The night of the formal dance, and escorting Raiki would be the out of place elegance of Akasha. This was another trip into the past life of The Demon Akasha. She stood there before a mirror, wondering why in the hell she was wearing what she was wearing. It was a white dress going all the way down to the ground, one of her shoulders seemed to be bear while the other was covered by the dress. She wore white long gloves which went from her hands to her elbows, and her hair was done in a unique elegant manner. This definitely wasn't her as she would have preferred her normal attire, black nail polish and having a bad ass look. It was a good thing that Phaedra wasn't there because then Akasha would probably never hear the end of it. " You look beautiful ". Upon hearing that, Akasha would turn her attention in the direction that the words came from. Her head would turn before her eyes shutting closed." Yea whatever ". Despite her words of dismissal, there was a feint red coloration across her face, though her pride would never allow her to admit that she liked his complement, yet alone thank him for it.

Akasha was normally a hottie, but on this night...this very special night Akasha was a Beauty. That was something that was going through Raiki's mind. He would hold his hand out to her, palm up as if he was asking for her hand. Akasha was completely new to all this, so when he did that She gave him a very odd look with an arch of her narrow brows." What ? " She asked, wondering what could it be that he was asking for. Raiki would laugh slightly as he would reply." Your hand Akasha ". It was at that moment that she realized what was supposed to happen, and because of just realizing it now, she felt very embarrassed from it." Oh...". Her face now turned into a cherry from the embarrassment, and such a sight would cause Raiki to chuckle. Akasha would slowly bring her hand up and then place it on his open palm." Relax Akasha. I know you're not used to stuff like this but trust me you're going to enjoy yourself and nothing will go wrong...I promise you ". She looked at him for a moment and somehow she felt like she could believe him, and so Akasha would do exactly that...believe Raiki.

Akasha would give a slight nod to show that she trusted in him and his word. With this in mind, she figured all that could happen now was her having fun and actually enjoying the night. Akasha could hear the noises coming from downstairs, music going on, violinists playing and other type of instruments to give off a nice ball feel." Im ready ". With those words spoken by Akasha, Raiki would nod with confidence, a look that would be shown by individuals who possessed emotional drive." Oh! one more thing ". He said moving towards the back and pulling out a small box. Within the box upon it being opened was a white flower which had a special glow to it. He didn't allow Akasha to see it, so he would have it behind him as he moved over towards her. When he stopped infront of her, he would bring it from behind but more to Akasha side before bringing it up. Raiki would plant the special flower in her hair, and then would back away. Akasha looked over to the mirror and saw the flower, and right there something within her felt off. It was so beautiful that she couldn't help but smile slightly.

" I know how you're not too comfortable with this stuff, but I have to say... you look really beautiful Akasha ". Raiki's words struck her a little. She would hear those words from males over and over again. Back in the beginning, even being an Oni, when she heard those words...it hit her in a place that produced a wonderful feeling. Eventually she heard it more and more and the words lost meaning, that was at least until today. When Raiki said those words, having possess a genuine feel to them, Akasha couldn't help but feel the way that she felt all so long ago. It was extremely strange though, but she found herself attracted to Raiki in a manner that a long friends who were destined to be lovers would." Shall we ? " Akasha asked as she brought her arm out in a manner that Raiki did when they first met, a manner that she once thought was Dorky. Raiki looked at her arm as if he was looking at the gesture itself before looking up towards Akasha with what appeared to be a soft smile on his face. His arms would mix with hers and the two would exit the room, making their way through the corridors.

While walking through the Corridors, slowly and in an sophisticated manner, Akasha thought for a second how she may look in the eyes of others while walking with Raiki with her arms around his. Yes it was formal for the event that they were attending downstairs, but then she had to look at it in a way that wasn't exactly so formal. The eyes of her slightly widened at the thought that was produced before her in which would cause her eyes to shift over to Raiki in an instant, looking at him without him noticing. Her face turned slightly red at the thought but then she shook it off as the awkwardness of it was just too much for her, and couldn't bare to think how others may react if they treated them in the manner that she pictured in her head. They would make it to the stairs as she would then look straight ahead as if preparing herself for what was down stairs. She knew that people in this village held aesthetics highly, and though normally she would tell someone like that to go fuck themselves if they thought otherwise, she wanted to do this good for Raiki.

They would travel down, and as they did, a massive amount of people would come into their view. Akasha almost panic for a second, but before she could, she would think about this being a Bar, and just like in a bar she would pull all of the attention. With making the comparison, Akasha would get the feeling that this was her thing, and so the anxiety that was building up at one point would be gone almost instantly. She knew one thing though, that she couldn't behave in the same manner that she did in a bar. There was a gentle smile on her face as they made it to the floor with everyone. Everyone there was dressed for the occasion, almost as if it was a formal ball. The feel of sophistication covered the room and though it didn't suffocate Akasha as much as she thought it would, she did feel off. The peoples smiles were welcoming though, much better than the lustrous looks that her and her sister would get upon entering a bar. The Oni's eyes would close for a moment before they reopened for Raiki's greeting.

It was those words that caused Akasha to arch a brow, not having known before what this ball was for. What Oni wouldn't get an awkward feeling attending a ball in which was for purging and killing their own kind. Akasha actually didn't care about the idea of her kind being purged, for it was only her and her sister that she cared about. She was smack down in the middle of this ball, so she couldn't really show in any way that she was an Onikonjou. Her awkward expression would straighten out as she continued to listen to Raiki." For so long, our world has had to deal with the horrible chaos brought about by these demons. Demons are soulless beings who care about nothing but themselves. They've killed many people that we love and hold dear to us, and because of that, we shall never open ourselves to those wretched things ".

Akasha couldn't help but feel like Raiki had just slashed at her heart without knowing it. From the way he was speaking, it was like he was including her in that and it was bothersome because she didn't know how he would react to knowing what she really was. The time spent together was actually special to her, which was a rare thing because her making an emotional connection with someone was rare. Still she held onto Raiki like nothing was wrong. She wanted to know if he found out that she was an Oni, what would he do. Would he make an attempt to kill her or accept her as she was.' Raiki...are you serious ? I wonder...would you still be you if you found out what I am. Why...why am I even thinking about this ? I shouldn't care what he thinks...but I do. Oh...my...god...I care what he thinks! I think I have feelings for Raiki ' Akasha thought to herself while holding onto him. Akasha would look to the people as they really seemed to be pulled into his words. It would be this night that Akasha would come to realize that she was in a village that detested Demons...and though that shouldn't be something new as a lot of the world did, she still felt bothered by the thought.

Raiki looked to everyone while holding his hand up. This of course was a signal for everyone to be quiet." We will continue with out effort to expunge demons from this world, and one of these days we shall cleanse it ". Everyone cheered, as well as Akasha. She didn't really want to stick out, and with that everyone would continue what they were doing...mingling. Akasha and Raiki would make their way towards the middle of the room, and as they did Akasha couldn't help but feel odd. She kind of mind fucked herself with the realization that she may have feelings for Raiki, genuine feelings to someone who basically hated what she was with a passion. Akasha would think for a moment before holding her head slightly." Excuse me Raiki, I need some air ". She said as she would break from him and make her way outside. This just wasn't fair for her, someone who didn't just see her as a nice piece of meet was someone that could possibly view her as a monster. This was something that angered her, and due to suppressing that anger, Akasha felt a little weakened. She would take a step out of the home and paused a few feet away from the huge door.

Akasha would breath, attempting to regain her composure, and soon Raiki would come following her outside. When she heard the steps, she would slowly turn to Raiki, her eyes lowered down slightly at the thought." Akasha! what's wrong? ". He would come to stop right in front of her and bring his hand to hold hers. For a moment she allowed it to be before she pulled away and shook her head." Akasha...please tell me what's wrong ? ". She would attempt to hold it in but then would unleash it in his face." Everything is wrong! that's whats wrong! ". Raiki couldn't understand but remained silent as he was sure she was going to elaborate on that." I...I like you more than I should ". Raiki's eyes widened, somewhat unsure of how he was feeling at the moment. To hear that Akasha like him more made his heart race a bit." What's wrong with that ". Akasha would back away, shaking her head." I won't be able to keep my promise...being something that you want to kill ". Raiki had not pieced it together yet despite her words. Before anything else could be said, that female with the blue hair would appear a little distance behind Raiki.

Raiki still couldn't understand." what ? " The female with the blue hair would then speak in what appeared to be a serious tone, even though her face was well composed." She's trying to tell you that She's a demon...She's an Onikonjou ". Raiki would look back to the female, somewhat shocked at her words, and then looked to Akasha would a look of denial." That can't be true...can it ? ". He asked her, trying to force himself to smile as if everything was okay when in truth it wasn't. Akasha took a step back which would give him a confirmation that she was what the woman with blue hair spoke of. Raiki closed his eyes tight and clenched his fist, and at that moment Akasha could see, or at least she thought she saw rage and disgust, and before Raiki could say anything, Akasha would run off with her fist clenched tightly. Raiki reopened his eyes upon seeing her run and held his hand out in the direction that she ran in." AKASHA!!! ". and with that, she was gone, making her way through the village and to the exit.

There was anger and sadness within Akasha, both interacting with each other and creating an unstable compound within her heart. She fought to keep tears from her eyes. She had been taking care of Raiki for some time, and he turns out to be someone that she cares for and someone that hated what she was. This wasn't fair. It was almost as if mystical forces was jerking her around. She had begun to wish that Phaedra was there with her right about now. Her attention would be at the ground as she made her way further from the place. Right when she was heading away, the thugs before, the ones that was at the underground fights would be heading towards the village. They had a bone to pick with the people of this place, more particularly Raiki and Akasha. Not to their knowledge Akasha was no longer there. Akasha continued on, moving to the place where her and Raiki first encountered each other, the tree where she was when she was injured and Raiki came to her. That tree caused some kind of relief as she leaned against it with her head down.
