Reassertion of Manifest Destiny aka Dark Tournament Duex --- RP Type: SIC (Shin Interactive Campaign) Level: All Location: The Core District Map: Link
The entire universe was affected by the Second Dawn and the period of Replication. This included beings like The Dark King and Prophet, who were pretty strong when the reset happened. They both had to find unique ways to survive and hold onto their influence without powers. The Dark King had his legions that he commanded. The Prophet had his minions and followers, etc. They were lucky that they weren’t overthrown after turning weak. That’d be a testament to how clever they were and much power they had over their subordinates, etc. For right now, we’re just going to focus on TDK.
With the restart, the Dark King was forced to start from nothing. He was broken down into a shadow of his former self in stature and power. (Like, he literally got smaller!) To understand what he was about to do you’d have to understand his hood! He lived in the Core District (south central), which was dangerous by itself. He had to rebuild his strength. It was true the Core wasn’t as bad as it used to be, but it was still bad. Even though the demon spirits that caused chaos in the Core had lost their power, they still had vast numbers. The constant fighting between them only helped then get stronger: the struggle for life at all times. Consume or be consumed. Just the way Oni’s operated. Thug life.
So he lived in a bad place. The might that had given him the right to rule was gone. He knew he could only BS his power for so long and training was hard, hard and arduous. Instead of going that route, he uses his mental mind to come up with an idea. He would use deception and his wits to gain absolute power!
--
Settlements were popping up everywhere since Replication. People were building like nuts. Inanis was getting all big, Jun’Jo made something out of nothing, Theden was getting its weight up, and NPC people were also making villages, etc. It was a social boom. New spread about a new warrior fort/village named Acura. No one really had a good understanding of when it was created, but ppl starting flocking to it about 2 weeks ago. It was situated to the East of the core at map area O8A near the Central River and rumor had it that it was filled with men who were looking to conquer the core, evict the oni’s and reinhabit it for humans and kamis. News spread through the human settlements about this place. They wanted to gather up as many strong men as possible and then lead the first successful raid into the city. After getting there, the plan was to set up a couple human forts and spread out. The adventurer’s guilds were all in. Hell yeah’s and hoo rah’s all around.
So what did this place look like? It was a mix between old and new Sai City meaning that it was East City mixed with the past realm part of Sai City. When the Time Meld happened, it basically fused together two times, so some buildings would be half concrete and half wood and stone. They’d make it work tho. So even though some of the buildings around it were jacked up, the village of Acura actually didn’t look that bad. The old pavement streets of the city were the roads. Houses and shops were set in the buildings that were on the block. There are new wooden signs pointing where things were and the buildings would be fixed up and maintained so that they weren’t all falling apart and crumbly looking. Prolly the most impressive building was the tavern that was half bar half adventurer’s guild hang out. It was a four story building that used to be a flat with the lobby cleared out as the bar and bedrooms and stuff in the upper floors. A 30 foot log wall surrounded the village like a barricade from the rest of the city. The village is pretty spread out, prolly three or four big city blocks. At night, tall stone fire pillars light up the village like lamps, etc. Ppl who can sense can sense magic all around the village, probably something do to w/the fortification and town defense.
A hail goes across the land! Acura sends out a call to the major villages to send participants for the Core Raid. In the meantime, they decide to hold a fighting tournament a week before the raid. That way they could choose captains for the raid. The way it works out is that someone who ranked in the tournament would have free reign over leading a group. The area they conquered would be theirs to keep and they’d have the backing of the other groups. B/c they were estimating 5 armies, needing 5 captains, they would choose the top 5 in the tournament to be the leaders.
So there it is. The news would go out about the raid and the tournament. The tournament would be first. The saga action picks up (for the members) the night before the tournament. The saga begins (for the moderator) the day of the tournament. Members have a choice in joining the tournament or standing by for the Core Raid… basically they can do whatever they want.

The hail is received in Jun’Jo, brought along the way via Kautuka’s information network as well as the merchant networks that scattered across the lands. As an area with a substantial market, there was a good amount of commerce that passed through the village and as such tidbits about the Acura Colony would reach the attention of Mirage and Kautuka. From there, it wouldn’t be long before the contents of said hail would be brought to Battousai’s attention to see if he were at all interested in joining in with the campaign to lead into the core. The rationalization was made that peace had settled in relatively well lately, and it seemed like an opportune time to take the core if the assumption was correct that the demons there would be weaker and closer to what a human would be able to handle, since it would make sense that humans without special abilities would be just as strong as they were before magical and advanced abilities were taken away. The village taicho would make the decision that he would go and check things out, since staying up on world events was a ‘thing’ with him. Every campaign that they had traveled to experience had been somehow enlightening, so there was no indication that this one wouldn’t be as well. Aside from that, it was a chance to gain territory in a relatively unexplored place, which had Jyn chomping at the bit as an explorer and cartographer. Additionally, though Battousai wasn’t terribly interested in joining the mentioned tournament, he was interested in the strength levels of others in the world thus far.
Thus, plans are made for him to travel to the neighboring area to the North West and along with him he would bring Kautuka, Lightning, Mirage, Takeo, and whoever they brought, with them for this venture. Takeo, a captain of Battousai’s security forces, would have been the one to approach the jack of all trades, Kichi, to see if she would along as an extra hand and first aid apprentice since Rin would be requested to remain in Jun’Jo.
Since he was a mercenary, word would have been sent to Yuki about Battousai’s intentions with the request of bringing several armed men along with him in case they were needed during the battle. Kautuka and Mirage would be in charge of solidifying the location of the village to which to be traveled while Jyn would work out the particulars with the map and map the path along the way. Yuki would be given a day’s notice before the day of travel would come. Since Theden was ‘on the way’ Battousai and his traveling party would pass through there and ‘pick up’ Yuki and his followers before continuing along the main broken trail that lead into the area that used to be referred to as Gunshyne Bastion. The method of travel would be via foot or stable based tamed beasts with Battousai and Mirage on horses, whereas others might be on large domestic fowls used for riding based on preference. From there, the party travels north, forging the tail end of the Central River to approach Acura from the south.
Based on the current OOC time as it would relate to Shin’s next post, it would appear that the party would arrive to the fortified village in the evening. Moving into town, they would gain entry via the guards with their purpose here pretty much already known. Kautuka would be in charge of interfacing with the guards and gaining information on the place and any rumors that were not currently known. As he did this, the group would follow the wooden signs to first locate the tavern in order to set down their traveling items. With this, Battousai and his group would end up within the village confines, nearing the tavern.

Having received word of Acura, seeking participation in some sort of raid on the core, Yuki had things to think over since this was something he could undertake with his soldiers, though it would be at some risk. Though, not only had he heard of Acure, the half-breed had also received notice from his sensei upon the matter and his participation in the matter was solidified. With a day's notice Yuki is able to get things in order for the trip, getting together a group of his fighters to take with him.
With the preparations the previous day having made things easier, on the day that his sensei is to arrive, Yuki is ready with his fighters and the rest of the people he will be bringing with him. Since he didn't wish to leave Theden unprotected Yuki had decided to leave some of his fighting force behind along with one of his commanders to tend to the village. When his sensei arrives Yuki is already to set out on there trip. The half-breed sat resting atop his mount and companion Ulfric and with him was a red haired female that too sat atop a mount and a group of roughly fifteen of his warriors. When his sensei arrived Yuki greets the male as he always does and with everything taken care of he and his group set out with his sensei and the ones with his sensei.
Through the trip Yuki remains silent and vigil as they make there way north to there destination, only speaking of spoken to or if needed to speak. Like there leader the group brought with the half-breed would remain silent as well. Coming to there location, Yuki looks at the wall around Acura before they make entry and as they do he begins to glance around while following his sensei.

So much time spent traveling, and for what ? Akasha didn't care personally about the state of the world, and what humans did to those of her kind and what Onikonjous did to humans. She had cared for one back then, but that was many moons ago. Now such care for the most part didn't exist, which would bring into question why she was traveling out to Acura to assist in this Campaign against her own kind. The reason involved Shura, an individual of Inanis who seemed to always be snaring everyone within his web without anyone ever knowing. It all started with an encounter between the two, one that wasn't by accident. Apparently, Shura somehow found out that one of the residents that Yuki and Noah gained through their last trip to a village was an Onikonjou, and so he set things in motion for them to meet. There was one other Onikonjou in Inanis, which was Bruno, which was why this was so interesting to him. Their encounter went smoothly, but Shura needed to know more about this Woman, and being the individual that Shura was, no knowledge was blocked off to him, and so he found out through the residents that was gained at that time that Akasha was a female from another village near their old home, the place where Akasha had encountered and lost someone close to her. His search for knowledge would take him there, and he eventually found out about the events that occurred there with her, Raiki, and other parties. He found out how close she was to Raiki, what happened to Raiki, everything. There was even gaining Knowledge that Raiki was the younger brother of one of the Council members of Inanis, Misuko who also ran the Hospital. Everything connected, and before long Shura was playing Puppet Master with a Strong, Beautiful and ill-tempered Onikonjou. There was another encounter, in which Shura mentioned his connections with Misuko, something he knew that Akasha would be interested in. Akasha had broke one of her Promises to Raiki before his death, but she wasn't going to break the other...and this Promised revolved around Raiki's older Sister Misuko. With this, Akasha was snared. Contact with most of the council member was quite limited due to recent events, and to do so she needed to get in good with the people who ruled what became her new home. She needed to somehow move up the ranks, and so Shura would put in word for her to become an X-Guardian. X-Guardians, formally known as The Dark Knights of Inanis was an Organization, the Military power of the entire city, and among the power were Four Guardians known as The F.H.G, Or The Four Heavenly Guardians, Noah's personal elite and the strongest in all of Inanis. Akasha figured that if she stride to get her way to that point, to be One of the Big Four, One of the Heavenly Guardians, then she would possess the recognition, and confidential organization access to do what she needed to keep her Promise to Raiki. It was with this that she became a Soldier of Inanis, Sworn to protect it and it's people. One of the Jobs specifically chosen by Shura was to go out to A place known as Acura, and assist with the Campaign that they were about to embark on. Someone of her Capabilities displaying the Might of Inanis, and how much it cares for the greater good would continue to develop it's already great image, so basically Akasha was a representative of the Grand City. This was one step closer to keeping her promise, and that was all that mattered. The Only aspect that interested Akasha was the fighting. There was going to be a Campaign which consists of fighting to her belief, and according to information there was also going to be a tournament. It was because of this that made her look forwards to getting there. It was dark though, and would still be dark when she finally arrived to Acura. She would do just like the others that would arrive to Acura, speak to the guard, inform them that she was here for the cause, and as a Representative of Inanis. They found it strange that Inanis sent a single individual to represent them, and a woman none the less, but it was the truth. Once everything was cleared, She would make her way to the Tavern just so she could get herself settled in. It was too late to look over Acura and explore, things that would have to wait to tomorrow. She was there as a Soldier, though she planned to perform like an Elite. Walking around in her new gear, Leather Top, Head band that she actually decided to shorten and utilize around her neck, and her Pants with boots, she didn't exactly look like the Soldier type, more like a female with a nice body who was rough in personality, the bad girl, the bitch that was ready to rough any person up that crossed her. Despite her Persona, she was with a long term goal of hers, and a representative of Inanis so she had to maintain some level of professionalism though it didn't mean that she wouldn't kick ass if it required it. While roaming the roads on the way to the Tavern, Akasha would unleash a slight yawn which indicated how tire she was from the Travel.

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
Word of the raid got around and a lot of assumptions where made. This settlement was unknown to Light and they seem to be asking people to take a lot of risk based on the assumption that the fiends that inhabit the Core will be weaken and easier to handle. The Al'Bhed have tried a number of times to selvage relic's from the Core. Some went better than others but the cost was always high. Battousai would have found that Light is strongly opposed to him and any the use of any military resources being used for such a high risk operation. She is equally opposed to the use of mercenary forces. Naturally these matters would be talked about in privet between the two, in which we would end up going like Battousai wanted too anyways.
With the time given to prepare for travel. Members of the Mobile Security Force would be picked to guard the Supreme Commander on his travels. Light would be riding on Choco, her large land bird with golden feathers, like she normally does on long trips away from the village. A young woman with lime hair named, Reika would be riding side stabled with the Commander. Normally she stays in the village working on the military's weapons and armor but seeing that the mission was to go into the Core, she would be dragged along do to her knowledge of relic writing. The mobile force would be made up of a number happy go lucky teenagers, most of which are girls. Giving the trip a rather high school class trip feel with their uniforms, that was made by the lime haired woman spoken of earlier, and laid back attitude rather than a mission to go raid a demon horde.
The group comes into the village in the evening as stated before. Light would stay close to Keirosuki as they come near the tavern.

So it had been a bit since Penny had moved out of the core and now he was diving back in. Why was that? Well from what he had heard things were beginning to heat up in that place. Oddly enough it was where the old East City used to be. The place were Penny had ocne lived for free thanks to the social graces of his large breasted boss. Course it had been for the most part a hide out just to ensure that she didn’t get caught out by pimp master general for helping Onikonjou. But he didn’t much mind either way. Free of board living, nothing could beat it. He’d been pretty much spending his recent time helping out Jay’De in her adventures aftr all with his boss nowhere to be found there was little else that he could actually do. He had taken the first steps in rebuilding the Kyro corporation.Well more specifically HIS division of it. Fuck was he going to try and build a larger area of it. That was down to the boss. He had already built his own realm once and well that had been pretty much fucked up right upon finishing it by the end of the world. So suffice to say he wasn’t really in the mood to start again.
That and that whole shit required him to actually WORK. Fuck that shit.
So, he and his furry companion Mittens began making their way towards the core once again. Thankfully his graceful ability to remain out of sight and out of mind played a vital part in getting to the new settlement . He’d got in with a bunch of people going without them chasing him with fires and pitch forks. Thanks to his coat people just assumed that he was one of the gang, a human being that was here for greed or to just kick some demonic ass. Of course that wasn’t the case. He was here for the raid, and possibly to kick the asses of some of his fellow Oni. But well he had other things to deal with on this little incursion. It was true that this would likely attract some of the stronger members of the worlds community in. So he wanted to see just who those people were. What kind of operative wouldn’t be able to present his boss with the most basic of information?
This information was of course, who were these people and just what kind of people were they? So he slipped on the old human face and began to mingle. It was around evening when he was pretty much finished making his way there with the common folk and. And that’s when he saw him. The horse rapist. The one who had been scaring that young girl Jay’De and had taken off with her horse. His eyes narrowed. Oh well. If he was here maybe there would be other interesting folk. And perhaps he could learn the location of Jay’De’s horse.
“….Score one for the bad guys…”
He whispered under his breath giving out a most trollish grin. But otherwise trying to remain inconspicious.

Nearing the tavern, Yuki shifts his gaze slowly for a brief moment before he finally begins to climb down from atop his mount. One he had climbed down from atop the large white wolf Yuki reaches out and pats Ulfric on the side, " You will have to wait out here friend. " Yuki say's to the large wolf before turning his attention to the others with him, " And the rest of you, relax and have a drink but don't over do it. " Yuki say's to his group with a faint nod before turning his gaze from them. The order from there leader is met with acknowledgements from the group of warriors and there commander. With word from there leader, the group of warriors lead by there red haired commander move past Yuki and make there way into the tavern first to get settled in and have a drink while they wait. Shifting his gaze, Yuki glances to Ulfric for a brief moment and gives the large wolf a nod before he turns his gaze away from the beast and makes his way into the tavern. Stepping into the tavern, Yuki glances around, spotting where the men he had brought with him had taken up seats as he scans the area for a seat of his own. Spotting an open set at an empty table, Yuki sets his gaze upon the table as he makes his way over to it before plopping down in the open seat. Setting down Yuki lets out a soft sigh as he begins to relax now that he was finished traveling.

Quick Post Okay, so people were starting to get settled in for the night. Since its dark, there’s not a lot to see in the city cept for mainly shadows and the areas that are lighted. As mentioned earlier there are large pillars that provide light since it’s night time. They’re kind of like street lamps, only stone pillars that project fire light. The tavern’s the most populated area at the moment. B/c of the amount of ppl coming into the fort there’d be more than one Inn, so people didn’t have to stay @ the tavern. The main tavern would be an older “downtown” like building, so it would have about 50 rooms in it. Behind it would be another inn that was a bit more quiet b/c since everyone’s at the tavern, it’s not the best place to try to get some sleep. You basically got a bunch of warrior types from around the world at one location drinking and meeting up. Other than the Inn behind the tavern, there would be others scattered around the area each w/their own innkeepers (that would be RP’d by Pennywise if needed). The nightly security patrol (care of Kyro) would just make rounds. They didn’t really care about the people inside the city. They put on the act that they were more concerned about demons coming into the city at night. Matter of fact, the area around the fortified town would be VERY dark and quiet… unnaturally so to the point where it would be creepy looking outside of the town gates (especially to the west). Some really attentive people might be able to see a phenomena known as “moving shadows” in the alleyways and dark places, but the guards wouldn’t worry too much about it and just explain that “it happens” around that area.

Akasha would come ever closer to the Tavern, and from her position she could see multiple individuals entering at a time. It came into her head that these individuals was here for the campaign, and possibly the tournament. So far by appearance no one appeared to too out of place, which was good in her opinion. There was an individual that waited for the others to enter that appeared kind of tall with white hair like snow. It attracted her attention only for a second before he was purged out of her mind and she continued her way into the Tavern. Not too long after the individual with the white hair entered, Akasha would enter. It was a relief to finally be indoors after having to sleep out doors during the period of traveling here. One would think that someone of her kind would prefer the outdoors, but she wasn't like the rest of them. Normally when coming to a place like this, she would get herself a few drinks before settling in, but this time she would do the exact opposite. Settle in before getting drinks and relaxing. She walked forwards to what appeared as a counter and she would check herself in, get assigned a room after confirming that she was here to assist and not a normal individual taking up space. Once she got that settled, she would move over to the area that was for the most part a Bar, sitting to one of the tables and bringing herself down into a seat near the table that the group with the individual with white hair was sitting. The choice of the table wasn't a conscious one, and wasn't one with motive. -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha Entered the Tavern not too long after Yuki and his Crew. » She then got checked in and assigned a room after confirmation. » Akasha then took a seat in the Bar area at a table near the Yuki's Table

“excuse me?” “Yes sir.. they are trying to re-conquer the city!” I sat there in the old leather chair, wondering if they had lost their minds. It made sense, especially if that human, the former commissioner of the division 12, had been involved with this. I had contemplated working towards the same goal, but if there was a large enough group going to do this, then it might be in my best interest to go ahead and join in. After all, there wasn’t much they could do if they didn’t have people who knew the area. A simple finger would cross the side of my head, running across a light scar that had been left from my encounter on the way here. I wondered briefly if the demon counterpart of mine would be interested in this. After all, it would be a chance for the humans to kick out the demons, and them to look to a newer, stronger leader. If I could justify that to him, he might be interested, but probably not. I would have to figure out how to make it look to his benefit. Oh well, at this point I was more than interested. “Continue the excavation; I will be departing for this new settlement.” Not many people knew I had returned, other than the few gang members I had recruited, and Domen. I could assume that his little fairy friend was also aware of my return, but that didn’t really matter. Standing up, I would look across the underground office that had once been my business room where I dealt with all of the research affairs that the Venturion Academy produced. Light flickered across the walls from the torches, giving the room the light it needed for us to operate. My body would move across to the coat stand in the corner, where a long white flowing cape would be pulled around my body. The blue and gold embroidery along the edges, symbolic of the house of lightning, would like the inside as it was wrapped and clasped in the front. Heading to the open shaft that led straight to my office on the top of the academy, I would lift off the ground and move upwards, taking a step down in the room where I conducted normal academy business. The open glass led out to a private balcony where I could watch the front of the grounds, relax, and observe the daily operations of my work. It was a sad thing to see all of the darkness below, split by the torches that were spread out. This academy was going to return to being a beacon of light in the lower commons, and the greatest thing I could do would be to assist the humans in their venture forward, and clear the city of its demonic inhabitants. “to the east..” With that said, I would move directly upwards, gaining altitude before turning my body to the east. It wouldn’t be a quick flight before the only really well lit place would be observed. The contrast between light and darkness would be obvious, and anyone who missed it was probably blind. Dropping out of the air, I would land on the side of one of the walls, hoping to find a security detail to direct me inwards.

Kichi of course was following along as was asked of her. She wasn't by any means magical in nature, but she could set bones, stitch a wound. A vast number of things that could be done without magic. The young woman would have followed along with most of the actual soldiers and not the main group of characters. That was just her way. Although her eyes would keep an eye on the leaders of this cozy little retreat to the core. The young shinobi would of course be silent for most of the journey. Quiet and pretending that she was not currently having to act as medical personnel on this journey. But at least she had her katana. But there would be plenty enough fighters including the captains. So she could just watch in this tournament. The young woman had no want of leadership. At least not of these unknown morons now hanging about the tavern. It was too loud and noisy in here for her, so she slipped outside for the moment. Plus she didn't like the looks of some of these people. They were the rapey kind of people. So she found a bench outside and looked up at the night sky, covered in twinkling stars.
It was a beautiful night, and Kichi tucked a strand of black hair behind an ear. Since her coming to the village, she had acquired new clothing, and although it wasn't her normal style, it worked for now. In fact it was the normal style for the villagers of Jun'Jo, a mixture of old and new styles. Nothing so difficult. She wore something like a skirt or dress, that would be easy enough to move in as well as ease of access if she chose a lover for her duration here. Her sights of course were set on two of the three leaders. And she could be easily talked into taking the third as well.

The Powerhouse of the Kikan Sisters was sitting there minding her own business, not paying too much attention to any of the Characters that would be near her unless they were to ask for her attention, of which didn't really happen. A good employee of a bar would usually come to see if the new people in there would want anything, which would happen here as a woman came and approached Akasha." M..May I have your order ? ". Akasha looked to the person and gave a slight smirk. The voice of the woman possessed such a Timid nature that Akasha couldn't help but find it interesting." Any kind of liquor, a bottle of it ". The girl was surprised at the Order from a beautiful individual such as Akasha. Of course she could feel that Akasha was not one to really joke around with, but still orders like that was more often from Men who intended to drink themselves crazy." Are...". She was about to ask was Akasha sure, but realized she better not, so she would switch to a different question." Are you here...for the Campaign ? ". Akasha simply nodded with the same smirk on her face, though a few guys would hear the question and then See Akasha's nod. Two of them got up and turned to Akasha, leaning on the table that she was at." Really ? You ? ". They asked, finding it quite hilarious that a female such as herself would even be partaking in such a dangerous thing. Akasha turned to them, not even dignifying them wiith a response." And I suppose you're going to be partaking in the Tournament too ? ". Akasha still didn't reply, looking at him with a nonchalant look. Just from the way the guy was talking was starting to annoy her a bit. The Woman who was taking the order now regretted having asked that question which attracted these individuals. It was unknown if these individuals was in the guild or not, but what was known was that they could possibly be trouble. The guy looked like he was waiting for a reply from Akasha, in which he would then speak again." Well ? ". Her eyes widened slightly, as if she had just come from being zoned out." Oh! you want an answer ? I got annoyed and bored with you around the first question. Answer a question of mines before I answer yours, Can you go take yourself somewhere else and out of my presence ?". -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha Talked to Waitress and made an order for an entire bottle of Liquor » Waitress question attracted attention of a few unsavory characters » Akasha verbally dismissed them.

NPCC: An area such as this would no doubt have such a structure as a stable since they would be hosting those who would be traveling from all over. It would be located to the side of the tavern in what used to be a business’s multi-tiered parking lot. Instead of spaces for cars, those useless things would have been removed or pushed out of the way to make room for horses, carts and other mounts to be used by those to travel to the town. Large groups with horses would be directed towards the parking garage for their travel mounts.
Ashe: one of the guards would notice Sanzon and by the Kami’s Distinction of a light aura, the guard would be able to easily tell he was no Oni, nor did he look as if he meant any harm. Lifting a hand, the guard would greet him into the city, allowing him to pass or taking the time to answer any questions if the Kami were to ask them.
Note: If you have any NPCC questions or requests, please mark the paragraph with it or OOC response with a “K!” to alert me to it to prevent me from missing it.

As things would turn out, the evening transitions into night fairly swiftly. As such, Battousai would find himself ahead of a pretty large and conspicuously group as their count seemed to be around the number of forty or so heads. As did Yuki, Battousai and the others in the group would dismount from their horses on arrival to the area in front of the tavern. Mirage would already be off of her horse by now and at his disposal as he would ask of her to see that the horses were taken to the stables where they could rest until it were time to travel once more. A guard would approach this time and speak with Battousai and Mirage, since the two were standing by one another, about the stables. Battousai would thank the guard and leave things in Mirage’s hands to lead a group of those who had traveled with them to getting their horses tied up and secured for the night.
After speaking with Mirage, Battousai would move towards Lightning and inform her that he would be going to secure lodging for the night. Since the town seemed to still be getting in visitors, he wanted to make sure he had a place to lay his head down for the night when the time came. He would notice Yuki and his men heading into the tavern and allow his disciple to do as he pleased with his men. Battousai knew that he would be switching with Jyn after making sure they had a room, so in that sense, Jyn would probably meet up with Yuki a bit later in the night at the tavern depending on what he and Lightning decided on doing. Though the tavern was pretty obvious, there were signs that pointed to other Inns and as someone who didn’t care for a lot of ruckus when he was sleeping, it was already a given that Battousai would pick elsewhere to lay his head. With that done, Battousai, and probably Kautuka unless he moved otherwise, would move to head towards one of the Inns in the surrounding area. If Lightning were to come with him, he would not stop her, but if she needed something, he would pause for a moment.
After dismounting from his mount and allowing the others to take it to the stables, Takeo would fold his arms in the sleeves of the dull red kimono he wore and walk the distance between himself and Kichi. To him, it looked as if she were distancing herself from the group. The brim of his straw hat lifts with the inclination of his head as he greets, “yo, Kichi. Enjoying the field trip? You’ve been pretty quiet on the way here?”

K! - Landing would be easy, and entrance to the settlement would be much more enjoyable than I had anticipated. Stepping off the side of the wall, I would land a few feet from the guard so that I could formally greet him. It was nice to see some humans that were welcoming, and not at all hostile towards my kind. Unclasping the cloak, I would allow it to fall to the sides, revealing one of the final suits from the old closet. The white had faded, but was still clean pressed. Against the darkness of the night, I was an easy target to see. A light smile, careless and reckless, would be given to the guard who greeted me. “Good evening, I was informed of a gathering. Would you be kind enough to point me to the central gathering of this settlement? I will also need to acquire lodging for the night. ” I didn’t know what they would call it, whether it be a formal business district or a simple pub. This time change had really taken a toll on my comprehensive understanding of how society functioned. I could be completely off, and while I wondered if he would understand my request, I would assume that I would not be the only one coming to this party. The prospect of humans doing something this bold, and attempting to retake the city was not something I wanted to miss out on. I would look at the guard curiously, examining his attire. As soon as I did, an idea popped into my head, involving a certain demon and bringing him on a journey to test his strength. That might work.. or not. I’d have to figure that out later. The moment of thought would be broken up as soon as the guard gave his response.

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
One of the young men in the unit helps Reika off the large bird, before I myself swing my leg over to dismount. At this point the bird would be taken by one of the Core members after I direct them to follow Mirage to the stables. Where Yuki dismissed his men for the evening to fend for themselves, the group of young soldiers would not get such freedom. Mostly for the safety of the men in this village. Taking a moment to look around the village even through not much could be seen with the low lighting is given off by the large pillars. The place seems to have a strange darkness around it that some would find creepy while other find it to be beautiful and the shadows themselves seem to be moving with glowing eyes in dark corners. Like all things in the world, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the glowing eyes could be anything as even my eyes give off a pale glow in the dark. With the unites return after taking care of their mounts, the first order would be finding lodging for night and getting something that is hopefully fresh to eat. Battousai would get my attention as he informs me that he was going to secure lodging for night. I would give a simple nod in agreement as we seem to be on the some level of thinking. Naturally I would follow him and the troops would be following behind me. Numbers run through my head of how many rooms where going to be needed to house the group. Getting three to four in the same room would make us need six or seven of them. Unless the rooms are bigger and more like a common room in which only a few rooms would be needed and it would be easier to keep everyone together. As far as words go, none are said on my part. I was wondering about a few things but nothing that I will not learn with the coming of the morning and I would not waste Battousai's time with needless small talk.

Immediately the guy got the feel that Akasha thought that she was better than him. His eyes narrowed at her as he leaned in towards her, getting up in her face. The waitress looked to the guys and wanted to intervene, but she was too scared too. Still, the little bit of courage that she had deep within her voiced itself in an hesitant way." P..please could you l...leave her alone ? I was the one that asked the question " Akasha looked to the waitress and then shook her head." Don't bother forcing yourself to stand up to these fools, definitely not for me...Im here because I can handle myself. I do appreciate...". and before Akasha could finish her sentence, the guy would attempt at getting her attention again, this time by slamming his palm on the table." Hey! Im talking to you. What make you think that a woman such as yourself can handle yourself against Demons ? Do you even know what you've really gotten yourself into ? ". Akasha was annoyed, but wasn't angry, and so she simply released a sigh." It's going to take guys like myself to make sure that you don't do anything to get yourself hurt. You're going to hold us back...maybe you should go home to your Kitchen ". Akasha didn't want to make a scene, so she would pull him closer to her by the collar since he was already there, and with her other hand, she would place squeeze his cheeks with that hand, making him pucker his lips. A part of her wanted to tear his lips off, but an image of Raiki appeared in her head, and so she caught herself." Listen you, I am not the one to be messed with, and if you want any chance of participatng in the tournament or even fighting a demon, then walk away and stop causing a scene, because I promise you that if you keep bothering me, dying at the hands of a demon during the campaign will be something that you will not have to worry about ". And with that, Akasha would push him away." Im ready for anything that you can dish out...so leave ". was the ending words spoken, which also was the words to a unique spell. -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha setting the guy who is bothering her straight » »

Being left outside with the rest of the mounts, the large white wolf was left with few options available to him and he wasn't sure about simply standing or sitting in front of the tavern as he waits for Yuki to come back out, if he came back out tonight that is since there was a chance he would be staying inside the tavern for the night. So the wolf did what he thought would be best and moved over to the area where other mounts seem to be taken.
Leaning back into his seat, Yuki shifts his gaze for a moment as he glances around the tavern once again, scanning the area for a brief moment. Moments after taking his seat, Yuki is greeted by a waitress as she comes up to his table to see if he wanted anything to eat or drink. " Greetings sir, what can I get you? " The waitress says with a smile as she looks at the white haired male. Turning his gaze to the female as he hears her speak, Yuki shifts his gaze over her form for a moment as he brings his gaze to meet hers as she looks at him, " A mug of ale would be nice. " Yuki says, answering the waitress. As Yuki speaks, the waitress gives a nod to his request, " Alright, Ill be back in a moment with your drink. " She says before turning away from the table as she walks off. As the waitress walks off Yuki's attention shifts to something happening at the table near his.
Shifting his attention, Yuki sets his gaze upon a female that seems to be having some trouble with a male in the tavern. Looking at the male, Yuki could tell that he wasn't one of the men Yuki had brought with him so Yuki knew he didn't have to step in and save the male, instead Yuki simply watches the interaction which seemed to already be rather heated between the two. Yuki listens as the male speaks to the female about handling her self with demons. When the male makes the comment about the female going back to the kitchen, Yuki utters forth a chuckle at the comment and makes no attempt to hide the fact that he had chuckled, though with it he gets to see the females reaction to the comment. It seemed she could talk big, though talk was just words, action was what made the talk real. " You should take the female's advice and walk away before you get yourself hurt or worse. I'm sure you are one that values his life just as the next man. " Yuki says with a soft smile, his comments directed at the male bothering the female.

Excellent so it would seem that the horse rapist and his group hadn’t spotted him. So in a cartoon super villain manner he snuck about, waiting for them to enter the inn, then following closely behind. The place was apparently filled to the brim with warriors drinking. No doubt eventually a fight would break out. Wasn’t long after that thought before he started to hear some bitch fighting with a guy. A girl thinking that she could fight as well as a guy, yeah right. That was funny. He’d not met many girls other than his boss who could fight well. And to be honest when you compared her to the men of the same caliber. Even she was considered weak by those standards. Once again his little grin at those thoughts before moving into the common room of the tavern and finding himself a stool.
Course it wouldn’t blatantly look as if he was spying on anyone. But he had his list of people o’ interest at this point in time. The horse rapist was one. Another just so happened to be the girl (lol) that had been arguing. So he would continue to watch and listen. At least for the moment taking no active role in actually interacting with anyone.

Kichi looked up at Takeo and smiled. She answered softly, tucking her hair back behind her ear. "Well, for one thing. Not much to talk about, plus we're on a mission. Boredom plays in on that. Also, I don't think the captain lady likes me too much." She smiled broadly for a moment and whispered, "I think its because I tend to draw more looks than she does." Then the young warrior chuckled and shrugged her delicate shoulder. It had been a long trip, she was tired, and not really interested in going into a tavern full of sex starved men. That just spell trouble. Sex was always on the list of things to do before a campaign, since one never knew if they would return or not. So sex the night before was only natural just in case you met your death on the battle field. And seriously, although the thought of multiple men was a turn on to some and Kichi had a few times entertained the idea of two or three men filling her up, she was typically of the opinion one at a time. Especially if she wanted to be at peak performance for battle.
Kichi stood up and looped her arm through Takeo's, "Why aren't you inside drinking? Or coercing a pretty little barmaid into your bed tonight? Better hurry on that last one, if you aren't quick, all the pretty ones will be taken." Her voice was pitched in that husky way that left no doubt she had double meanings in her words.

The guy picked himself up, feeling aggression within him, wanting to punch out Akasha, but before he could perform an act that would have gotten his throat torn out, Yuki's words would pull his attention. Now that a bigger guy brought himself into the little dispute, the guy somewhat held his words and decided to walk away as if he was going to walk away from the get go." Whatever. The bitch isn't worth it ". Akasha maintained her cool, watching the guy walk off, resisting the urge to just pounce from her seat, onto his back and tear his spine out. Indication of this cool being maintained would be that of a sigh before turning her head away from the guy walking away and a little in the direction of Yuki and his group. In any other situation, she probably would have been annoyed with the fact that he was butting into her business, but in this case the guy before was an annoyance, and His words kind of caused him to back off. Akasha didn't see it as a guy coming to her rescue, because if she would have then there would have been a problem right there. It was another individual getting rid of an annoyance, something she could actually come to appreciate. Akasha wouldn't take notice of anyone else around her aside from the one with the white hair." Sexist Pigs everywhere. The most annoying of vermin " Those words would not be directed at any specific individual for she was sure that there was more than just that guy who thought less of her strength because of her gender. There was no point in really defending herself against such an assault despite how much she wanted to because she had to make sure she get the job done." I take it that you're one of the individuals here for the Campaign ". Those words would be directed more so towards Yuki than anyone else around him " So do you have a name ? " Akasha asked in a nonchalant manner. Around this time, the woman that had attempted to stand up for her had went and got Akasha's order which was the entire bottle of any hard liquor. -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha Talks to Yuki » »

With his comment to the male, Yuki keeps his gaze set upon the male to see what he would do and as the male makes the comment about the female and walks off, Yuki gives a faint nod as he shifts his gaze to watch the male for a moment before turning his gaze back to the female. Setting his gaze back upon the female, Yuki gives a faint nod to her initial comment about there being sexist everywhere, " Indeed. " He murmurs lightly to the comment, though his attention quickly shifts from her to the waitress as she comes back to his table with the mug of ale he had ordered. " Here you are sir. " She says with a smile as she sets the mug down at the table before walking off. With the mug of ale on his table, Yuki turns his attention back to the female, having been listening to her as she continued to speak to him. " Yes, I am here for the campaign, as long as there is profit in it for me and my group, sellswords don't work for free you know. " Yuki says with a smirk as he picks up his mug of ale and brings it to his lips before taking a drink of the alcoholic liquid. After the first drink Yuki sets the mug down and continues to speak, " My name is Yuki and you would be? " the half-breed inquires as he looks to the female he had started a conversation with.

Morning: Jun'Jo With the rising of the sun, the day we’ve been awaiting for the last two weeks finally arrives. The call to arms had come in from the village of Acura for warriors to join in the plans for an assault on the Core District. The Core District... it had been several moons since I was last there, yet not a day has gone by where the memories of the Core do not plague me. The realization of weakness, the cowardice of others, and the betrayal of one once thought closer than any other. Now is not the time to focus on such negative thoughts, but to prepare to aid my lord since he has chosen to answer this call.
Crouched on my perch that is the rooftop of Battousai’s house, I watch the villagers preparing for their day and the work ahead. Cinos would be rising soon and I am sure that Mirage is already awake and preparing the morning report. She didn't sleep much either. I would not disturb my lord just yet as he had a long day ahead of him. My thoughts fall upon the call to arms itself. What intrigues me the most about it is that there are plans to hold a tournament prior to leaving for battle. The purpose, as I understand it, is to select the leaders of the units based upon who the most skilled warriors are. Personally, i am not for this concept as a strong warrior does not necessarily make for a strong commander. Still, I already know which unit I will be serving under, so I won't need to concern myself with the tournament. I shall remain with my lord unless orders are given to do otherwise. Actually, I wonder if Lord Battousai himself will even see purpose to enter.
Horses are being prepared for departure as we shall leave for Theden soon enough. Thoughts of Theden give platform to thoughts of the wolf hybrid, Yuki. I actually wondered how he was doing. I had intended to return to Theden for a visit, but aiding in the oversight of domestic matters here in Jun'Jo prevented such. I need to ensure that our expansion moves in line with the Network's expansion as well. The grooming of potential operatives is always a subtle process. Some of the most valuable operatives never actually know that they even are operatives. As thoughts return to Theden, I wonder if Yuki plans to enter this tournament. That one is always itching for a fight, so I wouldn't be surprised if he entered it whether Battousai entered or not. Now if Battousai enters, I am curious as to whether or not Yuki would still fight. It would provide the wolf with an opportunity to test his growth. Also, the promise of territory would also serve to be beneficial to both the wolf and our lord.
A soft gentle breeze blows through the white strands of hair causing me to exhale peacefully. Threads of the silky locks dances along my neck as if held by a wind sprite. If one happened to look up at the perch, the rising sun was in a position to add extra radiance that would showcase the essence of the herbs and berry juices that are used to make the oil that cleans and conditions my hair. After enjoying the moment of relaxation, my body lowers from its perch to float outside of the window. It was time to awaken Lord Battousai. Tapping on the closed window pane, I speak telepathically, "Lord Battousai, the sun has risen and so must we. To Acura, are we called." Battousai would be stirring from his slumber soon. Upon hearing some sort of acknowledgment from him, I would make my way to the Network HQ so that I could receive the morning report from Mirage.
The report is normal. I tell her that I want to give Cinos more time to rest up, so she would be traveling with us to Acura. She is most pleased as Mirage always preferred to be out in the field even in times when I am home in Jun'Jo. She tells me that while I see to Battousai, she will bring Jayde over to the meeting location for our departure. My wishes are relayed to Cinos as I return to my lord's residence for us to leave. Looking around, I wonder where Jayde is. The medic had tended her wounds, so she would be coming along with us. I had wanted to spend some time with her getting a full report of what had transpired and since I currently don't plan on entering the tournament itself, it will provide ample time for her and I to catch up. That command would come soon enough. Our trip to Theden is quick and uneventful. Upon meeting with Yuki, he is greeted warmly before our trek continues on to Acura.
Current: Acura Arrival in Acura would be met with scanning eyes. I find myself rather fixed on the uniqueness of the architecture. My primary focus upon the entrance of Battousai and his entourage would be scanning for potential threats, escape routes and ideal places to set up ambushes. These would be my areas of concern. With his safety being my top priority, I must ensure that should misfortune arise, my lord will escape unscathed.
K! - When the order for the units to see to the horses, I look at Mirage and without words she already knows his command. Mirage walks off and starts walking around the village. I wanted a full assessment more detailed than what my initial scans would provide. When Battousai speaks of gathering intel, my eyes shift back to him before moving over to Lightning. Telepathically, I would speak to the female warrior telling her to watch out for our lord. It's one of those things that goes without saying, but one tends to feel the need to say anyway. After that, I turn to Battousai and speak, “Your will be done, my lord.” Walking off, I wander around making simple conversation with the guards to find out information about the size of the allied army that was gathering here, if we have any primary targets to be conquered in this campaign, whether or not have scouts been sent out & if they have all returned. Since we are planning on attacking the Core District, which is the territory of the being known as the Dark King, I inquire as to whether there have been any rumors or sightings of the Dark King's whereabouts. During these assessment convos, I try to feel out the guards to see if there is a chatty one who has some insight on the other warriors. I wanted to know what type of weapons or fighting styles they are using, who seem to be the stronger warriors, who seem to be the most unsavory and if there are any local warriors entering the tournament. Basically, I spend some time scouting the competition for Lord Battousai, Yuki, and Lightning.

When Yuki told her that he was here for the campaign along with his occupation, Akasha closed her eyes and let the smirk appear on her face before opening the Bottle. There was a cup with it, in which Akasha would pour and fill all the way to the top. Yuki was an interesting name for an individual that looked as tough as himself, as well as it matching a physical aspect of the male...his hair. That could make for an odd form of conversation, but maybe on a later date." My name is Akasha. It's nice to meet someone who doesn't intend to make a total ass out of themselves ". Akasha said with the same smirk before she placed the cup near her lips before drinking. She would down the entire cup in one go before bringing it down onto the table empty. She was an individual that could hold her drink extremely well, and after having it, she felt much better. She hadn't slept in awhile, and had been traveling an equal amount of time. It was because of this that Akasha was tired moments ago, but after having her drink, she was ready to stay up forever, ready to take on the next day. There was a short period until the day would transition into the next day, though Akasha wasn't keeping time and really didn't care. Before Akasha could say anything, the people, The Woman who was hesitant before would look to Akasha and Yuki and smile. These two would be fighting for their cause, so it was like looking at two Heroes." Goodluck to the both of you in the tournament tomorrow. I hope the both of you do very well ". Akasha nodded with a slight smile on her face." Thank you " and after that she would look to Yuki, knowing he was going to be in the Campaign but didn't know he was going to partake in the Tournament. The hesitant female only assumed, in which Akasha would go off said assumption." So You're also partaking in the tournament too ? Going for the prize ". Thats when the female spoke again." The Prize isn't valuables to my knowledge, it's taking one of the five lead roles within the campaign. The strongest of them will lead the Armies ". Before Akasha thought that was going to be some kind of financial prize, but now finding out about the actual prize, it kind of seemed better...not just partaking, but a representative of Inanis leading one of the armies, and if successful could boost her reputation amongst the X-guardians, bringing her ever so closer to her goal. A reputation amongst the locals wouldn't be bad either, but she needed to move up the ranks and this was it. -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha Continues conversing with Yuki and Drinking. » Akasha Completed Objective " Get up to date on the IC information/events going on " » Akasha Completed Objective " Be ready to transition to the next day " » Length Post: 0

After answering the females two questions, Yuki lifts his mug from the table once again. Lifting the mug from the table, Yuki brought it to his lips and tilts it back as he begins to take a gulp of the contents. As he consumes more of the alcohol, Yuki listens to the female as she introduces herself as Akasha, though like he, she didn't give a last name to go along with the first. Pulling the mug away now that he had his fill, Yuki glances to Akasha, nodding his head faintly as he sets the mug back down, " I try not to do that but sometimes it happens, " the half-breed says with a soft smirk, " It is a pleasure to meet you Akasha. " Yuki adds to his initial statement. As the female begins to speak, Yuki shifts his gaze to her as she bids them goodluck in the upcoming event tomorrow. Appreciative of the females gesture, Yuki offers her a faint nod of the head as he thinks upon the event that will be taking place tomorrow now that it had been brought up. Bringing his cup to his lips, Yuki manages to take a half sip before he hears Akasha begin to speak. Shifting his gaze to the female as he listens to her question, Yuki initially gives a faint shrug as he finishes taking a sip of his drink before setting it down. Though he intended to answer Akasha, before he could the other female begins to speak up with information about the event that will be taking place and what winners will get. The prize gave the half-breed more to think upon, it presented a chance for him to take charge of more men and command them and perhaps gain more renown for his group and perhaps Theden. Thinking upon this tournament, the half-breed wonders if his sensei would be taking part in it as well and who he would be fighting if he did take part. Finally Yuki turns his gaze to Akasha as he speaks up, " Indeed I believe I will take part in this tournament as well.. " Yuki says with a faint nod.

Evening had settled and the glow from the torches flicked around the cave dwelling that they called home. It had begun to look like it once had. Silk had returned to the bed and to Kazakura's body. She felt better and more at home in her silver dresses. Such a counterpoint to Lord Domen's red. Which the colors of the cave had returned to the Red and black with accents of gold and her silver. She wondered if he noticed the slow transformation of their home from ruined mess to luxury underground. She was working hard here lately, having been trading and such in the upper town, along with gathering information. She was currently in the kitchen, finishing up the dishes and such from dinner. It was a peaceful night, the sound of the ocean filling the cave through the open glass door. Hakim had been able to find time to replace that little treasure.
Kaelas lay like a fur rug in front of the open door, keeping guard in his usual way. But not moving. Drying her hands off, the priestess began to walk through the rooms of their home looking for said Lord of Domenance. She didn't bother looking long, knowing that if he wanted to be found, he would make himself known by calling for her or by finding her. The silver priestess moved into their bathroom with this in mind. She would bath and most likely, he would soon finish up whatever plotting of planning he was currently doing and come find her to be bathed himself. Grabbing her stuff she set the towels down on the edge of the large in ground tub and stripped. Slipping into the water, she grabbed one of the cloths and the soap. Then she began to lather it up until it was froth of foam. Her scent of cherry blossoms had finally made it into the choice of soaps on the gleaming silvered platter that rested beside the tub. The cloth was applied to skin and soap trailed from shoulder to hip, finger to shoulder. Then she dunked her head under the water to wet it and wash it. When she surfaced, she was clean and those long silver tresses fell down to her waist to fan out in the water.

NPCC to Ashe: The guard answers Sanzon, “good evening. You are correct; there is a gathering here and you’re in the right place. A large group just entered not too long ago, if you follow them or the signs posted around the town, you should be able to locate the tavern. That’s a good place to meet others and locate lodging for the night. With that, the guard would simply look at Sanzon to see if there were anything else required; if not, he would look back ahead towards the dark abyss that sat outside of the village.
NPCC to Kautuka: PM for clarification sent to Shin.
--
Battousai: After walking for a few minutes, Battousai and his group would proceed through the populace littered town and come upon one of the quieter Inns of Acura that was located behind the tavern. The Inn had been repurposed by the people of this time and in its predawn days, could have had been called ‘The Ratison’ or something like that. Now more than likely named something else, it would still service the function of a hotel. Deciding to go in and speak to the Inn Keeper, Battousai would enter into the lobby of the building and come upon a counter which held a night innkeeper behind it who looked up as Battousai approached. The conversation would be short including the cost of the rooms per night. In return for payment, Battousai would receive a key to his room which would be on the fourth floor of the structure. He would allow Lightning to work out the particulars with her women, but would advise that he could cover their costs with the village’s funds. As for Lightning herself, he would state that they should share rooms since he would be trading with Jyn for the night soon. He would inquire from Lightning if she could have one of her unit members to track down Kautuka and let them know where they would be staying for the night.
Takeo: The samurai would chuckle a bit at the observation that Lightning may not be fond of her; “…that right?” He wondered if that were really the case; neither were bad, but Kichi did seem to have an allure to her that screamed for attention. As she stood, Takeo wouldn’t stop her from looping her arms in his. With a smirk he would get what she was saying. He didn’t mind keeping her company in lieu of heading into the bar to drink with Yuki and the others. Aside from that, his boss had indicated that lodging was the first thing on the agenda, so he decided he might as well follow suit. Without beating around the bush or coming up with a corny come back, he would simply speak, “let’s go” and proceed to lead the way towards the Inn. He had pretty much come to the conclusion that her and the doctor weren’t exclusive, but just ‘friends’ so he had no problems with being her friend as well. While walking, he comments, “we’ll see if we can do something about that boredom you were talking about.”

Much of the day had been spent training in solitude while hovering over the oceans due to the use of flight. There, he found he could practice with his magic and sword without being bothered by the world of humans. The sounds of the ocean would relax his mind with the temperate winds basking his body in a hydrating and refreshing breeze that cooled the heated sweet that pressed to the surface of his skin while performing his training. Now with the evening approaching, the former demon lord would float yards over the surface of the ocean back in the direction of his sea side abode.
Approaching the entrance to what used to be a cavern palace Domen would float up vertically half way the height of the cliff overlooking the Great Sea and his body would float through the open glass door that marked the boundaries of his home, giving the welcome mat known as Kaelas time to move before proceeding in. The oni’s feet come to the floor as he proceeds in walking into the cavern, his gaze looking about to see if the priestess was there as well. Hearing her in the bathroom he would make his way in that direction. After entering through the bedroom and coming into the bathroom door, he would glance at her bathing for a moment, simply acknowledging her presences as well as looking at her before turning and moving into the bedroom to remove his armor and gear that was normally worn during the day.

“Thanks, that will be all.” Taking a step forward off the wall, I would continue to walk through the air, casually, towards the ground one step at a time. As I landed, I would notice the signs that would direct me towards the tavern. Moving across the ground at a hastened pace, but still in a laid back manner, I would stop at the sight of the “tavern”. What looked like a normal parking garage and business area had been basterdized into a social facility. To this, I would simply shake my head. Watching people enter the tavern, I would fall in behind them before moving towards the bar. My primary objective was to get myself filled in on the current happenings. Taking a seat at the crowded bar, I’d ignore the tables for now and simple flag the bartender down. Listening to the chatter around me, about a tournament and the campaign, I would give attention to the first part. A tournament? Here? A cautious gaze would be sent to the side while I listened to the fine human gentlemen sitting next to me at the bar. While I was only a shell of my former strength, I was still confident that a tournament would be the easiest way to make my return into these times. I also knew of someone who would be interested in testing out his strength. It was a shame he wasn’t here right now, but that could be fixed in the morning. I didn’t think a flight out to the sea side would take that much time from here anyway. As the bartender returned, I would simply request water. The request gained me some strange looks, which was interesting given my current attire. Shaking his head, the bar tender would fill up a glass with water and hand it to me. Sliding around, my elbows would come to rest on the bar as I observed the tavern.

The Eyes of Akasha was on Yuki as he spoke, nodding her head at to him admitting that he try not to be an ass but sometimes it does slip." Well at least I can say that you're honest. Sometime people are asses, but at least it's better if the intent wasn't there ". She said before pouring herself more from the bottle to fill the cup. He seemed interesting enough to continue the conversation with, unlike others who would have recieved the immediate shut out after the incident itself. One of the aspects that was interesting was the fact that admitted to partaking in the tournament, more so a confirmation on the woman's words. It then came into her mind that there was a possibility that she could fight him during the tournament since she would also be partaking in it. Akasha intended to do her best, which meant no holding back against anyone." That's going to be very interesting. I don't meet too many guys that I don't have reservations about fighting, but you seem like an okay guy ". She didn't say anything that would give the idea that she was better than him, simply saying that most other guys she actually enjoyed pummeling their faces into the ground and then some, while he was one that she would fight, but wouldn't if she didn't have to." It's going to be very interesting if I end up having to fight you. It'll actually be fun I think ". She would laugh slightly after saying that." I mean I would get joy out of the thrill fight, not exactly each other pummeling each others faces in. You look like you can fight, and I like fighting...kinda love it. Stranger though right ? [justify]Listening to Akasha as she begins to speak again, Yuki brings the mug of ale back to his lips and tilts it up before he begins to consume the rest of its contents. Once he had finished off the rest of the mug he brings the container back to the table and releases his grasp of it before leaning back into his seat as he sets his full attention back upon Akasha. As she comments about the tournament being interesting, Yuki gives a faint nod to the notion, perhaps it would be and perhaps his sensei or Jyn would decide to take part in such activities, though he didn't know for sure if either would. When she brings up the thought of fighting him, Yuki raises an eyebrow as he looks at her, such a thing would be interesting as well, he would get to see just how skilled a fighter she is and if she could stand up to his skill and strength. Keeping his attention set upon her, Yuki gives a faint nod as she makes the comment about him being able to fight though when she asks about the love of fighting being strange, Yuki shakes his head as he begins to speak, " Such a love is not strange, we all have our loves in this world. " Yuki says, offering the female a soft smile, " And I can indeed fight, it is the way I earn my keep in this world. It wouldn't be productive if I didn't know my way around a blade. What about you? Are you skilled with a blade or skilled in other areas? " the half-breed asks, seeking to find out more about this female since there was a chance he may fight her in the tournament.

NPCC: There was a bit of rough and tumble behind the bar, then a door was kicked open to reveal the apparant owner of the tavern and bar woman..man...thing. S/he walked on a peg leg and approached Ash who was sitting at the counter requesting water. " Argh aye I shall get ye yer drink ya land lubbin teetotal". It appeared that s/he was also a kind of pirate. As stated in his post s/he did indeed fill the glass up and pass it over. before bellowing out throughout the entire bar.

A quick and quiet sip would be more than enough to get my body cooled down. I would insist on sitting there, simply to observe the types of people who currently inhabited the tavern. The water was slightly stagnant, but not to the point where it would have been an absolute pain to drink. My eyes would move carefully across the bar before I turned back around to the bartender with a bit of curious intrigue. It wasn’t exactly the most discrete method of gaining information, but it was definitely the most direct. I wanted to keep the fact that I was here for the campaign on a down low, but this tournament talk had my interest piqued. “excuse me, bar tender.. what is this tournament that they speak of…” With the amount of people here, it would be natural that the information on this was probably common knowledge. I kept that in my mind while asking the question, direct and simple. The long white cloak would fall behind the barstool, hanging down above the ground and dangling there as I moved. There were a few beings of interest here, but investigating them would have to come later. Things would be re-prioritized in my mind while I attempted to get a gist for the current course of events here. If things panned out the way that I had hoped, I might be departing here just as quick as I had arrived.

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
Backing up for a moment to the point where the white haired man now known as Kautuka. Normally the telepathic communication would have been seen as a hostile assault on the chaotic tempest that has become known as consciousness called Lightning. But seeing that it has so far just been has way to voice himself rather than trying to see what was inside, respect would be given. The reply would just be a simple glance of the blue eyes at him followed by a nod before moving along.
Coming to the Inn, Reika would getting all ecstatic about the place and start talking about stuff that no one really understands. All I get from her blaming is that the place was once an Inn for the rich people of the past or something. There is really no telling as the girl is always saying odd things. Keirosuki's talk with the innkeeper was a short one and informs me that the village would handle the funds for the rooms. One of the girls would over hear him saying that we would be sharing a room. Naturally it would be whispered around the group rather fast. One of the guys would say something like 'lucky dog' when over hearing the whispering. He would get a hand chop in the back of the head by the girl next to him causing him to crash face first into the floor.
With the request to have someone track down Kautaka, I give a nod before looking back at the group. "Tinz!" A young pink haired girl shows herself out of the company. Her uniform is a little different from the rest, a long coat with a hood and a scarf wrapped around her lower face. She is also the younger than the others. "Take two more and find Kautuka and inform him where we are staying."
My talk with the innkeeper was a little longer the Keirosuki's but my silver tongue, that said something along the lines if he has a group of cute young girls running around the place he may just get a few more young men to come in, got him to come down on the cost for number of rooms needed with meals thrown in. The keys would be handed over to the lieutenants that takes care of assigning everyone to rooms and taking care getting everyone settled in.
Word would be sent to Kautuka of our location for the night.

NPCC: ” Grarh! Would ye be here for the tournie then too young lad!”.
Said the barkeep as s/he was asked by his/her customer about the tournament. Of course it was more or less common knowledge but there would be a few interesting points that would probably be coming from the points of view. ” Well, I’m sure ye know of the raid into the core that’ll be happenin...well they don’t want just any old fools rushin in for glory and blood, they be sendin in squads of folk...this tournament is to decide who here be strong enough to lead those squads...course if ye were to ask my opinion, strength alone is not required to lead such things....a strong mind be better than a strong body...particularly with the enemy ye shall face within the depths of that place....The Dark King himself....”. It would seem that the transvestite pirate barkeep had his/her own opinion of just what was required. But after speaking they would return to spit shining a glass.

Reassertion of Manifest Destiny aka Dark Tournament Duex --- RP Type: SIC (Shin Interactive Campaign) Level: All Location: The Core District Map: Link
@ Kaz/Kyro RE: Kautuka questions – the guard’s would only know about the size of the army that they were offering. They wouldn’t kno the numbers for everyone else yet since ppl were still showing up. Ppl would be keeping their own troops, they’re not gonna split ppls troops evenly, but they’ve got about 50 guards from Acura who are gonna be helping in the push. Split between 5 capts, they’re looking for groups of 10. Now if you have your own people, that’s just better for you. They didn’t anticipate ppl bringing armies larger than 10 or 15, so if you brought more, good shit.
There are primary targets and that’d be discussed w/the captains after the tournament. They’ve only scouted the area around them. They’ve only taken a few losses. The guards act funny when the Dark King is brought up. It’s almost like Beetlejuice. They dun wanna say his name too many times, but they mention they aint seen him around since the raid, but if they do see him, they think they could win, etc. About the weapons used, it would just be all types. Can’t really tell the strong ones other than those who just look strong, look around for yourself. The most unsavory are the ones who just arrived from the desert. Those sand ppl just look shady. None of the local guards are going to be in the tournament, but there is a leader who’s gonna be working with the captains w/the logistics and shit for the raids. This person’s name is Kia Rio.
@ Tavern – crowded bar = lots of ambient noise. Just keep that in mind. Barkeep = too sexy, do want. Thru the night Sanzon’d get hit on by three guys. A group of three guys like Jack’s coat. Since he’s not giving off any magic energy, they figure he’s weak. They ask for it, if he doesn’t give it to them, they make the promise to see him later, threats, etc. They don’t start a fight in the bar or anything tho. A messenger would approach Akasha hollerin at her on behalf of his boss. He’s basically telling her his boss likes strong women and asking her if she’s down for dropping Yuki and coming to a private party for a man who looks very much like the The Desert Scorpion/leader of Rajeh… matter of fact, he is, or his messenger might drop that hint, which is a pretty good diplomatic opportunity for her. Didn’t have to necc be anything sexual, just enough to keep his interest and not be bored. Of course, Yuki aint invited (:P). If not, no biggie b/c he’d still want to see her in the tourney tomorrow.
@ All RE: post action – so Rune and Noah are the only two who voted to move things on… we’re taking it to the next morning.
So the town didn’t get attacked over night. That’s a good thing. The next morning comes. Day breaks bright and clear. The tavern died down around 6 AM so some people are just be getting to sleep and other people are waking up. It’s the day of the tournament. The guards are moving around and getting things ready. There’s a small booth in front of the tavern where a guard takes sign ups for the tournament. There’s a cart next to him. The way this works out is that you basically walk up, say you’re joining the tournament and then you get a black bracelet that you’re supposed to wear. This way it’s easy to tell who’s in the tournament and who’s not. The tournament is set to start around 2PM. This should give everyone time to get ready for it.
Right now, not too much going on. It’s easier to see the town b/c it’s daylight now. There this symbol that seems to be just bout everywhere. It’s a circle with an A symbol inside it. It looks like it’s the town emblem or something like that, but the guards have it on them, it’s on the signs, buildings, carpet patterns, etc. Nothing life changing, it just noticeable. Some people are taking this time to scout the city themselves and see if they can see any Oni’s or come up with routes or strategies for the raid. Others train in open areas doing sparring sessions, exercises, or solo training, etc.

She would follow along with Takeo as they walked towards the Inn. She was never exclusive unless she felt that connection with someone. And Rin was super nice, and decent in bed. He deserved someone that could take care of him and be a good little wife. Not someone with a wandering soul, like she had. "So Takeo, what do you think about coming all the way out here? And this tournament?" She asked as she moved gracefully along beside him. A few heads were sure to turn, even those of the guard wandering around the area. At the Inn, if Takeo and herself were able to share a room, she was sure to help his boredom as well. Treating him to the same thing if not more than she had given to the doctor. If nothing else, Kichi was pleasant company.
Dawn would come and Kichi would be up with the sun, as usual. Plus she wanted to see the men train. She would have left before Takeo was awake and returned with two bowls of whatever passed for breakfast. in this place. She then sat on the bed and nudged him awake, offering him breakfast. "I plan on heading down to watch the men train. Unless you have better idea?" As much as being in here all morning with the captain would be pleasant, she knew that he was problem going to be either training or watching them train like she was.

As Domen entered, she turned and watched him walking through and into the other room. So like they have done before, while he is taking off his armor and settling everything in the bedroom, she spoke to him. "I have heard some news while in the city above us. There is a city that is on the edge of the core that is going to be launching an attack or something in order to clear out demons and such. The city is called Acura. There is a tournament tomorrow to pick captains and leaders. Not sure if you wanted to test your strength or go recruit the demons they are planning to clear out of the area." She shrugged those delicate shoulders and waited for him to answer. Most likely he would not listen much to her ramblings. After that there would be silence and then her usual nightly activity of bathing Domen, followed by a bout of passionate lovemaking, if he chose for that. Then there would be sleep. There life was the same, as they worked to make Domenance grow into something better than it once was.
If he didn't listen to her, it would most likely be because she was a woman, and most of the time he forgot that she actually possessed a brain. She couldn't fault him for it, it was the way he was. And for the most part, she figured that his Kami friend would soon be busting down the door with the same news, he would coax Domen into going, and he would forget that she mentioned it first. That was usually the case. So she had better make enough food in the morning for both of them, to send them off. Unless he brought her along.

NPCC: Since this would be a large gathering of people from places all over, it would make sense that it would attract the attention of those who held the entrepreneurial gene. As such, with the rise of the morning also came the onset and setting up of traveling merchants from all over. Since most of the action seemed to be situated around the tavern many of the traveling merchants would set up booths around the tavern square and a temporary bazaar would be created. The merchants would take advantage of the fact that rations for traveling were never good and the men who came here probably didn’t have the foresight to bring enough food to handle their numbers. On top of that, it was very possible that the village’s tavern could be eaten out of stock. Thus with the army of merchants would come a variety of foods from all over, a breakfast smorgasbord wafting the smell of freshly made food in the air for those just waking up.
--
Battousai/Jyn: After waiting for Lightning to finish getting her people situated, Battousai would head up to their room and make himself comfortable. There he would change out with Jyn, and instead of heading down to the bar to see what Yuki was up to, Jyn would stay in the room with Lightning and simply spend quality time with her. If she had plans or had to deal with her troops, then he would just go to sleep early to get ready for the next day.
Takeo: Answering his date for the night, Takeo would answer, “it seems like a lot of traveling, but it does look like it’s for something that’s interesting. I don’t mind getting out and about.” Since they were both travelers before winding up in Jun’Jo, he figured she would get him on that one. After getting into the room, the samurai was able to enjoy a night well spent. With the next morning, he would awaken to the smell of food and the sight of Kichi on the bed next to him. Taking the breakfast that was offered to him, Takeo would answer, “sure, that’s fine. I’ll probably be out later. I’m not sure if the boss wants me participating or not.” Thinking over it as he began the first bites of his breakfast, he would comment, “I should probably report to him this morning…” Thus his main objective for the morning would be set. He wasn’t the type to handcuff, thus Kichi would be free to move about as she wished; he had gotten what he wanted the night before, so he was good.

The demon’s ear would be to the priestess as her voice echoed through the portion of the empty house in which they were currently in. He finds interest in her words as she speaks of the core. It wasn’t too long ago that he and Sanzon had traveled to the core to visit the site of Sanzon’s old place of business. The demon knew that the Kami would no doubt have caught wind of this activity and would probably be on his way to visit this area. Domen was not ignorant of the fact that his lineage was demonic as well; a place purging demons could potentially be an enemy unless they only discriminated against certain types. Her words do bring up an interesting point in possible objectives however. Though Domen was interested in battle, the recruitment of demons was a thing of interest as well. He knew, though, that he didn’t need to worry too much about it, since his will would be done regardless.
With that said, Domen would accept her words and return to the bathroom, now stripped of his weapons and armor and only clothed in his loincloth. That would come off as well as he moved to allow the priestess to welcome him into his bath. From there, the ritual would indeed follow with the sex and then rest though the night. With the dawning of the morning, Domen would find himself awoken as he is every morning and then proceed in getting ready for the day, wondering if he should venture to this place of which Kazakura spoke. In the process of moving out from beneath the covers of their bed, Domen would ask, “do you know on which edge of the core the place you spoke of is?”

Akasha's laughed slightly, and before she could actually reply to his question, someone would approach her. The individual that approached her would appear to be under the orders of someone else, and with the request to see her, She would have it in her mind to deny the request. She looked to Yuki though, and thought that she was beginning to enjoy his presence, which also appeared as a negative thing because there was a chance that the two would be facing each other in the tournament tomorrow, and to answer Yuki's question would be a bad idea in this case. Maybe this little thing was a gift that wasn't exactly obvious, so she would accept the request to go with the guy to see this person who was advertised through various hints by the messenger as someone of high status. There was a couple of things that processed in her head. This could possibly be the opportunity that she had been looking for, and it was a Party of which requested her so it gave a bit of a V.I.P Feel...She really couldn't pass that up unless there was a really good reason, and talking to someone that you began to enjoy was no where near a good reason for her to not go. Akasha would decide to go, getting up from her seat and then looking to Yuki. It had actually been quite a long time since Akasha got to party which made this seem all the more brighter of the choices.
It was then at that moment that it appeared that the events of the Past was repeating itself, the very events that put her in this ordeal. ninety seven percent of the details were the exact same, as to three percent was minor differences...Akasha spending time with the person she would eventually fall in love with Raiki, only to ditch him when Rex came along offering an opportunity for enjoyment in what would be their version of a fight club. Only this time the person she was enjoying was Yuki, the person was someone random, and the opportunity for enjoyment was a party and not a type of fight club. One would think that she would take notice of the event that was occurring and walk away, but this one presented a greater thing that she wanted than just fighting. With not even realizing it, Akasha would repeat everything she said to Raiki on the day that she ditched him, but to Yuki, basically telling him that she's gonna head out and that she'll be looking forwards to seeing him again tomorrow. With that Akasha would get up and follow the guy to where the boss of the messenger was having the party, and she would party her ass off. She kept sexual behavior limited to being flirtatious, but just enough to show that she was a party girl but not one who would just give herself over in a manner that others did. Her clothes remained in contact and on her, though they weren't that much sheltering to begin with. The Party and interactions with the individuals there was the most interesting.
The Dawn of a New day would come, and Akasha would walk out of the place where the party was held. She flicked her hair back and stood with a refreshed smile on her face. She had a lot of fun in that party, and the things that was discussed lingered in her mind. As much as she would have probably enjoyed sticking around, she had to head out for awhile. She would first do what she did every single day while traveling, which was clean up. It took some time, but she would appear to be walking towards the Tavern fresh and new, almost like a doll in a container that had just been opened. Akasha had all her things on her, something she made sure of before leaving as many people couldn't be trusted. She wondered if she was going to bump into Yuki again before the tournament, though that wouldn't be the highest thing on her mind. It was when she saw the small stand for sign ups that really pulled her attention, along with all the merchants that wasn't there last night. The Tournament was today and she couldn't help but feel extremely excited, even though she wouldn't show it too much besides having a smirk on her face with her arms crossed underneath her breasts. She also figured that it wouldn't be her last time encountering the individuals from the party. She wasn't going anywhere so if they had something that they had to discuss with her that wasn't discussed last night, then they would be able to reach her or find her within the village. With the things that happened so far, one thing had always been on her mind, which was her older Sister Phaedra. She couldn't help but feel her out there, always near her even during the period that she had to go on without her. Phaedra was the most capable of the two, which was why Akasha didn't worry about her, as opposed to simply missing her. Phaedra being there would have made all this far better and enjoyable. It was also always hilarious how some people reacted around not just around 2 people who were identical twins, but beautiful ones at that. That kind of fun couldn't exactly be found anywhere else in the world, well at least without the help of Magic. The day held so many surprises for each and every individual, and for Akasha, she remained prepared for whatever was to occur. -------------------------------- Summary » Akasha Ditched Yuki for The Party Invite and Partied her brains out » Akasha Completed Objective " Transitioned to the Next Day " » Left where the party was held » Akasha headed back to the Tavern only to find it packed with Mercs

Though he had asked what areas Akasha was skilled in, he wasn't to sure he would get an answer from her and such a thing was fine since it didn't really matter to much. However things seem to change up as a male comes and speaks with her about someone wishing to see her and a private party. This is where things seem to shift for the half-breed, instead of having someone to talk to while in the tavern, Akasha seems to take the man up on the offer he had put forth to her and raise from her set before leaving. Now that Akasha had left him, Yuki was left to his own devices and no one to talk to now. With the absence of his lovely female company, Yuki shifts back to other reasons he had come into the tavern, one of which being to get something to eat, which is what he does. Waving down a waitress Yuki orders a nice dinner meal as well as another drink. When his food arrived, Yuki partook of one final meal and drink for the evening before seeking the one he needed to speak to in order to get lodgings for the night.
With the dawning of a new day, Yuki was reluctant at first to rouse from his slumber but given the day had things he had to accomplish in it he had no other choice but to rouse from his peaceful slumber and climb from bed. Once he had climbed out of bed Yuki gets dressed and leaves the tavern. Making his way from the tavern Yuki spots the sign up booth manned by a guard and given his statement the night before about joining the tournament Yuki makes his way over to the booth. Coming up to the booth Yuki signs up for the tournament and collects the black bracelet before being on his way.

With the new day in store, new faces would begin to appear, though for reason's why it was uncertain, but they appeared none the less. Today appeared an interesting one. A Young Priestess, a seer none the less. She had been moving about this oni infested area for quite sometime. Surviving on her own, well not exactly on her own she had Epona. Who was Epona you ask, well Epona was quite noticeable as her mane was a crackling white and her skin this luminescent silver blue scales, yes scales, and a horn that stuck out that glowed the same crackling white that the mane did. It's beady eyes this deep glowing red. It's hooves click, clacked upon the ground. She wasn't in any rush. This Priestess though looked armed and dangerous, but that was in appearance she was quite pacifistic, but no one knew that. There were few people today that knew her. In fact she had thought all the people she knew were gone and dead. She had been alone for so long, only Epona to keep her company. At least she could talk to her and she wouldn't go crazy when her horse spoke back, correction, her Kirin. It was rather interesting when her horse changed and evolved into a Kirin. She had pondered if Kazakura at the time knew of this, but it didn't matter. Epona was a gift to her and she adored her so. There was a mutual connection between herself and Epona, but to others she might seem like some crazy girl speaking to a 'demon' unless people of this day and age knew the difference between a mystical creature and a oni.
No matter, off in the distance this woman with earthly colored eyes, donning her kimono outfit, which around her arms leather bracers were adorned and around her chest a leather brestplate and strapped to her back at an angle was a gorgeous naginata which was covered by a targe. That was it for what could be seen, well her hair grew out a bit longer than what it use to be. She didn't have the nessecary tool's to cut her hair, so it had grown out much longer than it was before. Though she had been riding for quite sometime so she was tired, her skin was a bit pale as well. Though she caught wind of something about a tournament, which to her made it a perfect opportunity to meet with the people of this time. She didn't want to battle, she wanted to not be alone anymore. She wanted to know that there were still people out there and alive and not just oni's that attempt to fool her into thinking there were still human's around. She would be able to notice the 30 foot log wall that surrounded this place known as Acura. this was definitely something new to her seeing a new place like this that seemed organized and not in ruins. She rode closer to the entrance and halted near the front gate looking for a gate guard or something that she could speak to.

Travel, Travel and more travel. They certainly have been around and getting to see quite a bit of this new world. Riding around on a dragon can get quite exciting, well at least for her, she could tell that Jyn wasn't so comfortable about this since he didn't have a steering wheel. Though she kept close to him to do her best to keep him comfortable. Now she was riding Rhapsody high through the skies after their break at her family grounds, if Jyn was with her then she would be clinging to him, if not then she would be alone on her dragon's back. Soaring over Sai city once again to see if there was anything new to explore to find supplies or something. Though there was something interesting that she did spot in the distance from above, which was well a sectioned off part of the city. This brought about a main question as to 'what's there?' Though just watching it from where she was she could tell there was some sort of life down there, but how they would react to a dragon coming from above. Well that was a different story. She had to think a moment to how this could be worked out.
Pondering various idea's and the most reasonable one would have been to drop down miles away from the city, but that would leave quite a distance to walk from especially in this perilous part of the city. She was able to see many, many demon's from where she was. Of course she knew they would be able to see her since she was riding a dragon and those are pretty big in the sky. Though her dragon still wasn't a full sized dragon it was still growing. But there was advantages and disadvantages to this. Maybe she should start some sort of legend of sort of her and Jyn being dragon slayers, or Dragon riders or something like that. Well dragon's were still considered extremely dangerous in this day and age right? She sighed to herself as it was a bit difficult and the only thing let was to land near by and hope she's not attacked.

SIC: Reassertion of Manifest Destiny (Prologue, Pt. 1)
The night would be spent with a little bit of quality time with Jyn. The troops took care of their own for the most part, though there was a knock on the door in the middle of knight in which I was informed that the male members of the unit tried to raid the female members rooms for 'panties' and a pillow war has broken out. After giving the night training a go ahead and setting the mission objectives, which was get the underwear of the other team's leader, I returned to bed.
My head rest on Jyn's chest, he was a good pillow. The morning light would wake me, unless someone that likes to float around outside knocks on the window, or the door before then. By body would slowly shift to peal myself off Jyn to get dressed. I would do so half hearted leaving my uniform disheveled and only half fasten.
In the hall outside the door of the room, a young man, a pair of hot pink panties with black strips worn on top of his head, and a young girl, with a pair of white boxer shorts with pink dots on them, are asleep next to the door. By the way their hands are shoved into each other's face, it looks like the two feel sleep fighting over something.

Reassertion of Manifest Destiny aka Dark Tournament Duex --- RP Type: SIC (Shin Interactive Campaign) Level: All Location: The Core District Map: Link
So ppl started to notice something. The previous day and night were way too peaceful for a place that’s supposed to be in the middle of the danger zone. It was odd. Even while they were training and stuff, people murmur about the rumors basically saying that the core would be an easy win now and that the demons were too afraid to even be around Acura. Ppl in line at the continental buffet bring up the gossip. Were the demons really that bad? There were a ton of people here for the cause. The desert was represented by the Exalted Desert Tribe, led by The Desert Scorpion with a group of about 40 warriors w/em obviously here for power and land whether they got it thru the rules or not. Jun’Jo brought about 40 with them. Even people from the forest clans were here and stood out. They went by the name Okoku now, but included members of the Moon, Sun and Earth clans w/about 20 people with them. Hiliger and Adventurer Guild ppl would be around in numbers going up to about 50. As for current events and gossip: people notice that Mare Maris didn’t show up for this. Not really known to anyone (or the queen really), members of Mare Maris’s secret police (the Gestalt of w/e) would be around, they’d just be disguised as mercs or bandits joining the core fight. But the main thing was they had pretty good numbers for a raid. It was hard to believe that the demons would be able to stand a chance. Specially if they weren’t organized. Long story short, morale is very high in Acura.
One thing that’s interesting is that a couple people who got drunk in the tavern were missing. Nothing huge, but the scenario is basically a couple of guys aren’t able to find their buddy who got drunk and walked back to the Inn on his own. There’d be about a half dozen cases of this, so it wouldn’t be strange if someone just walked up to someone else asking “…have you seek a guy who looks like this?”
--
The guards would let people who looked like they were leaders or who signed up for the tournaments that Kio Rio, the town’s head honcho, was having a meeting before the tournament to clear up things and that village leaders and bosses should go to it. It’d be about a block or two away from the tavern in a gutted out warehouse building and would start whenever they got most of the leaders together. When someone got to the warehouse entrance/door, a guard would ask them what village they were from or how many troops they brought w/them before letting them in. Just normal ppl with no village or troops wouldn’t be let in unless they were with a boss. For bosses only. Ross. Maybach Music.

OOC @ all - so for now, RP, mingle and kick it. The bosses have diplomatic stuff to talk about and then the tournament will be coming up. Penny had learned pretty much everything that he needed just by sitting at the bar and staying quiet.
Sparky was here, that was interesting enough. He didn’t know that the Kami had actually survived. But then again maybe he was like him. Just randomly woke up somewhere. Seemed likely. So there was some kind of tournament that was going to decide who was leading the battle parties. He had to say that he agreed with the transvestite pirate barkeep. A good mind was better than a good sword arm in siege situations. A tactician on the battle field could make all sorts of difference. But then he wasn’t going to be taking any real ACTIVE role in this kind of thing. Would he join up in someone’s group looking to purge the core? Probably. Would he actually be one of the team? One of the gang? A light grin came across his features, shaded by his hat.
Course not. This hell hound had but one master. If he saw fit, he’d abandon his squad. He’d even sabotage the mission if it was in the best interests of the Kyro Corporation.
And that’s when the men came over asking him to hand over his coat. Penny just stared ahead hoping that they’d go away. But they really were quite persistent about the fact. There was the itch, the temptation to pull a knife on them. TO smash their heads into the bar. But actions like that often had the effect of drawing unwanted attention. And well he was trying to remain incognito at this point. So he just shook his head. ” No thanks friends!”. Then came the promise to meet him later. Well that was just fine and dandy. As long as it was out of sight and dark he could take care of them without drawing much attention to himself. Which was just great!
[THE NEXT DAY]
Penny had spent much of the night in the bar, pretty much just continuing to listen to the drunks ramble on. Some of them asking about missing friends or colleagues. Probably got drunk and wandered off into the night. Hardly surprising and this close to the core. Well no doubt there would be some casualties from that alone. For the moment he pretty much stalked around the people who were signing up for the tournament. He himself had no interest in doing anything of the sort. But thought it would be interesting to get the names of some of those who were aiming to be the leaders in this raid.

I would sit, and listen until an unfamiliar voice came to me. Was he.. drunk? How dare a human flirt with me in such an inelegant manner. Just because I had a sense of fashion and kept myself well presented did not mean that I was of any informal sexual orientation. Dismissing the human with a glare, I would experience the same thing not once, not twice, but three times over the course of the evening. Finally listening to enough to get what I needed, I would depart the bar and head with a large group who were moving towards the inn. Once there, fare for the night would be given I would head to the room and close it, making sure to lock it before getting some well needed rest. During the night, I would awake to a sense of restlessness, but find nothing out of the ordinary. Returning to sleep, daylight would break through the window of the room, piercing the darkness and forcing me awake.
Upon daybreak, clothes would be applied, my formal white robe would be worn, the ornamental guantlets slid on, and a cross necklace hung around my neck. I would skip breakfast in lieu of signing up for the tournament as early as possible. Once the signature had been made, I would lift off the ground, taking flight and heading straight for the former city of Domenance. I knew where to find someone who would find this entire ordeal extremely entertaining, and rather usefull to his cause. The flight to the southwest would not take that long, and the fresh air would fully refresh me, allowing me to focus on the task at hand : finding an excuse for him to come back with me. I would skip the meeting of the bosses, as I had yet to reclaim my full territory and apply my political power to the region I once held. That, however, would change over time as I had already regained a small following there.
Upon reaching Domenance an hour or so later, I would fly over the former area, and head directly towards the cliffside. The water was absolutely beautiful today, and as much as I wanted to go for a swim I would decide upon skipping it as soon as my eyes discovered the familiar entrance to an underground cavern which housed the being I was searching for.
Landing at the edge of it, I would yell out with a resounding "KNOCK KNOCK"

One thing he was able to decipher, was that one never really got used to riding a dragon, or rather he didn’t. To him, performing this function was kind of like some sort of punishment that was needed in order to get from one place to another quickly. Still, it was the comfort of having mount Izumi behind him that offered his soul little solace while flying high among the clouds. Around the same that that Izumi noticed a peculiar portion of the city, it would come upon Jyn’s glance as well. He noticed the activity within the walls that separated it from the rest of the city that seemed to be human. Curiosity was piqued as he wondered why only this portion of the city had humans in it; he would have assumed that the city would be the most heavily human populated area as it had been in his time, but it seemed like that large population was reduced to a small fortified town. It seemed evident that they would be heading down there since Izumi and Rhapsody seemed interested in it. Being the voice of reason, Jyn would request, “land outside of the western gates. It would be bad to land in the center of the town given the reactions to Rhapsody that the people in Rockland had.” There was no indication that these people were any different and landing outside at least allowed them to test the waters before being in the middle of something that could be trouble.

Dawn would come, and yes, she would awaken Domen in the usual manner, get herself ready and be fixing a warm breakfast for them plus a third. The glass door would be open and Kaelas, the large story tall winged door mat would be in his place. Lifting he his head, he growled at the kami and stood up. Breaking the growl to yawn like the lazy rug he was. Then looking back to the Lightening kami, he growled once more. He remembered the time that priestess and himself had seen this kami in action. The beast's growl was more for making him move out of the way than to fend off intruders. Stretching in that long slow, feline way with paws out and but in the air, he yawned again. Finally he moved out of the doorway to allow the Kami entrance to the front room of the underground mansion.
Kazakura was currently bringing out a few plates of food to the dining table, when she heard Kaelas growl. Hands full of a plate each, she stepped out to the front hallway and smiled at him. "Ahh. I figured you would no doubt show up this morning. Good morning" Her smile was bright and cheerful. Her silver slippered foot coming in contact with the tiger's rear end to get him to move faster. "Do not mind the lazy beast. Come in, are you hungry? I made breakfast. Domen will be out shortly."
