm very different from the one in which he had previously been. There was no panic from the Demon, more so curiosity as he wondered what the intent of bringing him into another realm was. He witnesses the second change of the environment as it changes from something foreign to something very familiar. Domen would be high above the skies of Domenance with his masses below, looking up to him for purpose and direction, offering praises and prayers that only one of his might would be able to answer. Domen’s arms would be folded as he looked down upon the masses, allowing them to bask in his ever radiant glory. A firm lipped nod would emit as this just seemed to feel right. When the voice speaks again, Domen would frown slightly at the thought of suggesting his weakness. It didn’t come across in the form of assistance, however, it was more so a gift, which Domen would understand that one would give tides, offerings, or a tribute to others of greatness. “What is this gift, you speak of,” Domen would ask, “if you have it, lay it at my feet and move on. You are being very selfish with time you have not been prior granted.”

Akasha did not stop in pursuit of this guy, and once she corned him...everything went south from there. Right before she got a chance to confront the figure verbally, Darkness would sprout out from behind the individual at a great speed, moving like sharp tentacles and eventually coming together to create nothing but darkness in a manner where no light would be able to penetrate. Akasha would immediately get defensive as the only thing she could see was the figure and seconds later a red mist that seemed to gather within this dark Realm. Before she did anything, the figure would speak out to her, and the manner that he addressed her in caught her attention as well as confused her a little. She only had one sibling and that was her twin Sister Phaedra. He continued to speak words that was even more so interesting, saying that he wanted the same thing as her, which would bring into question what exactly would that be. Akasha wanted many things, and at this time she was more so looking forwards to the fighting. She wanted to laugh at the figure despite him seemingly having control of the situation, not really wanting to entertain the idea, but for the hell of it she would go along...to see that he was just like every other guy she encounter, always thinking they know what she wanted and that they could provide it. She got out of the defensive position and crossed her arms underneath her breasts while standing firm." You don't know what I want...". And right when those words was spoken, images began to develop within the darkness before her, images that would cause her heart to skip beats and breath to become shortened.
Akasha's DesireAgony by KOTOKO It showed Inanis, and Akasha working her way up the ranks to become one of the Four Heavenly Guardians along with three others, one possessing red and orange colored armor, one with green armor and the last one which was a female with blue color armor. The images would continue moving, almost in a fast forward motions where she is interacting with Misuko, and others with her standing by Misuko side. These wasn't what she desired more, but they all tied in with each other like a chain. This individual she was standing by was the Sister of someone she lost, the love of her life Raiki...a Human. As it neared, the image before the last image was basically her keeping her promise to Raiki...the very last promise she made to him as he slowly passed away in her arms, a death caused by Akasha thinking since Raiki was a demon hating human, that he would turn tables once finding out she was a demon...leaving him and not knowing until the end that he still loved her despite knowing what she was. Tears began to develop in her eyes as the images then concentrated on that, her begging him not to die and leave her. It was in a sense a peaceful scene, but agonizing to Akasha as it would provoke her rage. Her Desires was having Raiki back, living and even having children with him...little half breeds. She wanted what a others wanted in this world, something that others along with herself couldn't have.
She wouldn't break out in an uncontrollable rage, but the angry expression and the tears could only display a feel that she was insulted by this individual somehow taking what she wanted most in the world and then presenting it to her when what she wanted most in the world was no longer apart of the world. Akasha was sure that she would never come to love again, forever being bound to such memories. A part of her wanted to go into Berserk Rage and tear him apart, but then there was the other part of her that thought ' What if he could give her what she desired '. Raiki was an individual with poor health, and seemed to have been improving dramatically with Akasha's help before his untimely demise...if he had only survived, Akasha would have made him stronger than most humans, even being that with strong capabilities like herself... as taking care of him was what she set for herself. This could be an opportunity for her to have him back...and So Akasha couldn't resist that kind of lure. Of the two Sisters, Akasha was one bound by Emotion while Phaedra was of logic, and Phaedra would have known there was nothing right about this, Phaedra would have been the one to pull Akasha back, keep her in check in times that she needed it...but she wasn't here this time and so she was vulnerable. The only other person to get through the bad girl that was Akasha was dead, and now an possible chance to have that back...was this person really capable of granting her what she wanted most ? She wouldn't have to keep the promise she was trying her best to keep if he was with her. Through the high emotions that was twirling within her, she would look to the figure before her." Yuki would have Battousai’s attention as he spoke. From all outward indications, Battousai assumed that his disciple was with him on this one. To a certain degree it didn’t matter who kneeled to the other in battle, since the stronger should kneel to the weaker to better the chances in the following rounds, but then again, they were all warriors, and Battousai knew that Yuki generally liked to test his strength and there was a slim chance that he could expect Lightning to back down to her little brother. There would be small little things such as that which would make the outcome interesting if they were matched together in battle, but Battousai could only hope for the best case scenario where they would all face people who were not a part of their group. With the amount of people here, the odds would be slim that they would be pit together, so Battousai would trust in the odds for the time being. When it came to what they would do from now on, Battousai didn’t have any particular orders for the time being. He shakes his head and informs, “you are free to move as you like. We have our strategy for the tournament and it’s still a week before the village raid, so we have plenty of time to think on that.” Though it may sound odd coming from him, Battousai would coax, “enjoy yourself for now.” There wasn’t anything more pressing that he could think of, so unless Lightning had something to say, Battousai would let that be the end to the short meeting.

@ oni’s (penny/domen/akasha) – the voice that speaks to them is one in the same. Not only does it draw out their desires, but it also draws out their base Onikonjou darkness and suggests that they all should put their own desires over anything else. It’d try to cloud their judgment/rational with just enough “Oni Chaos” to help TDK’s suggestions (basically instead of thinking w/humans values/morals/crap they’d be thinking more like a demons should).
TDK’s shadow shows itself to Domen. Even tho Penny, Domen and Akasha are in different spaces, around this time, they are pretty much experiencing the same thing. The atmosphere changes. The pretty images of their desires move from where they are, under them, and slides over and behind TDK so that the imagery is in his background with only darkness on the other Oni’s “side” of the realm.
@ penny – “my offer? I want to give you what you desire. It’s in my power to make it happen. Each time you help me, you’ll get one step closer to your goal.”
@ akasha – “I wish nothing but to give you what you desire as fair payment for your aide. Lay your doubts at ease. It’s within my power to give you want you desire.”
@ domen – “Very well. Here is my gift. It will lead you to me and over time I will assist your will.”
@ all – TDK waves his hand and a small (size of a silver dollar) flame appears and then fades into a black sigil. It hovers between Penny/Domen/Akasha (respectively in their own void realm) and TDK’s shadow.
"Here is a token of my offer, it represents my promise to you. Accept it and lay claim to your most cherished desire."
They can choose to take it or to continuing talking. If they take the sigil, it’d vanish and a flame would burn the outside of their hand to leave the sigil mark there. This would complete the contract.

What the hell? Was the demon talking to himself? I knew he was out there in a powerful way, but I never really knew him to be the crazy type. I would snap my gaze off of the woman, trying to figure out what the name of that one that I had met was. I’d look aimlessly past Paco as he reprimanded me for something I had not done. After all, I was confident in my powers of manliness that I would never need to do such an inelegant thing as undressing a woman with my eyes. Returning my gaze to the sky, it looked clear of the dragon, giving me a light smile. I’d turn around and give Domen the go ahead to enter the tournament. “You should do it, go sign up.” And that was when things would go downhill. A familiar voice caught my attention, causing me to snap around with a smile. After all, it would be rude of me to greet an old friend in any other manner. With the same careless smile that I knew would probably frustrate him, I would fold my hands up behind my head and cross them, intertwining my fingers to relax. “well now, I am definitely surprised to see you survived. Let me congratulate you, and before you decide to shoot me, say that I am actually satisfied to see you. I bet this world pisses you off, with all of these demons running your city. Wouldn’t it be great if you could walk into your headquarters, flip a switch, and turn that spirit net back on?” My words would have a sarcastic, yet truthful tone to them. It was one that only someone who had dealt with me on a business and professional level would really get. I knew we weren’t all that close, but we had a strict professional relationship so he might get out of it what I hoped.

There was the noise of something cracking in the background of everything.
He was watching the image of Shiori and still there were cracks occurring. Cracks only he could hear but, really he didn’t pay much attention to it. There was just…that image. He wanted it. Wanted it badly. But the cracks, damn they got loud. So loud he couldn’t really hear anything else. And when the image moved again this time behind the dark king. Well. He stepped forward. And it was just the sound of glass breaking. The Dark King had been drawing at Penny’s base darkness. His base Onikonjou nature. And whilst this probing would probably go quite pleasantly for others. It wasn’t so much so for him. Penny’s will, his goal, his focus was on helping his boss. This helped hold back the raging ocean of madness that existed inside him. It represented a somewhat flimsy wall which the dark king had unknowingly been poking holes in the moment he started drawing out that darkness.
Before Penny even realized it, he was giggling away like a school girl as the flame was brought up in front of him. So the Dark King was gonna help him, scratch his back if he scratched back…or some shit like that. Yea, sounded good. The Dark King was the owner of the Core anyways, which was precisely the kind of place that needed to be kept under control. I mean, Shiori always claimed to be neutral in the conflict between demons and humans. And well…why would she give a damn who controlled the area so long as she had a base there? The bitch had wanted a demon army and this dark king dude was well established already.
Better the devil you know than the one you don’t.
And maybe. Just maybe, if he helped her enough. She’d learn to love him back. Love him as much as she’d loved that Commissioner who rejected her. The thought of her last actions, her words to him he had watched. ” Fucking whore”. But then there was that image behind the dark king. Her happy with him in the sofa watching TV. Calm. Safe. Happy.
” Hahaha….Yes…Happy….she’ll be happy..and I’ll be happy…the whore the mad man and two crazy CATS and we’ll all be one big happy-fucking-family…Alright Kingy gimme what you got….tell me what to do and I’ll do it…hahaha….”
With that Penny took the sigil and the mark burned into his hand. EXP:478 PWC:478 Location: Warehouse Actions: Accepted TDK's offer Active Effects: Tiger Pelt Lining [MPC STG 3, Constant]

The thing about Akasha was that she only suppressed the nature of her that wasn't sophisticated, back in the past when she used to travel the nights, devouring Humans of light natures and half-breeds alike, eating them like they were BBQ ribs, picking the meat from the very bones itself, Killing people who even got her annoyed just a little, or anyone that threaten the safety of her Sister. Her favorite though was other females regardless of natures, though that was due to an odd factor that caused females to carry some kind of animosity towards each other. They Both we're nasty demons in the past before they became sophisticated, once known as The Kikan Sisters. The negative nature was still there though, never being suppressed. Instead of outright killing people, she beat them down badly. Instead of eating with her hands, she would eat with utensils, though she did stop eating humans and half-breeds...at least until now. TDK was drawing out that part of her that had no limitations, no restraint. A side that would toss her current values out of the windows and put herself before anyone else. It would have worked if it wasn't for one thing, Akasha losing grip with who she was and then thinking how things would have been if she was like this when she first encountered Raiki. She wanted Raiki back so badly but to have this part drawn out...she could feel it coming to the surface and her eyes widened almost as if it did hit the surface, though it didn't...it was Akasha bringing herself to a complete stop from further descent. When making deals, people often found themselves less happy than before, or being screwed and being worse off. If by some chance this person had the ability to bring Raiki back and she was the way she used to be, then it all would be pointless. One thing that she was proud to be when she was with Raiki was a Demon with Moral and values. One who loved fighting but had the strength and will power to hold back from Killing even with her emotional instability. Looking at the figure before her clenched her fists and looked at him with strength in her eyes. Even though she would maintain herself, the values, morals etc...wouldn't mean that she would push away the deal." I want him back..." was what came out of her mouth with a slight pause before she continued." What is it that you want of me that you're willing to offer me what I desire Most ? I may not be as smart as my Sister but Im no fool...and is this a one time deal, as in I do this for you, you give me what I want and thats it...I never have to deal with you again ? ". Akasha said with somewhat of a serious tone of voice. She had been in control of herself for Years, and just being in this being's presence almost made all of that go to waste. She didn't like him but he did offer her something that would be close to impossible to refuse, though there are instances where a person does the impossible. She had already mentioned that she don't like people to bullshit her, and any hint of that would push her away. --------------------------------

In a correction to Sanzon’s thoughts, Domen would not be talking to himself since it was posted that he was in a parallel time which would seem like an instant when compared to actual time. It was safe to say that Domen was probably speaking within the realm of his mind or a void illusion of some sorts. On top of which, since the talking was done in a mental manner, Domen would not be speaking outwardly, but more so inwardly in a manner which would not be audible to those around him for that instant. Still, there was a chance that Sanzon was hallucinating, which would explain his misunderstanding; though Domen had never really known him to be the crazy type. Thus, he would reply to Sanzon after the instant in which the parallel ran was over, but since it was only a suggestion, an answer was not warranted at the moment.
Within the parallel realm, Domen would finally come to see at least the shadow of the entity to whom he had been conversing. Though the figure before him was ominous and large, such things didn’t matter to Domen who would not be intimidated by such a stature which probably rivaled his own. Domen’s gaze remains on the Dark King as the scene shifts from around them both to retreating behind the one doing the deal making. During this process, the demon’s more base nature began to lift into the recesses of Domen’s consciousness as the thought of obtaining his goal seemed to become a fixation of sorts. When the sigil appears it capture’s Domen’s attention for a moment. He looks from it back to the large dark shadow that stood before him, hearing his words. Though it was not laid at the altar of his presence, Domen would still reach out and accept it. He did not expect for the symbol to engrave an etching onto the back of his fist; he looks up towards the shadow in an angered manner speaking, “you insolent…” How dare this entity mar his body without permission? Reaching for his blade, Domen draws it from his side and lifts the tip towards the Dark King ordering, “remove this marking immediately.”

Coming to pause before the Kami, there would be no smile on Jyn’s face as he gives an annoyed look at the jovial greeting that he’s given. “Surprised…?” he would question when Sanzon spoke it, as if implying that Jyn was weak or like a normal human. Though he was right, Jyn still prided himself on surviving a lot up to this point, which was probably the main quality that made him a good candidate to being the leader of the anti spirit forces of Sai City in its ‘glory days.’ The words from Sanzon were interpreted as caustic, but still, Jyn would agree, “yes, that would be very nice.” Moving from that, he would assure, “and I’m not going to shoot you, I have to conserve my ammo these days, since ammunition is hard to come across.” He did not have a comment about how much the world pissed him off because he still did not have a full grasp of the world and had just recently gotten to the point where he could see spirits. Making an observation, he would speak, “…but I do see that you are the original Sanzon. I thought for a moment that you may be a look alike, duplicate or another version in this world’s reality. I guess you’re the authentic deal.” In a questioning tone, Jyn would ask, “why are you here and what’s going on in this village? Is this the only settlement humans have in the city?”

Light's blue eyes shift between the three men as they each speck. It seems Keirosuki has already made up his mind to fight in this tournament. His speech was quite moving for a man that lets his actions speak for him. She would remain silent for a long moment as she looks at Keirosuki in the eye. She hand shifts to reach inside the white sleeveless coat, Light pulls out a pair of sunglasses with her slim fingers and places them over the blue eyes. "So the goal is to just to bring order to the chaos of the land. I have been getting a little lonely in the daylight hours. Maybe if I enter this tournament there will be small chance of finding a man worth keeping for myself. Even if the chance is small and very unlikely." Her body shifts to come to a stand after giving what most would find to be an odd justification that got the attention of a few troops that are around. Most likely only understood by those who have some knowledge of the polyandry society in which she was raise in. It would be honorable to fight in such an event if it was for the goal of finding a strong male, but just to fight to show off ones skill would have been looked down on. "Shell we be going?" Her question would be direct towards Battousai. Eating was on the to do list and now he has added signing up for the game on to it.

As his sister speaks up, Yuki glances to her for a brief moment before turning his gaze from her and listens to her as she speaks on the matter. Though he had begun to listen to his sister, his attention shifts from her after a few moments as she continues to speak since some of what she had to say didn't pertain to the situation. Once his sister had finishes speaking and his sensei spoke, Yuki gives a faint nod as he informs him that they are free to go should they wish to go. Since there was no other matters they needed to tend too Yuki begun to do with the rest of his time. Shifting, Yuki raises from his seat and glances to his sensei once again after he advices to 'enjoy yourself for now' something that Yuki didn't think his sensei would say though he had just said such a thing. Kaelas was trying to be grabbed by people and he just looked toward Domen for a moment. It seemed the demon was off in a land far away, in his mind. Wow, Domen was either growing senile in his advanced age, or he was under some kind of spell. With that the large tiger just took matters into his own hands and roared, a sound that was much like the roar of a jet engine. Deep and loud. Then he took to the skies in a flap of the wings. He would go wait on the outside of the core, for now. Domen or the priestess could summon the creature should they have need.
Kazakura patted the beast right before he took to the skies, and looked around at the people around her. Her regal posture and bearing gave off that, "Touch me and suffer the wrath of a god" feeling. She touched Domen's shoulder, but he didn't respond. Strange for him, for he would have at least given her a frown and then stated in his deep baritone, "Woman...." Damn did the man ever use her name? Not really, nor did it look like he would ever do so. Then there was a moment that she noticed a voice, Jyn. The man from the future that she had help him and his people return. She turned and looked to him. A few steps towards him and she tilted her head. "Jyn? How did you get back... oh wait." For the first time, she looked about the area and realized that this wasn't the spot of the great village anymore instead it looked like the future time. "Did I somehow move into the future? Or is this a time between..." She let her voice trail off before shaking her head. "Whatever the case, it is good to see you. I wondered how you fared."

Izumi had been next to Jyn the entire time, but it seemed that people just simply up and forgotten about her. I mean really who can forgot a really bust, extremely long lavender haired chick wearing a sexy tight outfit? Oh well no matter seem's like something else was more important at the time. Though it was indeed interesting that they did come across some familiar faces even though it was ones that they had...interesting meeting's with. Sanzon was here, oh and look his domestic partner, Domen was here as well. She remembered them both very well, especially her small fight with Domen long time ago. Luckily she had survived, but hopefully this meeting could go out peacefully and any sort of fighting could be avoided, well physical and magical at least.
She turned her head to look at the large creature who had suddenly roared out this deafening roar, which should have affected EVERYONE in the area pretty well. Izumi covered her ears and winced as the roar had occurred. She kinda staggered a moment being so close to the roar. With real lion's their roar could be heard over 5 miles, imagine how much further a larger demonic version could be heard from and how much more deafening it was now. It left her ear's ringing and she began rubbing at her ears as at the moment she couldn't hear much as it was blocked off by the ringing noise. She put on a nervous smile and chuckled lightly as she gave a light wave over to Kazakura.

It seemed like she tuned out the world at that moment and it wasn't until Kaelas had roar when Epona had gotten startled and began to neigh and rose up onto it's hand legs and her front legs kicked out. Seijin had grabbed Epona's mane quickly. "Calm down, it's okay." Seijin quickly said to Epona, in Epona's language, there was a light glow coming from Seijin's mouth. This was her Communicus Grandus abilities that the god's had graced her with. She was close to falling off, but Seijin held a good grip and leaned her body toward's the rising mystical beast and held on until Epona had calmed herself. After Epona had calmed herself and lowered back onto it's hooves. Releasing Epona's mane and petting her Seijin had smiled. "It's her, It's the high Priestess." she once again said in Epona's language and that light glow still glowing in her mouth. the technique itself actually embedded into her tongue and her voice. Seijin looked towards Marvin and spoke in a language he could undestand. "By the Watchers grace, quite the glorious day, It seem's that the high priestess of the Temple of Time is here." This brought such a bright smile to her face. "Come quickly let us greet her!" She looked over after Kaelas had taken off to the sky and Seijin had spotted a woman who from behind looked like Kazakura, but she also spotted Domen as well. She remembered that build and appearance anywhere. Her eyes had widened, she figured she'd keep quiet about Domen though, best not to start any problem, just walk over casually. Seijin proceeded to head over as she did call out for Kazakura. "High Priestess Kazakura!" she said loudly enough to catch her attention from afar.

Well, it seemed like everything was right in order. Straight to business as always, this had to be the real deal. Not paying attention to the others, I would focus all of my attention on the matter at hand. After all, this was an important meeting and if he was being truthful, and had no idea what this was for, it would be within best interest to fill the human in. If he still had ammunition, then he just became more of an asset than originally thought. I guess I would take the time to give him the information needed, and even be nice enough to explain it all in full. “since it looks like you are out of the loop, I’ll fill you in. “ My voice would lower, I didn’t know who else would be listening or if anyone else would be paying attention to the two of us. There were several people who knew of my business with the former government, and I had no idea if they were still alive or not. “I’ve flown the city twice, and there are no major human establishments. I am not familiar with your power infrastructure, or if any of it is even salvable. This looks like the only successful stronghold other than small encampments. It’s a modern version of the past, if that makes sense. Right now they are planning a campaign to retake the city from the demons. The tournament is setup to decide the leaders of the different groups that will be going in there. I don’t know how you feel about this, and I hate to admit to it, but you know the terrain better than anyone here. Your knowledge would be a huge asset to this offensive.”

@ Penny – The contract is made between TDK and Penny. Penny now bears his mark. The mark burn’s a little, but other than that, it goes into passive mode.
“Together we will create a world filled with your desires. Now I will give you your first task. There is an elusive Onikonjou here who is responsible for the nightly disappearances. Find him. When you do, activate your sigil and I shall come. In the meantime, partake in the tournament. You need not win, only force your opponent to exhaust himself in battle. I will use my power to assist you. That is all.”
Suddenly, the realm vanishes. TDK’s shadow is gone and Penny is left where he was and time resumes to normal.
@ Akasha – The contract is not yet made between TDK and Akasha. TDK doesn’t force the transaction.
“Granting your desires is not so simple that it can be done overnight, nor is it so trivial that it can be done in a simple small deed. It will make things easier if you think of it less as having to deal with me and more as us working together over time. If you need an example… one thing I would ask you would be to join the tournament and fight hard, something you’re already doing. Next would be to help me find an elusive Onikonjou… you’re already doing something similar for a stranger you don’t know. The tasks might be small, but with each task, I can promise that you will grow closer to your desires. You will also have my aide in times of need.”
The sigil hovers in the air and rotates in place calling out to Akasha with its aura. She has the choice of taking it and returning to the normal realm, rejecting it and returning to the normal realm, or staying and talking further.
@ Domen – TDK’s shadow does not move when Domen pulls his sword. The contract had been made.
“Please bear with the discomfort. I assure you will find my gift most useful. Trust in my gift to you. Just join the tournament and see.”

With Lightning’s clarification, Battousai would simply nod. As she speaks about her own motives in joining, Battousai would accept that she too had to find her own reason to fight. Jyn on the other hand, was calling out a large ‘wtf’ from within the confines of Battouasi’s mind. Jyn would be complaining about various things as Battousai would tune him out and shut off his mind, since his bodily roommate seemed to want to be so noisy. As he is getting mentally blocked out, Jyn’s voice fades in Battousai’s mind, ‘Lightning noooooo….’ Now with cleared of annoyances, Battousai would stand and accept Lightning’s offer to get going. As they are finishing up, a messenger enters into the lobby of the hotel and just gives an overall announcement that the sign ups would be ending soon for the tournament. Realizing that the morning was swiftly moving along, Battousai would recommend to Lightning that he wanted to sign up now while they still had time. Around this time, Takeo would stand as well, adjusting his straw hat on his head before folding his arms in his kimono’s sleeves set to follow with the orders and get himself signed up. He wouldn’t be walking with Battousai and Lightning; he would simply move ahead on his own since he had been given the okay to enjoy himself this morning. If Lightning was good to go, Battousai would begin walking towards the exit to the hotel lobby to step outside into the morning’s daylight. From there, he would move in the direction of the tavern where the merchant carts seemed to be set up as well as the signups for the tournament. While walking, Battousai would inquire, “after we sign up for the tournament, will we be having the ‘pastry’ food that you seem to like?”

Interrupting the conversation he had going, Jyn finds his ears assaulted by the roar that comes from Kaelas. It causes him to wince, but as soon as it had started, it was over, so there was no need for him to cover his ears unless another volley of vocal viciousness was on the way. Luckily, it seemed that he would be spared, but he still casts an odd glance to the large winged feline beast as it takes to the air “…Okay.” A glance is given to the large demon that she touches on the shoulder before Jyn finds himself counter addressed. It seemed that she needed some time to get her thoughts in order about the world they were currently in. He gives a hesitant, “it’s good to see you’re safe as well.” Looking to Domen, Jyn speaks, “I wonder if you’re faring well…” basically asking if she were okay being around the demons and spirits. He figured Izumi would be better suited to make sure she was okay, though. Jyn’s attention shifts back to Sanzon as he’s filled in on what’s going on. Jyn was almost surprised at the briefing given by Sanzon; it seemed less of something gained from an enemy and more of something gained from a subordinate. Taking that in, Jyn would lower his hatchet for the moment and speak, “I see… so that’s how it is; so we’re on the eve of another battle.” Partially thinking to himself, Jyn would assume, “the people of this time would be nowhere near as prepared to counter spirit threats than we were…” Looking back up, Jyn asks, “do these people have weapons, or are they planning on attacking with swords and shields? Is there intellect that of the past realm or ours?”
Summary: Sanzon.

Akasha kept her ears open when TDK spoke, trying to pick up on deception even though she couldn't. It was almost as if he was telling no lies, and even made it appear as nothing big, though something deep within her knew that these small deeds may eventually turn into big things...then again Akasha never really had a problem with most of the things she's done in the past which was bad enough. She wouldn't allow herself to revert to that part again. She had no one in her corner, and so she would close her eyes. The small deeds that he needed done didn't seem like deeds because she planned to do more than fight hard in the tournament...she planned to win her fights even if it meant beating her opponents into coma's. She came down to a decision within her heart, believing her thoughts were clear. She could see her and Raiki now, enjoying life together, Akasha hitting Raiki on the head for saying something stupid. She even saw an image of him and her standing on a hill in the sunset, Raiki behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist while looking over her. It was time for her to dive deep into the darkness beyond the reach of others in order to obtain what she wanted most. She looked to the Sigil as she opened her hand with a serious expression." Nothing will stop me Raiki! Im coming! ". She said as if she was talking to Raiki but her attention on the Sigil. The Sigil would spin faster almost like some kind of saw before lowering itself on the back of her palm and burning itself into her Hand. Along With Domen and Penny, Akasha was in a Binding contract with The Dark King. When that happened, the Darkness began to fade and she was within the alley that the figure had lured her into. She looked around and wondered if what just occured really happened, and so she would look at her hand and from that she knew it was no day dream. This meant she had to do her job she was initially set to do while sticking to the contract, though the Deal with her and TDK would take Priority over everything else. Right now it was to find the elusive Onikonjou and then Kick ass in the tournament. Turning to the exit of the alley, Akasha would begin walking out with her hand in her pocket, the one that had the Sigil. There was no particular reason for it besides just an odd feeling. She felt stronger after this, and before she was a badass, so feeling stronger was something that wouldn't be good for those who stood in her way. This was because now Akasha had Hope again, She now had a reason to fight rather than senselessly beating people to a bloody pulp. --------------------------------

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
Light would give Battousai a nod in reply that she was ready. The group of young people would part for the to let the two of them pass before they follow the two. Leaving through the doors of lobby, the morning sun touch the pale skin of her face. The dark tinted liens of the sunglasses shields the blue eyes from the light. Following alongside Keirosuki through the merchant filled street, a better view of the village is gather as things that could not be seen at night are now viewable. The most notable thing is the symbol that seems to be on a lot of the buildings. The group of youths take off on their own way for the time being. Under the dark sunglasses, the blue eyes shift towards him when he inquires about having a pastry after they are done with all the paper work or whatever is needed for the tournament sign ups. "I would like that." The rare event of a soft smile gracing her lips occurs after the reply. Normally it is something that is only given to Jyn but has been given to Battousai once before. It has been a while since the two of them had the time to just enjoyed each other's company in a friendly manner.
The tall white haired spirit that towers over the people in the street follows along with the lime hair girl as she wonders around on her own. Stopping to look at almost every merchant cart there is along the way. Although there was a lot of looking going on there wasn't any buying, as nothing she saw truly interested her till a woman with long ash color hair and a guitar case strapped to her back walks by her. The girls hazel eyes open up as she sees logo on the case and the name 'Natsuki Kuga' signed it. "Hey! You wait...." The girl blinks for a moment as she lost sight of the woman when a group of people walked in front of her. "Where did she go?" The tall male spirit just shrugs his shoulders as he wasn't looking at the time.

It helped that he was open to listening to me. While I was surprised at first, it made sense that he would listen as It was much easier for me to traverse this terrain than him. I wasn’t sure if he had eve r flown before, but it was definitely a more acceptable means of transportation for my kind. I actually hated riding in cars, and only did so to blend in with the humans of this realm. With his question being returned, I would look around at everyone on the streets., wondering if he was able to see the same thing that I saw. Humans, with no understanding of anything from our time were everywhere. The thought of one of them with a weapon from our time actually made me a little uneasy. “Look around there mister commissioner, what do you think. These people have their own language, social structure, everything. They say that we are the ancient people. Their language is primitive, nothing like what ours was. I’m not sure how they developed it, but it works for them. Fortunately, we can use this to our advantage since only those of us from our time will understand it. We may be able to find other survivors easier this way, but that can wait until after the campaign. Right now, we have to make sure this succeeds.”

Akasha made her way back to the area of the tavern, dropping her initial search and picking up the new one, for the elusive Onikonjou. There was no leads on the demon, and chances were that it was just like her, A Demon that carried the full appearance of a Human. She would look to the left and then to the right, trying to figure out where to begin the search. Akasha was hoping to find this thing before the start of the tournament, because once that was to start, her sole attention would be on that and handling business and kicking ass. While little distance away from the Tavern, she couldn't help but pause and look at the registration booth where people would be signing up for the tournament. In a way it was like scoping out the competition, seeing who all was going to be apart of it. She knew that Yuki was going to be apart of the competition, though she wondered who else would be part of it. After a little moment of looking at the booth, she would redirect her attention to others within the area, thinking that there was a possibility that any one of them could have been the elusive Onikonjou that the dark mysterious figure spoke of. --------------------------------

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
The tall heel boots click on the old paved road. Their sound is covered up by the noise of all the people in wondering around in the street. It was already lively morning in this make shift village that Natsuki has wonder into. With so many people around it would be a good place to search for that idiot that I have lost. The nine tailed fox walks along next to her sniffing at the air for something. The fox is a big pervert and has a thing for women's panties which oddly is how the two ended up together. He was lot smaller then when Natsuki was stuck in the past and he took off with Natsuki's panties while she was taking a bath.
The long ash colored pony tail moves slightly in the morning breeze. She adjust the strap to the guitar case on her back as just comes to a stop close what looks like a sign up booth for something. She wasn't sure what was going on but there was a lot of people around and this spot of the sidewalk look like as good of a place as any. The case is sit down and opened up, she pulls the guitar out from inside of it to put the strap around her. Her slim fingers run across the strings a few times as she makes some adjustments before she starts playing. Her voice sings out to cover up the chaotic sounds of the crowed street.

The words would not be enough to quell Domen, though he would be interested in what the shadow was telling him. Before given a chance to reply, he finds his consciousness returning to where he had previously been standing with a few minor differences. Kaelas would be leaving, a familiar priestess would be hailing Kazakura, and Sanzon would be speaking to the former leader of the human, anti spirit forces. Domen’s opinion of Jyn was neutral since they had never combated against one another. He knew of Jyn via various means, one of which being Sanzon, but he had never personally spoken more than a sentence to the human, nor had he had the interest to do so. Pushing that aside, Domen was curious to what the shadow had been speaking of, and even though he did not take the suggestion as an order, he made up his mind that he would enter into this tournament coaxed by his newly acquired interest in it. Turning towards booth, Domen would make his way over to the guard and speak, “I shall enter into this tournament.” The dialogue is kept to a minimum as he is given a black band, which he takes and looks at oddly before looking back to the guard with a raised eyebrow who attempts to explain that it goes on his wrist. Domen wasn’t sure how he liked all these attachments on his body, but he places the band over his right wrist and that seemed to be all that was needed to be done.

A small frown would come with the notion to observe the obvious, taken as if Jyn were lacking common sense. “I haven’t interacted with these people much,” he would comment, though Sanzon did have a point. When he first went back to his home and found a tribal clan living there, it was the first indication that the realm now reflected more of the past realm then the present, or rather former present. There was the indication that they didn’t know how to read or even knew what guns were, but Jyn thought that might be specific to that one place. What Sanzon was suggesting was that the entire world was on that same level; something that would be a frustrating thing to attempt to live amongst as it meant no cable or internet… Still, with Sanzon’s words, it seemed as if he were about the mind of assisting these people to make the world closer to what it used to be. Jyn felt this was a bit odd, given the fact that in this world, it seemed as if the spirits had the upper hand. A bit weary of the kami’s intent, Jyn would ask, “so how does this benefit you? As I see it, Spirits are the majority in the core and have nothing stopping them from roaming about the surface unbothered. I would have thought you’d like a world like this… of is it that you miss Coffee that much?”

“Ok,” Battousai would confirm as he would make it an objective to locate a baker amongst the crowded merchants of varying culinary varieties. He looks down and notices the soft smile, then looks back up, feeling a bit lighter due to it. In making it into the main area where the merchants and signups were located, Battousai would motion to the booth where there was a very large man (Domen) who was in the process of signing up. He would comment that he believed that was the place to sign up, and would proceed in that direction. Since that was more obvious than the bakery, he would get this out of the way first. Walking up as Domen receives his band, Battousai would announce his entry into the tournament and receive a black band much like the larger male who was there had been given. Figuring that it was some type of requirement, there came the question to whether or not it was okay to wear it under or on top of his gauntlets. The easiest thing was to just take the gauntlets off and hang them on his waist for the time being since he figured, it wouldn’t matter during a tournament match if the band was visible or not. With this, Battousai would wait for Lightning to sign up if she were so included. He felt they were somewhat similar in the fact that they didn’t fight battles that they didn’t have interest of a belief in; kind of like when she elected to battle the child mage when Battousai cared not to. He felt he was starting to understand her a little better with each interaction they had. His gaze would shift as he waited for Lightning, looking over the immediate area for a baker; he found the town to be very active for something built so quickly.

Was that all he had to ask? How did it benefit me? I would be speechless for a moment while I thought about it. I honestly hated coffee, it was tea that I greatly missed. This new era of existence really wasn’t up to par when it came to making tea the way I liked it. Shaking my head with a smile, I would go ahead and give him what I really thought. After all, it wasn’t like I could give him a lecture about our kind. I had tried that before and failed, so it might be a waste of time. What the hell, may as well remind him anyway. The thoughts would go back and forth for a moment before I finally spoke back, taking notice that Domen had approached the table while formulating my thoughts. “tea actually, I invited you to my academy for it, remember? Even in this new era you group us all together, and insult the higher order of creatures. Yes, the city is overrun with spirits, but specifically, they are overrun with oni’s, your demons. I never wanted a spiritual society, I see how that works and it’s boring. Remember, I’m from there, you know, that place in the sky.. and it isn’t that fun. Humans though, are spontaneous, random, volatile creatures. I loved my time with them, and if I can do anything to help the progression of this time forward towards what we had, well, that chance lay in helping the humans re-claim the city. After that you can deal with setting up a proper education system and getting things back on track. You can trust me on that one.”

So Pennywise had his orders, sign up for this tournament, not to win just to weaken people. Seemed like the dark kings plan was to get the strongest people here tired out just so that he could kill them all when their guards were down. Well thats what Penny surmised anyways. As for finding another Oni that had been causing trouble around here. Well that was another issue. The moment he started thinking about that the memory of people asking around for missing persons popped into his mind. Perhaps that would be an avenue of investigation. As for signing up for the tournament. Eh. Penny wasn’t really the out in the open fighting type. He preferred to get things done all sneaky style. Out in the open he was vulnerable. Limited to physical actions as, if he used his magic. The coat would lose its effect and instantly those with spiritual senses would be able to tell precisely what he was. Which was not as bad in this world as in the other...but being the typical normal human had its benefits.
So he wasn’t going to sign up to the tournament. Though the Dark King might be pissed at that. Penny didn’t much care, he wasn’t going to jeopardise his long term goals for a short term helper. But there were other ways of sabotaging those in the tournie. And he’d get to that soon enough. He moved away from the warehouse and back towards the town main. On his way back to the bar he spotted a rather familiar looking group of people. Sparky. Pimp master general and toots. There was only one he was really interested in, and that was the busty maiden who owed him a drink or two. Slowly walking up behind her he reached out a fingerless gloved hand and tapped on her shoulder. ” Hey toots”. He said in that mischievous voice of his.
” How about that drink?...”
