The small village was nestled among the trees of the forest and a good distance away from most other villages. This was the perfect setting for the evilness to soon come. For recently the new leader of the village had taken over and positioned everything to just his liking. He was not a very nice fellow. In fact in his two months of reign, he had already starting changing the laws of the village. It was ran almost like a prison where most of the villagers were not allowed to leave. His bandits had effectively sealed them off by building a wooden wall including a gate manned by themselves around the tiny village. His name was Wingard and he was the King of Bandits or so he claimed when he had killed the old leader and taken over.
Lately he had begun to take the young virgins of the village for his own appetites and lusts. When he was done with them, he sent them back to their loved ones with not much of a memory from the time they had spent with him, although some had come back with swollen bellies. The older men and women of the village had begun to go missing and the small shrine in the center of the village had been sealed shut. Wingard had even had a few of the younger men strung out by their intestines to make everyone understand that his word was law and anyone opposing him would suffer that fate. For two months whispers went around about a revolt, but they were in the dark of underground cellars. But the oppression could not be withstood for long....
The night was bright and the moon was full as Lia knocked on Hunter's door. It was quiet as she knocked a second time. She was carrying a basket of clothing that had been freshly washed and dried that day. Lia always did this for him, with her mother's help of course. She wore her mother's hooded blue robe to cover her face so the guards and bandits wouldn't accost her while she went to Hunter's home. She even walked like an older woman. This young girl was just itching to see her best friend in the whole world.

Sitting next to the fire Hunter picked up the piece of bread from the plate resting next to him and took a bite before he set it back onto the plate and begins to chew the bread up as he picks up another arrow and begins to shift his gaze over it, inspecting it to make sure he had crafted it right. After inspecting the arrow to make sure it was built right, Hunter sets it aside before he reaches over for the next arrow. Taking hold of the next arrow, Hunter picks it up and begins to inspect it as he swallows the bit of bread he had in his mouth. As he shifts his gaze over the arrow he hears a knock from from the door which cause him to pause for a brief moment as he glances towards the door. For a brief moment he wondered who could be at the door but then he rememberd Lia was to be coming back tonight with his clean cloths. As the second knock came from the door Hunter set the arrow down and slowly raises from the floor with a soft groan. " I'm coming.. " He murmurs lightly as he begins to move from the fire place and makes his way over to the door. Making his way to the door he comes to a stop and reaches out, taking hold of the handle before he pulls it open and gazes out at the hooded Lia, a soft smile taking form on his visage as he looks out at her, " May I help you? " He asks as he looks at Lia.
