When the word " decimation" is brought up in conversation. Its never a going towards the route of being a pleasant conversation. However most people assume that when its brought up it means that there has been some horrible disaster or murderous killing that has wiped out an entire place or group of people. But this is not true. Decimation is actually a rather useful tool for bringing a group in line. The word decimate, means to literally kill by the decimal factor of a number. If the factor is ten. Then you kill one in every ten people. Normally with widescale populations killing one in every ten out of say 60,000 people is still a relatively large number of deaths. Enough to line the streets. Enough to stain the roads For Jack. He was planning on using this tool to bring his demonic kin into line as far as territorial gains go. To the groups in front of him. He split them into groups of ten, and then handed each group of ten a large rock. Each group was then instructed to among themselves choose on eof their number. And bash his head in with the rock till they died. Suffice to say though, this tactic wasn't as effective on demons as it was on humans. Although it did take them longer to decide. Not to decide out of guilt and restrain about just which one of them was more useless. But rather because out of most of the groups they wanted to kill each other anyways. So, each group decided which ones they were going to kill. Jack instructed each group to have its one kill member step out. Each one did so fearfully. And just when they were expecting Jack to give the order to go ahead and bash their brains in. Jack began his magics. And killed the remaining nine in every group. It was a true slaughter. The only ones remaining. The ones who had been chosen for death under the normal rules. It was, confusing. Even the demons of fear and sloth didn't get what was going on. And Jack, charismatic as ever. Simply stepped out and pointed out that, now each of the demons who lived. now owed him their existance. And if they wanted to keep that. They would follow him. True. Less numbers. But. Increases loyalty. Increased fear of and over all less ocmpetition. It was for the most part a success, most of the survviors bowed to him, fear clear in their eyes. Some however were slightly more resistant to his plan.
