The Hunter's Life

Shifting his gaze, Hunter scans the forest in front of him as he searches for signs of the deer he had been tracking thorugh the forest. " Where are you. " Hunter thought to himself as he slowly shifts his gaze. As he shifts his gaze Hunter spots a broken twig and begins to move, slowly creeping from where he knelt and moves over to the broken twig on the ground. Moving closer to the broken twig, Hunter notices the deer tracks that he had neglected to see before. As he spots the tracks Hunter signs inwardly at his lack of skill with tracking wild game and other things. Though at the moment he knew he couldn't let such a thing get to him since he had a deer to hunt. Gazing down at the track, Hunter reaches out and touches it for a brief moment, slowly shifting his fingers along the track before he picks up the broken twig and shifts his gaze over it for a moment longer before his attention is caught by the sound of something moving not far ahead of him. Dropping the broken twig Hunter lifts his gaze and as he does so he catches sight of the same deer he had been tracking as it bolts through the forest ahead of him. " Now I have you. " Hunter murmurs softly as he begins to move forwards, following after the deer as he pulls an arrow from his quiver. Taking the arrow from his quiver, Hunter brings it around and knocks it on the bow string before he begins to draw it back as he draws closer to the deer. The deer had come to as top and stood with its back to the direction Hunter approaches from, its head down as it grazed. Coming upon the deer he spots the deer and brings his bow up as he draws the arrow back fully. Once he had the arrow drawn back fully, he takes a brief moment to take aim at the dear before he releases his grasp on the arrow and lets it fire at the deer. Before the deer can react the arrow strikes it in the chest, causing it to jolt forwards but it quickly falls to the ground, going limp. As the deer falls to the ground Hunter quickly moves up and places his hand upon its neck to check to make sure it is dead and once he has insured it is dead he shifts his hand and pulls the arrow from it and slips it back into his quiver, " I'm sorry my friend. I promise you're sacrifice will not be in vain. " Hunter murmurs softly to the deer even though it was dead. Taking hold of the animal he begins to pick it up as he raises from the ground and once he stood fully he glances around for a brief moment to get his bearings before he begins to move, heading back to camp.

Moving through the forest quickly, Hunter shifts to dodge a tree as he jumps to the side, his bow held in front of him with an arrow already resting on it and knocked on the string but not drawn back yet, ahead of him runs a deer that has already managed to evade two shots from the hunter's bow and now seeks to escape another shot and the hunter all together, though this was something the male wasn't going to let happen. After dodging around the tree Hunter continues to spring forwards after the deer, an animal he had already been running after for a few minutes now and he could already feel the stress it was putting upon his body. While sprinting forwards after the deer Hunter brings his bow up and begins to draw back the arrow he had knocked on the string as he takes aim at the deer running ahead of him. Lifting the bow as he drew the arrow back, Hunter takes aim at the deer before releasing his grasp upon the arrow, firing the arrow at the deer. The arrow flys through the air but due to the bad aiming and the fact that the deer and the shooter where both moving the arrow doesn't hit the part of the deer that Hunter wished however it does strike the deer in the rear which causes it to let out a cry of pain and slow's its pace. After the first shot, Hunter quickly draws another arrow from his quiver and begins to draw it back on his bow. The deer begins to slow more though it continues to flee from Hunter. With the deer still in his sight Hunter brings his bow up and takes another shot at it and again strikes it in the rear however this shot brings the deer to the ground. As the deer is struck again by another arrow from the hunter it lets forth another cry of pain and falls to the ground where it begins to struggle and kick about. Though the deer had fallen to the ground, Hunter knew not to get to close since it was still flailing about and posed a threat. Drawing closer to the downed deer he keeps a few feet between it and him as he watches the deer flail about as he brings his bow up and takes aim at the deer. Hunter took a brief moment to watch the deer as it flails around in pain before finally he releases his grip on the bow string and fires the arrow into the deer's chest. The arrow flys the short distance between the two and sinks into the deer's chest, Hunters aim true so he strikes it in the heart and causes it to go limp and stop struggling. After bringing the deer down, Hunter moves over and kneels next to it before he removes the arrows he had shot into the deer and slips them back into his quiver. After removing the arrows Hunter begins to take the deer back to camp.

Shifting his gaze slowly Hunter scans the forest below him as he kneels on a tree limb, one hand grasping the tree to keep him balanced as he searches the forest below him. Hunter shifts his gaze for a moment before he spots exactly what he is searching for. Not far from him grazing in the forest stood a wild pig rooting through the ground in search of a meal. As he spots the wild pig, Hunter brings his gaze to rest upon the animal and watches it for a moment as he pulls his hand from the tree and reaches back to his quiver before he grasps one of the arrows in his quiver and draws it free from the quiver on his waist and brings it around to his bow. Bringing the arrow around he slips it onto his bow string and begins to draw it back as he shifts a bit on the tree limb. While Hunter draws the arrow back on his bow the pig continues to rut through the ground while foraging.

Drawing the arrow back on his bow Hunter takes aim at the wild pig and waits for just a brief moment as he lines up his shot with the wild pig's chest before he releases his grasp upon the arrow and bow string. The arrow is launched from the bow and flys through the air quickly reaching its destination and embedding itself into the chest of the wild pig. The wild pig lets out a brief squeal before falling to the ground. After taking the wild pig down Hunter shifts his gaze and glances around for a brief moment before he jumps down from the tree limb and lands in a crouched stands before he raises to his feet and makes his way over to the dead wild pig. Coming up to the pig Hunter kneels down and takes hold of the arrow he had shot the pig with and pulls it from the wild pig but as he does so he finds the arrow is broken, something that causes him to let out a light sigh, " Stubborn thing.. " He murmurs lightly to himself as he slips the broken arrow into his quiver. After pulling the arrow from the wild pig Hunter shifts his gaze over it for a brief moment before he picks the thing up and begins to head back to his camp with his new catch.
