.: Theden, Medius
Things had been going pretty well since coming to Theden. Whereas Jyn though this life in this new would be busy and complicated, he actually started settling into life in Theden starting by getting a job to earn a honest living to pay for the house that he and Izumi had picked out. Among his primary skills were following orders and botany; the later had been his primary job before getting involved with Division 12. He worked in a small florist shop and paid for his apartment with the money he made there at that time, and now, he worked with one of the florists of the village who seemed to have a contract with the city when it came to beautifying it and such. Still, the work was right up his alley since it was peaceful and something he didn’t mind doing. He didn’t have to deal with people, so much, since the lady in charge took care of all of that, so he was free to just work in the gardens that they were busy developing.
During this time of peacefulness, he had almost forgotten about Sanzon. Even though he had mentioned them working together, this world was so vast and the village of Theden so small, compared to what he was used to, he figured he would probably never see Sanzon again, or at least not for a long time. Jyn didn’t have the ability to fly, he wasn’t in the high profile position he was in before… the likelihood of seeing Sanzon was indeed small unless something large happened in the world.
At the moment, Jyn would be walking near the base of the mountains that Theden was at the foot of, outside the village, moving through the meadows with a straw basket on his back, looking for wild herbs and flowers that could be used to reseed the garden. He would be enjoying the clear afternoon with a soft breeze blowing by, keeping the area temperate.
“Kind of…?” she would understand from him before shrugging, “hmmph… good enough…” She would return her gaze to the Kami as he approached and acknowledged her. This made things easy since he seemed to be sociable enough to come when called. That would make speaking with him that much easier. With his approach, Jyneil would offer him a smile and greet, “quite the show you put up there…” She would continue, “men are so odd; you float in the air, fight for a while, and then leave with so few words.” Sitting in a prissy manner on top of her horse that would have her slightly elevated, she would continue, “so I’m certain you came here for a reason? As you should have gathered, the man you fought is the leader of this village that I am a part of. He is also my Wolf.” Introducing herself as his woman would seem a bit to demeaning for her. She inquires, “…but who are you, stranger, and where do you come from?”
With the male stopping Yuki keeps his gaze fixed on the male and watches as he begins to descend back to the ground. It seemed Jyneil had gotten the males attention and managed to get him to come to them. Since Jyneil wished to speak with the male, Yuki decides to remain silent for the time being to see what she wished to ask the male. Once Jyneil begins to speak Yuki glances to her for a brief moment before turning his gaze back to the male. Listening to Jyenil, Yuki begins to wonder if she just wished to chat with him though as she continues to speak Yuki sees that she wished to know the reason why he had came here. When she refers to him as her wolf, Yuki turns his gaze from the male, looking to Jyenil he thinks upon her comment for a moment as he furrows his brow while looking at her.
The leader of that village? Well.. that was a convenient inconvenience. Smiling at the compliment of the show, which is how it would be taken, I’d turn my eyes over to the male again. Perplexed by her statement about him being a wolf, it made me wonder. Was he a wolf spirit? I was a cat type, which might be a natural reason why we didn’t get along already. Wolves were protective after all, and me being a tiger I had a tendency to claw first and ask questions later. She reminded me of Angela with her tone and directness. I didn’t know if that was a quality to enjoy, or be hassled with. From the gaze of the male, I figured it was probably the latter. Oh well, behind every great man was a.. well.. annoyingly great woman. I would waste no time formulating a proper response, but give it to the male.
“My name is Sanzon Loki, and I am the leader of the Ventura Organization. I was on my way to find potential allies, and the whereabouts of a particular few humans that I previously was acquainted with. One of them is the being that fired those massive energy attacks at me. From there, you know the rest of the story.. You have a pretty strong defense for a village out here, and a particularly strong leader. I’ve met none who shrug off my lightning that weren’t of our kind.”
Raising an eyebrow, Jyneil would curiously tilt her head to follow his gaze as it seemed to move to Yuki on accident. It was no big deal, however, since she just followed the gaze so that she was in front of Yuki and Sanzon’s eyes could easily rest on her since she had been speaking. It wasn’t an act so much to disrespect Yuki, but more so being cheeky at Sanzon. After his words were done, she would give an amused grin, understanding he was a leader of sorts; that was indeed interesting. With the reference to one of their civilians, Jyneil would observe, “so the botanist is a former colleague of yours and he’s been hiding his fighting abilities having become a florist? That’s certainly interesting information to know. You must be a great person to have your friends shoot at you on sight.” By now, she could tell that Sanzon didn’t seem to mean any harm. He had retreated and came back to talk without any hostilities. She would venture, “so it’s safe to assume you’re not a hostile force I take it? We like our peace around here.”
Turning his gaze from Jyenil, Yuki looks back to the male as he seems to turn his gaze and look back. Yuki gazes ahead of him at the male for a moment before Jyneil moves in front of him, something that causes him to turn his attention and glance down at her for a moment as he wonders why she had moved in front of him for a brief moment. As the male begins to speak, Yuki listens as he introduces himself as the leader of some organization and continue speaking. Listening to the make as he brings up the attack upon him, Yuki recalls the large discharge of energy into the air that he thought might have been some sort of magical attack though he wasn't completely sure. Once Jyneil began to speak Yuki glances down at her for a brief moment as she comments about a botanist. For the time being Yuki chooses to remain silent and listen to Jyneil as she continues speaking. From the sound of it seemed that they had someone in the village keeping there capabilities hidden rather then bringing them to light and showing that they may be capable of offering aid to the defense of Theden.
“hostile? Not really. Defensive? Absolutely. Who wouldn’t be in these times. The days of armed convoys and skilled bodyguards with machine guns are gone. I like to think I can take care of myself for the most part. What about your settlement? How exactly do you maintain a safe border in these difficult times?” It would be geared more towards the male, and a strike straight at political business. It was nothing too serious, but I was intelligent enough to figure out scalability for a future partnership based on where this conversation went. It was much easier to create allies than start a turf war, and that was something I absolutely wanted to avoid. There were more than enough issues in my neck of the woods, the last thing I needed was a long distance enemy. I could already hear Domen laughing at me in my head at the lack of victory I had pulled out of that combat. Best to not bring this one up during conversation. Speaking of not bringing anything up, may as well give that ex commissioner a pain in the ass while I’m here. “and yes.. he shoots first and asks later.. he’s always been like that. I’m surprised he hasn’t shot you actually. He doesn’t really like our kind that much. He used to lead the anti spirit defense team, or something like that. He had a strict policy of death before deportment if you catch my drift. He isn’t really a sociable person, but as you can tell, he knows how to hold his own. I’m surprised he kept that from you, being it your village and all.”
Since she was eventually responded to directly, she wouldn’t mind too much the tidbit gotten in at Yuki. He spoke of things she hadn’t really heard of. She figured machine guns were some type of defensive device. Though a question was asked of Yuki, an answer was still given to her. Thus she would speak her peace first, then allow the men to communicate between one another, since it didn’t seem like the threesome would go smoothly. She interjects, “the botanist is a mild man who has shown no prior hostilities. I’ll be sure to inquire about you since you’re right, it does seem as if he holds some type of prejudice.” From there, she would look to Yuki and comment, “I suppose I could do that now. He seems alright, so I’ll let you do your village leader thing; I have to return to the village and manage the work I was in the middle of overseeing.” With a short smile offered to Sanzon and Yuki, she would turn on her horse and proceed towards the village unless something was needed of her that would prevent such an action.
Standing behind Jyenil now that she had placed her self between him and the male, Yuki listens to the male as he begins to speak. Listening to the male Yuki found that he spoke of strange things that he had never heard of, though he got to the point as to how he defended his village from threats. With the question from the male Yuki dwells on it though the answer to it was fairly straight forward, however before he could answer the male continues to speak bringing up the one that had shot at him, someone that seemed to be from his village. As Sanzon speaks about the male that had shot at him, Yuki listens as it turns out the male may be hiding some hatred towards his kind, something the half-breed thought may become a problem. Once Sanzon finished speaking and Jyenil spoke up, Yuki shifts his attention to her as she addresses the male Sanzon spoke of. Once Jyenil looks to him Yuki keeps his gaze set upon her as she informs him of her return to the village. As she informs him of her return to the village Yuki gives a faint nod of agreement to the idea, " Alright. Inform them that everything is fine and I will be along shortly. " Yuki says to Jyenil before turning his attention back to Sanzon, " How I have come to protect my village is very simple, strength. Not only do I have the strength and the drive to defend my lands from those who would do it harm but also do those that wish to take up arms and fight with me. "
I’d let my eyes watch the woman as she departed from our conversation, returning to the village. Listening to the other talk about his rather barbarically simple method of defending his village, his statement would end with a statement that would grant me interest. Fighting wasn’t something that I was particularly fond of these days, but it was necessary. I had to agree with him though; the most absolute way to protect your territory was through absolute strength. Nodding my head in agreement, I’d fold my legs up to a sitting position and float in front of him, feeling a bit better now that my body had cooled down and relaxed a bit. “Strength is the only absolute force in this world. The city is slowly beginning to rebuild itself, through a coalition of our kind working alongside the humans. I’ve been collecting allies to create a stable defense network. This might not be the best place to discuss business, but I can promise you there will be no hostility from myself or my organization shown towards your settlement. I recognize and acknowledge your isolationism and respect that.” It made sense to start business in a more respected, honorable manner than normal. This village was a special item, and its distance from the dangerous areas made it a primary asset for support. There were many things that could be done to offer enhancements to not only the expansion and defenses of the village, but supplies and medical expertise as well.
Falling silent after answering Sanzon's question, Yuki watches as the male takes up a sitting position though Yuki chooses to remain standing as he watches Sanzon. As Sanzon begins to speak Yuki listens to the male as he seems to speak of his own city. While listening to the male the half-breed gathers that he perhaps wishes to allies with him which seemed like it may be a good thing to do though Yuki knew he would have to talk it over with another. When Sanzon brings up the idea of moving from the forest back to Theden, Yuki shifts his gaze from Sanzon and glances around for a brief moment before turning his attention back to Sanzon and gives a faint nod to the idea of moving back to Theden. With the promise of no hostilities on Sanzon's part Yuki decides to take him back to Theden so they can continue discussions and he can perhaps send word to Battousai. Before Sanzon finishes speaking he comments about being isolated, something that causes the half-breed to raise an eyebrow as he looks at the male for a moment. " Follow me. " Yuki says with a faint nod as he raises from the ground, taking to the air before he begins to head back to Theden.
I would have a peculiar thought in my mind when the half-breed raises his eye brows. I had done a bit learning in the field of body language over time, and something was going to be interesting very soon. I had given my word to refrain from hostilities, and that was something that was absolute in my book. Stretching my legs out, I would give a simple “alright” with a nod before taking to the air behind him. I wondered what kind of village he had built, and if he was the only one protecting it. There were so many questions that I had, and even though I had found the commissioner, this was more important than rekindling his desire to shoot me in the chest. Looking down at the ground, it was a good thing our battle had taken part in the air. I would have been an absolute shame to damage the landscape here. The change in scenery was well appreciated, and much different from the bleak city skyline, and lack of city lights that I had for a view. Keeping an even distance behind the other spirit, I let my mind wonder about his full strength. He had done a decent amount of damage in one swing, and let me know where my absolute weakness currently was at. the thought of engaging in combat with someone of that strength made me a rather happy spirit.
