So. Back to learning how to be Wiseman. Not that this might actually have made much of a difference in this world. But you never know. A mask of sorts was always good when you were faced with a world that utterly despised you.

He found himself back in the remains of the north centres library. Whilst most things had been looted burned or were otherwise lost. Some of the books remained intact and after gathering a couple up in his hands he moved down to a seat and sat himself down. " Conflict Management...". He grumbled to himself. Generally his idea of conflict management would be beating the pulp out of a person, driving them insane till they saw his point of view or just removing them all together....which could occur in various ways. However Wiseman had to be different. Wiseman had to be the guy that people didn't really see much of the demonic exterior. Whilst this hadn't much happened during the final battle. Clearing out a store using a chainsaw. He had to get back into character for this little fresh start of theirs.

" Conflict management...is all about comprimise...and lowering the negative aspects of conflict to a state of equality with the positive...."

Well it was all greek to him. Although the gist of it seemed to be that conflict management was about talking out your problems and coming to a direct comprimise with the source of the conflict. He looked up from the book for a moment and tried to imagine himself doing it. "...hm....Nah...".

The next part of this book seemed to cover just what conflict was. Its stages how it started and all that crap.

In Penny's mind most conflict arose over territory first and foremost. Hell it tended to spout out into covering the rest as well. It wasn't just a case of land ownership though. It also tended to cover mating rituals and such, the females of one group would be coveted by those of another and then conflict arose from that. But Penny didn't really cause much conflict over stuff like that. There had been a time when he thought that maybe. He looked up and crossed his leg letting out a haphazard sigh. A time when he could have perhaps. Settled down with the boss lady, could have been in love with her. But ultimately that wasn't to be. He'd known from the start that wasn't happening because, A) She was semi obssessed with him. And B) He never tended to be one of those lasting things. He was a transient ghost. Floating in and out of peoples lives and history. Never making much of a recorded impact on anything.

A leaf upon the water. There, lying on the surface. But not in it.

But no doubt there was going to be conflict with Wisemna there always tended to be among humans and his madness. They didnt much like the idea of freedom despite professing to protect it so whole heartedly. Madness was the one true fredom and it was the one he had to place in a short sense of chains when he ever took on that personality. It was annoying. He moved his eyes back down. Back to the book. Back to reeduction.

Getting over conflict was easier than this book was painting out. Honestly Penny didn't much like the mask of Wiseman but ultimately it had been neccisary for him to function among human society without the threat of random attacks from spirit hunters like division 12. THey had never noticed him though. Whether that was because he hadn't been in the boss ladies employ for that long he didn't quite know. Gera Sey had taught him the reality of things.

How he had to embrace his more primal side in order to survive certain situations. There had of course been two sides to him fighting for control. The ultimately mad freedom, forcing itself against the chains of what Pennywise would call devotion. Admiration. Duty. A hell hound, a rabid one bound by something like that seemed almost wrong. To bind a creature of primal power. But that was the way it had to be if he was going to serve her. But would he really want to learn to be Wiseman again? The answer was simple to him. No. He didn't really want to learn to be a human again. But there wasn't a choice in the matter, he was bound as he was. Part of him at that point secretly wished that Shiori would stay lost. But he chatised that portion immedietly afterwards. Dismissing the thought. Back to reading. Back to learning how to be human.
