Things were going quite wonderful now, due to the assistance of a unique individual, Castiel and Vera made it to the village of the Moon. Awaiting for them was Athena who had went up ahead of them to secure the living situation. She was an individual that was quite popular, and had good way with words. It was because of her that the people of the village would welcome them without hostility and even provide Housing and work for them. That was wonderful to the group since they really didnt have anywhere to live until now. They got here a little faster than she thought they would, though that was because of a red figure. A Day had passed since making it there, and the group was already working hard. The Morning came and all three of them could be seen outside of a ranch working hard in the fields. There weren't too many animals on the ranch as of yet, but there was a shit ton of crops that needed tending to while the ranch flourished. It was up to this group to manage that for as long as they could. Castiel was to havest any that were ready, while watering the ones that weren't. Vera and Athena just had to do watering. Throughout this day of working, he had only found less than 15 crops that were ready.

After picking those crops and finishing the watering for the said day, Castiel, Athena and Vera would make their way back to the home of the person they were working for and at the same time living at. It was a two floor home with 3 bed rooms. Castiel slept in one by himself while Vera and Athena slept in the other together. The owner of the home had the third room, and was quite an odd individuall. He needed to hire some helping hands, so with Castiel, Athena and Vera coming along it was a blessing. He was getting quite old with the passage of time, and eventually he wouldn't be able to do much work. He also was trying to determine a few things that would actually affect Castiel's life if things went the way he planned. For now everyone was sleep, getting rest for the next day to come. A Few hours passed, indicated by the passage of the moon over the night skies. When dawn broke, Castiel woke up first, heading to the bathroom and cleaned himself up quickly. After doing so he made his way to the room Vera and Athena was sleeping in together and woke them up quite quickly." Alright, time to get to work ladies ". Castiel said as they all got ready and repeated the very same process they did before, watering and then harvesting what ever was ready to be harvested.

The next day came, and eventually it appeared to be quite repetative. This day though was possibly different since both Vera and Athena was helping him with harvest, putting more work on them. This was done on their own will, both females actually offering to assist Castiel with the other chores instead of leaving him with everything else while they simply water the many many crops. They didnt spread out too much, but Athena was out of hearing distance, as opposed to Vera who was next to Castiel." So tell me Cas because Im curious. Why did you bring Athena along with us. The more isn't the Merrier in this case, also throwing in the fact that she's ill in a nature that could hinder u along the way ". Castiel turned to Vera when she stated this and simply closed his eyes." I allowed it because I couldn't deny her ". He continued harvesting the crops, not intending to go deeper than that. ( I couldn't deny her because I dont deny people in need of help. Im going to save her no matter what ). Castiel thought to himself before reopening his eyes and then turning to Vera.

The day didnt end, requiring them to work a little overtime, but the pay would be more than usual so the three of them didn't mind doing the extra work. It was actually fun too since it was the three of them working together. Vera didnt accept the answer that Castiel gave as to why Athena was with them, why he had allowed it. Castiel could read this over her face, and knowing that she wouldn't accept it, he thought of something else to say that would further assist in his words. He didnt want to tell her a lie, but he didnt want to tell her the real reason, so he had to think of something else which was true even if it wasn't the main reason. It had to be something that would give the feel of something important or what would be considered the main reason if told the right way." I couldn't deny her because I too know the feeling of wanting to go out and adventure the world, see things I've never seen even at the risk of danger. You only live life once...and also I don't mind it. I can't remember much about my past, but I know that I enjoyed being around others that gave the family feel... so it's helping me fill something as well ". Castiel said holding the watering can over some of the crops while Vera did the same. Athena was working on her crops, and as she did she moved more and more towards the direction of both Castiel and Vera.

When Athena closed in on them, the voice of castiel decreased slightly more than what it was before, which originally was low so it was as if he was going silent all together. Vera turned her head and directed her attention towards Athena who was over her to check and see how both of them was doing. From what it appeared Athena still had quite a bit of energy in her, which was shocking for a fragile figure who has been working non stop out on the fields and not taking a break with conversation like both Castiel and Vera was doing." I don't know why, but working like this...together feels just great ". It was something Castiel liked to hear from Athena, though to other people it may not have bared any significance what so ever. He felt relieved knowing that she was doing alright and that she was actually enjoying herself. She worried Castiel at times, and he wondered while traveling if she was going to have a feint spell. This hadn't been the case though, which pleased him more than he led on. There was only a smirk on his face as he viewed the gentle smile on her face. There was something quite different today about her, something that brought a form of relief and happiness to him just for being in her presence. This was one of the main reasons why he allowed her to come along, something that he thought he could have told Vera, but then at the same time she may take it in a wrong way.

It wasn't like Castiel was gaining intimate feelings for her, but the idea of feeling so great around her just made traveling with her awesomke as well. He kept it to himself, though he wasnt 100% aware on the depths of this. He knew simply that he liked having her there. Vera he also liked having her there, but there was a different connection between him and Vera than between him and Athena. There was no intimate relation there, or any relationship period but he felt like the guardian of a little sister with her, as opposed with Athena who he felt like the guardian of a very very close friend. Looking at Athena, he could just feel drive to push himself even more even while working as a farmer. Castiel would continue working with his attention down at the crops now, but his mind on how sweet things seem to be right now. Settling down would be a great thing for them to do now, but for multiple reasons wasn't an option at the moment. A while after working, the owner of the ranch would come out to check how things were going. He wanted to see if everything was going good and if the workers needed something to refresh themselves with. Castiel denied the need for any refreshments, though Vera and Athena accepted the food and drinks to refresh themselves, not having as much Stamina as Castiel.

The day was coming to an end, and the team had finally finished the extended work day with all of them still in good condition. Castiel dropped his tools and so did Vera and Athena, stretching out with relief brought to them. Vera turned her attention to the home, ready to head inside so they could get some rest for the next day. Athena looked to Castiel first, at the same time that Castiel looked to her. There was a smirk on both of their faces before they turned their attention to the same place that Vera was looking at." Soon you ladies are going to be as strong as I am if ya keep it up ". Athena laughed slightly upon hearing Castiel and shook her head." I think I can do with the strength, but just can't picture myself masculine ". Vera nodded in agreement. The three of them would head back together, as it was time to clock out. The work day had been a tad bit much, but the pay was definitely worth it. They would perform the process that they did every night before sleep, and repeat the same morning process when the day came. Castiel was actually ahead of them this time, already done with 1/10th of the work by time that they had woken up. When Athena became aware of this, she rushed her way down after cleaning up and raced outside to assist Castiel. Vera became aware afterwards, though did not make much of an effort to hurry and get out to work.

Even with 1/10 of the work done extremely early, the team was in for a day of hard work yet. There were more things to handle today unlike the other days, and there would be one surprise that none of the three would be ready for. One of the jobs today was to feed the animals in the barn, and at the moment that was one of the hard jobs. Of course Castiel would head to handle that himself rather than have Vera and Athena risk themselves around Animals who are supposed to be decent. There was a chance that one could go wild in which that would result into something very negative. Vera eventually made her way out to assist them, and upon getting what they were supposed to do, she face palmed herself. She didnt like Animals, but there was more to do than just feed the Animals. Athena was working with the crops, and she didnt see Castiel so she assumed that Castiel had went inside to begin work on the animals. Castiel was in there, in which she found out upon entering herself. He had just started with the feeding of the animals, having completed the first job he was on when he first began this morning.

Looking at Castiel working with the Animals was a great sight to behold. Castiel lifted his head slightly when he took notice of Vera entering the barn. A smirk appeared on his face while he paused from feeding the animals." So you finally decided to wake up ". Vera shook her head before moving near Castiel." No don't make it seem like I overslept or something. I woke up around the same time I did for the past few days now. It's all you buddy. You woke up way too early and got on the work before we did ". Castiel laughed slightly before he began to put more food into the first animal's pin." I don't know. I felt real good as of the past few days, and working again on something that didnt deal with guarding was a refresher ". Vera tried to make sense of that reply, as she thought that he loved performing duties as a guard." I thought you liked doing that ? " Castiel shook his head slightly." I love knowing that you and Athena are safe. I dont love the job itself...always watching out for danger and all that other stuff ". He continued on until he fed all of the animals in there. Vera didnt know Castiel felt this way about his occupation.

The Next Job was to wash the animals, or in other terms...clean them off and their pins. This wasn't the hardest of the jobs but was by far the most repulsive aspect to it. They were getting paid for this so there was no way around it. Vera looked at the job with so much dislike at the moment due to the fact that she had to get her hands dirty in that manner. Castiel could see it on Vera's face and he almost laughed at her expression." Don't worry, I'll handle cleaning the pins and scrubbing the animals. You just handle getting them all wet and ready for me to scrub down. Vera looked to Castiel with a bright smile as she then jumped and gave him a thumbs up in a comedic fashion." OKAY! " She yelled with excitement for working since she didnt have to touch crap. Castiel releashed a slight chuckle due to her response, and with that Vera went about getting the animals wet while Castiel went about cleaning the pins for the Animals, first removing all the poop that may have been in there, and then adding more hay to cover the floors, making little sleeping areas for some of the animals that didnt eat hay.

It took some time, but Castiel was about half way done with doing the pins of the animals while Vera was preping them to get cleaned. She had a little hose which was located near the horse stalls. The work was far from done, but the worst of it was being handled by both Castiel and Vera now. She motioned the hose towards the first animal and aimed it towards it's body. While cleaning the pin of one of the pigs, Castiel took notice of this and his eye's widened." Vera No! " He yelled to stop her quickly. She didn't turn anything on yet so she dropped the hose quickly as if something bad had happened." Wait what! what happened !? " She asked in a kind of freaked out manner. Castiel shook his head as he brought himself up abit." You're too far away, this let me know that you intended to hose it down with full force which would harm the Animal. Bringing it closer to them, over them and then turn it on slightly in order to just douse them a little. We dont want to harm or spook the animals. It'll be trouble for us and even more for the owner ". Castiel explained picking the hose up and putting it in her hand.morning.

Vera sighed in relief as if Castiel had just saved her life, though seconds after it she put on an expression that displayed that she was quite angry with him. One could see it as a pouting expression with her cheeks out like some kind of puffer fish." God Castiel you made it seemed like I was doing something life threatening ". Castiel looked over to her and rubbed the back of his head slightly. " Well to be honest it is kind of life threatening. If you would have aggrivated one of these bigger animals, it wouldn't have looked good for you. I wouldn't have let anything happen to you of course but in any other case they would bash you and trample all over you without any form of hesitation ". Just hearing that caused vera to gain an pale appearance, not really knowing the dangers of the situation that she almost started. Shaking that off, Vera made her way over to the animals, starting with the big ones like the horses so she could get them out of the way. Turning the hose on slightly, she allowed the water to travel slowly from the hose and onto the animal in a manner where it really didnt spook it, though it did motion around a little.

Castiel watched Vera to make sure she was doing it right and if the Animals showed any signs of reacting badly. Everything was going smooth since there was no negative signs, causing the guardian to sigh in relief. " Hey, maybe if you do this great, I'll get you a horse of your own for your birthday ". Castiel couldn't help but joke with Vera a little after avoiding what could have been a very bad situationj for the both of them. She looked to Castiel and narrowed her eyes a little." Is that some kind of joke or something ? because if it was then I have to say that you're pretty bad at that and probably shouldn't make another joke for the rest of your life ". Castiel caught this and laughed slightly." Now you're the funny one ". He finished fixing up the pins of the animals and turned his direction to the materials near one of the pins. This stuff was needed to clean the animals, so Castiel walked over and picked them up. All of it was in a bucket so it wasnt like he needed to grab a bunch of things at once. His attention turned to the first animal he fed and the first animal Vera doused down.

Castiel put the bucket down and began taking out some of the objects out of the bucket like the brush, and another item used to scrub the animals down once the soap or chemicals have been applied. With these things out on the side, Castiel began mixing some of the objects together to form the substance that would coat over the animal before the scrub down. Vera was done with the wetting of the animals so she placed the holes down and turned her attention over to Castiel. Things were silent for a little moment, which was okay as she just wanted to watch him clean the animals now. He did it with no fear of being attacked by any of them, but why would he with the body he possessed. She was confident that if it came down to it, he would be able to take down any of them with close to no problem. Castiel finished mixing the chemicals and diped the tool similar to the brush in it and then began scrubbing down the animals. It wasn't done with haste because he intended to make sure they were clean above anything else, so he scrubbed every single non-sensitive area.

Eventually Castiel was finished with scrubbing the animals, a job that did not create a hassle at all. He honestly thought that he would receive some negative reactions from some of the animals, though it would appear that he didnt which was a plus in his book. 30% of the work was done, for that day, which was still alot in the eyes of both Castiel and Vera. Vera looked back down to the hose once Castiel had finished his part and she picked it back up. It was her job now to rinse off the chemicals on the animals, which seemed simple enough. it was really just a repeat of what she did moments ago with getthing them wet. Vera didnt have much of a problem with that, positioning the hose above the animals in a similar mannner as before, and turning it on slightly to allow the water to travel down easily unto the chemical coated areas, which would cause the suds produced by scrubbing the chemicals to travel down the body and onto the ground. Vera did this to all the animals until none of them had any remnants of the chemicals left on them. With that job completed, next would be the dry off.

There wasn't much electricity in the area so there was no process of quick drying them. The only other thing that could be done was to use some sort of towel in order to dry them off. The things that were around really couldn't be used as a towel, so Castiel would send Vera off to the house to get something. A few minutes passed, meanwhile Athena was finishing harvesting some of the crops that had been ready since last night, or early this morning. There wasn't much to say with no one there in the barn so Castiel just sat there waiting. Sometime people got the idea to talk to the animals during moments like that, but Castiel was not so desperate for a form of conversation that he would have to talk to an Animal. He actually prefered silence 'At times'. A few more minutes passed and the individual known as Vera made her way into the barn with a few towels, each to be used on each set of animals, that way some animals wont get stuff on different types of animals on them. Castiel came to this conclusion immediately and displayed how he felt with a smirk on his face.

He reached for one of the towels, which he used to begin drying off the pigs. Being pigs, it would be soon that they would get dirty again, which kind of felt like that it was not worth even cleaning the pig. Again it was for the job, so it didnt matter too much on what they thought. He continued onwards until the pigs were clean, in which his attention would turn towards the next set of animals which was the horses. Put the towel with the pigs dirt on it down on the ground before picking up an entirely new towel. Castiel threw it over his shoulder and made his way over to the first horse; he made sure that he didnt get directly behind the horse because of the fear of being kicked by it. Even being a big figure like himself, he would feel the pain of it if he was hit directly, though the damage may not have been much. To avoid this all together, he cleaned them from the side and continued on in the same way to the other horses. Some time would pass before he finished all of them because all of them were full grown adults, so it wasn't a quick wipe down process. He finished the job with the horses, still having quite a few other things to do.

The things dealing with the animals were done, and now was just a matter of handling the field work. Castiel of course was still ready to go with his stamina still at the top. Vera was still capable of going if it was really needed, though there was still a little exhaust to her. He didn't take notice of it as he didnt expect her to be slightly tired from doing such minor jobs. It wasn't like she had to scrub and clean the animals as well as clean their pins; she just had to put the hose over them and wet them twice." Alright, lets get going to the other jobs Vera". Though he was thinking something else as he spoke. ( I wonder how Athena's holding up. She have a lot on her hands from this ". He directed his attention over to the barn doors as he made his way towards them, opening them slightly to reveal what was going on outside. He wanted to check up on Athena to make sure she was okay, making sure that she had not fainted from the work or from the ailment that plagued her up until now. Vera turned around, remember something that she had forgotten to do which was also with the list of things to do. There was a container for water in each of the pins, all of which she would fill up.

That little job was done, and by time Vera turned around Castiel was gone, outside of the barn and making his way over to Athena who seemed to appear like nothing was wrong. As he drew closer to her, he began to realize the expanding of her chest with each breath taken, which caused him to come to the conclusion that she was quite tired and was pushing herself. Castiel didnt want this to go any further, though he didnt want to make it seem like he was being over protective of her, so Castiel had to handle this in a delicate manner." Hey Athena, You're working hard thats for sure ". Athena turned her attention towards him and then nodded slightly with a soft smile on her face." yea, gotta make that money ". Castiel nodded in agreement with her as Athena finished her job on the crops." How about we take a little break ? Im a little tired and need to rest, those animals are not easy to clean I tell you ". Seeing as he was asking her to take a break with him, she really couldn't find it in her to refuse so she went on said break.

Both him and Athena made their way over to a little bench located near the house, though not exactly near the front of the house. It was in the side of the house, and next to it was a little pipe that a hose could connect to to utilize water. Just turning the nob would cause the water to flow from it and straight to the ground." You know, things have been going great since we all encountered each other ". He couldn't help but say what he was feeling at the moment, though exhausted he was happy. ( She hadn't shown signs of progression which is a goof thing. She haven't fainted or displayed pain in awhile...still we can't sit here in this place for long. Eventually we're going to have to get moving ) Castiel couldn't push away reality, no matter how things was going good for them at the moment. Athena nodded in agreement to what he said about things going good since the encounter. There was a slightly awkward silence amongst the two while they sat there together. It was strange silence and yet comfortable to both parties at the same time.

Athena would finally break the silence with something that she had wanted to ask for some time now but wasn't sure if Castiel would do it." Castiel, do you think that one of these days you can teach me how to fight ? Like fend for myself instead of always having to rely on someone else to protect me ? " She wasn't sure what Castiel was going to say but she still had to try. Castiel protected her, which only adds on to the feel of wanting to repay him which, in which if it continued she would have that feeling forever. If she had the ability to assist Casyiel or even protect him then she would feel great about herself. It was one of the reasons why she had been working so hard outside like she has, pushing herself beyond her normal limitations. Castiel looked to her and gave her a thumbs up." Im not that great of a teacher but I'll give it a try...only if you're really up for it ". Vera then appeared from around the corner and pointed to Castiel." Lets go, we still have quite a bit of work to do you know ". and with that Castiel and Athena would get up from their position and make their way over to the fields where they would plant seeds. they continued this throughout the entire field where there were empty places from recent harvests.

It took awhile, but eventually the trio got the job done, having completed 50% of the work if not a little more. They seemed to be working quite hard with different thing driving each individual to better themselves. Castiel main goal was to be able to protect Vera and Athena. In order to do this he needed to be in good shape as well as bring in a form of income into the wallets. This wasn't going to just happen, and as for Athena it was quite obvious, She wanted to show that even with her illness, she could still be of use as well as get stronger. She needed to pay Castiel back for all that he done. Vera case was similar to that of Athena's though she felt a personal attachment that could be linked to that of her past relationship with Raim. With these few things driving them, the party kept working and working without rest. The hours passed by as they had to do another job, pulling up weeds within the area of the harvested fields as well as areas around them. This of course would be handled by Castiel as he began to pull the weeds without waiting too much for the others to bring a bag or something to place them in.

They went around the area outside of where most of the crops was harvested, and as they did Castiel pulled the weeds quickly and placed them in a cart that both Vera and Athena was pushing. It was obvious that the weeds wouldn't fit in the bags considering the ammount that they had to pick and the idea of them carrying multiple bags was just out of the question. Just have most of the bags in the cart which would be pushed by both females, that way there wouldn't be any issues with taking them out. Castiel started to develope a little sweat from the process, but not as much as Vera and Athena. He didn't notice it for awhile until after he placed some weeds into the bag. His eyes shot towards the forced smiles on their faces and yet seeing all the sweat they had developed, he knew that the load was beginning to get heavy." How about you two ladies pick the weeds and I push the cart. I can push with enough energy so that we'll maintain the same speed and not slow down, and with 4 hands picking instead of two we can get it done faster".

Athena and Vera turned their attention to him, and knew that he thought that they were getting really tired. Truth was they were tired, and what he suggested was actually a better idea. Things would go faster and they'll be able to get around to all the other jobs before completely exhausting themselves. Athena started to see what Castiel was doing now, what he had been doing for some time now. He would suggest something that didnt appear like he was making things easy for them so they wouldn't really question it too much. He basically mixed the best sollution of something with the idea of making the work load easy on them, and even though she was against that a little, she nodded her head letting go of the cart. There was no arguing with that, though she wasnt sure if Vera had processed that at this point of if she only saw what Castiel was letting them see. Both would move over to the front while Castiel moved behind the cart and just like that their roles had switched. Castiel was the one who was moving the cart while Vera and Athena picked the weeds. Eventually they finished the outside area and moved their way to the inner area.

Working like this got most of the weeds out really fast and Athena and Vera was able to regain some of their stamina working like this. It was interesting to Vera that Castiel took such an interest in both of them like that, not wanting them to overwork themselves and stuff like that. A part of her wanted her to think that it was the natural thing of being the male defender, and then a part of her really wanted to believe something much more to the situation. The group continued working at the same rate, and eventually got rid of all the weeds in the area. The two just watched Castiel until they came to a complete stop." Done with that...Now I'll take the cart and placed it where it needs to be placed. You two get some rest while Im gone alright ? " And with that Castiel would begin moving the cart to a different location, and meanwhile Athena and Vera stood by each other with an odd silence amongst the two. One wasn't sure what to say or what kind of Convo they should bring up to pass the time while Castiel is gone.

Vera gathered the strength within her to face Athena, her face lacking energy but somewhat sadden. This was due to the idea that this person who she wasn't too much of a big fan of was in love with Castiel, or at least she believed Athena was. Tapping her shoulder, Vera would cause Athena to turn around to face her wondering what was up. Vera wanted to ask Athena if she loved Castiel, but with her turning around the strength she once had moments ago had vanished in a mere instant. Thinking of something else to replace it with, Vera would rub the back of her head." Hey! while Castiel is out, let's go finished the other things so when Castiel come back he wont have much to do ". Athena took in those words and nodded quickly, agreeing with that idea. On the list There was cleaning the porch, which seemed really more like a personal chore than something directly dealing with the farm. Despite this, it was still on the list of things to do, and would be included in their pay so they didnt have much of a problem with it, heading to the house, grabing a broom and with that the two began cleaning the porch. Castiel had dumped out the weeds where they were supposed to be disposed of and began heading back.
