Reassertion of Manifest Destiny: Sanzon : vs : Hand to Hand Specialist

I would continue on my way, curious to what Jyn had to talk about as we continued our discussion on possibilities for the future. I wouldn’t talk much more as my attention was taken by the speaker system. I was being called up to partake in my part of the tournament. It was about time, really. I had waited long enough, and was more than eager to test my grounds with progress so far. Looking to the ex- commissioner, then at the screen, I would take note of the location for my first fight. My fight was on the top of a large cleared out parking deck to the side of the park. A block’s worth of elevated concrete and faded white line surrounded by a 4 foot high lip and iron wire fence. It would be a quick and easy flight over to it, before I would descend, planting my feet firmly on the top of the cement surface. The garage I had drove past before, and flown over many times in my days here in the city. Taking a hand to my chest, I would feel the necklace, fully aware and ready for whatever was going to come, all I had to do now was wait for my opponent to show up. Hopefully this would give me a chance to really test the limits of my strength. Combat had not been a priority lately, even though I had spent most of my time with Domen. speaking of the demonic counterpart, I hoped his fight was going in his favor as well. We would definitely be meeting up after this.

Landing, I would take notice of the being who awaited me. I felt bad for making him wait, but that was not particularly my fault. It wasn’t like I had made him wait an excessively long time either. As he stood, my shoulders would roll slightly backwards, allowing the now off white suit jacket to slide down my arms, where I would catch it in my right hand and pull it to the side. Folding it in front of me, I would gently lay it on the ground before taking a few steps forward. I didn’t really want to get my clothes dirty, and since I had no idea what kind of fighter this man was, it wasn’t within the scope of possibility that he was stronger than I was at my current state. I had high hopes that Domen was taking care of things on his end, but there was always a possibility of the same issue there.

I would acknowledge his politeness with a casual smile and half bow. Standing back up, my demeanor would change into full combat mode. With the signal to begin being made, I would waste no time with throwing my right arm forward. Pulling my fingers into my palm, a light exhale would force a spark at the end of my index finger before a lightning bolt was fired slightly to the left of him. On the inhale, another would be fired immediately towards the slight right of him (both by about a foot off). I wanted to test his dexterity, and hope that I could keep him at a decent range. Flexing the muscles in my legs, I would be ready to take flight if necessary.

This human was quick, if he was in fact a human at all. I had not anticipated such a simple means of dodging my lightning, or someone even making a run at me in close combat. He obviously had no idea who I was.. or at least who I used to be. I was fully aware that I was not as strong as my former self, but that wasn’t going to let me not fight my hardest. After all, I was the Lightning Tiger, and the rightful ruler of the lower commons. I wasn’t about to fall at the hands of a mere human. Keeping my body planted, my weight would shift backwards, while my hands curled into fists. Bracing for impact (guarding), I would allow him to get close instead of taking flight. It was a split second decision to make and I was hoping that it was actually the correct one.
With the human taking hold of my jacket (something that thoroughly infuriated me, a rarity), both arms would snap onto his. A quick inhale for the left (lightning fist) and an exhale for the right (lightning fist), both would go off nearly simultaneously as I was taken down with him, attempting to do as much damage to him as he could do to me in the first place. I wasn’t about to go out without a fight. The blue sparks at this range would be impossible to avoid, especially if he happened to be holding onto me.

The zap was what I needed to get free of the human. With him rolling away, my body would jerk backwards and straight vertical before I landed on my feet. The surprise speed of the human, who was a bit faster than myself, would take me by surprise and my instinctual reflexes would begin to take hold. My right arm would move straight vertical, becoming horizontal with his kick. A spark would ignite at the end of it, releasing a bolt of lightning at point blank while my left hand came up, palming the side of his leg. I had a feeling the bolt wasn’t going to be enough to stop him, but maybe the extra push from the lightning would slow him down enough for my lightning fist to make its mark. I was curious to how much damage this human could take, but my greater concern was how much this weaker body could withstand. If the attack made it to my mid section, a clang would be heard from the clash of bronze metal beneath my coat. The object of much work, it was a rare gem of knowledge that I kept safe, as only one other spirit had the same ability (Domen). i would definitely be able to feel the pressure from the strike, and be forced backwards after the potential impact.

OOC : Both are FC perfected, Level 1 Damage. I used the lightning bolt on the first half count, then the lightning fist on the second half of the count. I dont know if this would count as dealing negative damage to lighten his own force or not, would you mind calculating all of the damage for this little exchange? I would rather it be done right the first time lol

My body would slide backwards before coming to a halt. Clenching my fingers into a fist, my right arm would twist backwards, rolling my shoulder and loosening it up a bit. It had been a long time since i had engaged in single combat, and now I knew why. I was highly impressed that he was capable of not only getting close to me, but taking me to the ground. Thankfully, my suit jacket was in a rather safe place to the side where I wouldnt have to worry about getting it dirty.

I had my next strike ready in my mind, and would not waste any time. Keeping my muscles tight, a series of sparks would move across my body before centering in my chest.
"lightning.. explode!"
It would be one of the rare times that I actually would use a chant. The result would be a flash of light before lightning spread out, moving rapidly to a fifteen foot radius around me. If he was close enough, he would be caught in the radial blast.I had yet to practically use this technique since I returned, so even I had my reservations about it. Sometimes it was easier to just go with the flow, and this was definitely one of those rare times.

OOC//Defending with the technique plus the armor density 5 comes out to 0 damage, but armor disappears to be used another day. If he wasn't guarding a Str 2 damage to Defense 2 is 25 damage if he isnt guarding, using a tech, or wearing armor. I assume the first one would be damage and the second one that hit would be directed to counter his attack, so only 25 damage total for each of us?

there would be nothing left for me to do here. My opponent was ceeding, giving me the victory. I wasn't about to start complaining. Unfortunately for me, I had been unable to make sure I had a full grasp on everything. On the other hand, I had successfully used what I had needed. Lowering my guard I would walk over to the human before extending a hand.

I looked at the black band on my wrist, and wondered if he was okay. He didn't look to have much damage on his body, but that was just from the initial look of things. It wasn't like I had experienced the force of lightning in the past sixty years I really hoped that this human would progress with a successful future, and I would get the opportunity to engage in combat with him again. For now, I could relax and wait for the next round of fights to begin. I needed a breather anyway, my mid section was still sore from him kicking me and my armor needed time to recover
