Summary
[After the combined forces met to combat the forces of darkness. The new enemy revealed himself. The Dark King of the core. However, those assembled proved to be more than the King had expected. However, the King seemed distracted, almost. Annoyed that he could not finish the battle and move on as quickly as he had wished. A strange magic washed over the battlefield. Taking man, kami and demon alike to the north western forest were they experienced a flash of light. And a vision of a weapon of great and terrible power. Before collapsing and hearing the Dark King express his desires. However not only those who were at the battle proper were effected, but anyone within the north western forest at the time. Now both groups seem to be stuck in a strange alternate version of the north western forest. It is foggy. And there is no escape.

As you would awaken, you would notice the sheeer thickness of the fog surrounding you all. The air itself had an almost unreal magical quality to it. Those with spiritual senses....may be able to pick something up. For now it was best to draw a game plan among one another, and determine where you are. And what you are to do.

?? - Battousai’s attention shifts for a moment to the child that Yuki had been speaking to earlier. There was a mental note made to ask his student if he and the child were acquaintances or if they had met here. Either way, the samurai would entertain the possibility that the appearance of the child could be a deception of some sort; there did seem to be a good amount of magical ability packed in the child’s form. Beyond that, the samurai’s attention shifts up as his attention is grabbed to possibly catch the visible outcome of Yuki’s flight.

After Yuki returns back to the ground, Battousai would give a simple, “I’m here” since as things would turn out, he would be behind Yuki given the fact that Yuki didn’t see him and he hadn’t moved from the area after Yuki had taken to the skies. The thought that the fog ascended further into the sky than Yuki could fly seemed a bit inconsistent with reality, meaning that the fog must be some type of mental bind. He would assume that there was no way of knowing if Yuki had actually went up high enough to escape it if it the fog tricked his mind into thinking that he could not move out of the fog. With that, the complexity of the situation seemed to rise, and agreeing with Yuki’s words, the situation did merit some type of escape.

With Yuki’s words finished, Battousai would speak, “it doesn’t seem possible that the fog could exist higher than you can fly. That would suggest it covered the entire world, or this part of it. It is possible that we could still be asleep and dreaming this…” Upon saying that, Battousai held the grim realization that he could be the only one sleep and everything and everyone else was simply a projection in his own mind in which he were trapped. More time was needed to think, so Battousai would inform Yuki, or dream Yuki, to “move as swiftly as you can in a straight line… from this position.” East of the forest was Medius, so if Yuki ran into the area merged with city and forest, then he should know where he was. If he went until he eventually reached the sea, then he would know that he was heading west. South would take him to the mountains, but north would only lead him to more and more forests as well as the unknown. Though, due to the forest’s enchantment, the possibility would be strong that Yuki would simply return to the position where Battousai was. While Yuki did this, Battousai would be able to think out his next move in attempting to escape this place… if it were real. (457/2000)

?? - Battousai’s attention is on the child as he speaks a confirmation of the direction of east. With that, there seemed a bit of hope that they actually knew which way that was in this fog. The spell is noticed and seemed to work wonders in healing, which seemed interesting in itself; it was always good to have someone around who could heal. Attention shifts to Yuki as Battousai observes him prepare and depart. After Yuki had taken off at his impressive speeds, Battousai would return his attention to this original plan and take a few steps away from that area looking for a place where he would have room to himself. After walking clear of the others, he would clapse together both hands before his chest and close his eyes and ask for Jyneil’s help. Words would be lost from his lips, drowned in the mask that covers the bottom portion of his face as a circle grid of pale white light forms at his feet. To his sides and front, three balls of light would generate (Light Icons, Mastered). The balls would elongate into tube like rods and softly hover over the ground on opposing sides of him forming a triangle. He imbues the light with his ki gaining the ability to feel through them (Icon’s Presence, Mastered) gaining a greater ‘vision’ of the area around him. Concentrating on them, he then lifts them about ten feet or so in the air above him before he sends them out in three opposite directions. They would cut through the air and enter into the unknown fogs, being his eyes in this madness for the time being. With them, he would be able to feel anything within a ten foot radius of each of the three icons; since he didn’t have men to sacrifice to the fog the icons would be his ‘way points’ through the fog. Thus, from this point on, his attention would be directed to feeling through the icons and around his own body, as he was never one to be in a state without defenses of some sort. (808/2000)

The bind breaking attempt on the fog fails. It appears whatever this fog is, it is not a type of binding magic. Once more the spirutal element of the fog came into play. Less of a bind and more of a confusion of direction. As if one merely by stepping into the wrong location in the fog would somehow end up back where they had started. However. The light guide seems to be lighting a direct path to the lake through the fog. Whilst people are trying to find their way through it. The Dark King has after all this time. Seemingly done so himself. He emerges at the edge of the lake, still foggy all around. He passes over the lake's water. Floating upon a cloud of darknness as he walks towards the island in the centre. There one of his servants greets him, next to that. The corpse of one of the others. " What happened?". Says the Dark King. And the servant proceeds to explain. " Well when we got here, we found something odd about the place, so we started looking into it just like you asked. And then we found that". The servant points over to a black rock in the middle of the island. The exact. Middle of the island. " When we began to probe it with magic, well...it created all this fog...and we couldn't find our way out...from the visions its been giving-". The Dark King nodded and examined it. The rock seemed to be imbedded in the earth. So much so that even a forceful pull from him could not dislodge it.

" It is strange". Said the King. " Some magic is keeping it here...this is not its true form. Nor its true power....I will have to use my power to dispel whatever enchantment is here...". The servant nodded. The Dark King turned and looked back in the direction he came before looking back at the rock.

"People may come to stop us.... Ensure no one gets in my way..."

With that...the dark king began his work dispelling whatever Enchantment was on the shard. And the moment he did. There was a strange howl going throughout the fog. ( Air raid sirens). There is the sound of wings from above. And strange shadows in the mist.

?? - Battousai would continue to feel around the area about him. As he did so, he began to get a better understanding of his surroundings. After a moment of thinking on it, it did make sense that things without minds wouldn’t be so easily redirected. Since he simply pushed the icons to go in one direction and didn’t visually move them as one would traditionally think, it seemed as if he were getting closer to getting some type of results. As he searches the emptiness of the area beyond where those who had been fighting the dark one had been deposited, he feels a single particular entity as well as the landscape changing around an area with a ground that was more fluid than it was hard. As Battousai focused his attention on this point, he begins to realize that there was a lake or something of the sort at this position. Finding something that was different than what they had been stuck in seemed promising to the samurai as the first ray of hope in this hopeless situation.

Just as he was getting a good feel for things, he hears something that he felt he ought not hear. His eyes open as his concentration is cut and he turns to see the one whom he had told to run swiftly in one direction. A bit confused on why Yuki had come back, he would inquire, “did you find something?” That was the only reason that Battousai would feel Yuki would turn around and come back to where they were. Summary: Located a lake somewhere in the fog.

?? - For a moment Battousai felt that he must be in a dream; it was the only way to explain Yuki’s snapping at him then dismissal as if he were being put on the back burner. There would be no words from the samurai, though for a moment, his hand would lower to his side, resting on the hilt of his blade. Anyone else and they would have been discarded, but there was something about a student that allowed him to keep his life at the moment. Though definitely rubbed the wrong way, Battousai would not fall into anger as well despite being disrespected. Generally someone of little emotion, the samurai did find it odd that he was annoyed by the response. It was only in their bond that enabled him to feel anything towards Yuki, be it camaraderie or annoyance. After Yuki finishes speaking and allots the proper amount of attention back to him when he finished murmuring, looking and such, his answer would be given with disapproving eyes would lock onto his. The answer would come in a strict tone, “I think the fog is causing you to lose your senses.” It wasn’t as if he couldn’t tell that Yuki was obviously frustrated with the situation; Battousai knew that if he were weak enough to become frustrated as his novice disciple then the fates would surely work against them. The sensei wouldn’t become hypocritical to what he taught his student in their spar before coming here.

?? - The child seemed to be walking away. There had been merit in his words about there being some type of spatial magic in place, though without any long distance warping abilities, Battousai would not be able to test it out. He assumed the child didn’t have such abilities either since he walked away during the confrontation between master and pupil instead of teleporting away to test it. As far as he knew, Battousai didn’t think that Yuki could teleport either.

Since Yuki seemed to be pulling his senses back in order, the topic of disrespect could be lowered for the time being, thus Battousai would not speak on the issue much further, except for giving Yuki a final gaze. Battousai’s attention is already elsewhere while Yuki continued to ironically speak about wasting time. The samurai did respect that instead of getting into their business, the one whom Yuki referred to as Noah stayed on task. The child wouldn’t get far since the verbal back and forth wouldn’t take longer than it took for Yuki to speak. Battousai noticed that the men and the child were heading towards one of his icons, thus he would mentally call the others to follow the men and thus the icons would lead a way from point A to point B in a manner where Battousai could follow without getting lost in the fog. It seemed as long as they could see one another, they wouldn’t get turned around in it.

Moving in silence at least on his end, Battousai would be a few paces behind the men who were with the child. His arrival would be after the first survey of the group of men, but he would eventually come through the fog into the area where the lake would be and with him, his three light icons would convene and come to hover in front of him as he steps towards the water’s edge yards away from the child and his party.

It seemed that some of you had made it out of the trappings of the fog. However some of you were still lodged within the maze. And danger was only going to become greater. The servat of the dark king now sensed the presence of those who were staring out onto the island. Especially that of the arch angel Noah. The sirens continued to ring out, which to those still trapped in the fog should have really been a kind of warning to get out of there as fast as their legs could take them. The shadows above them started to get worse then the sound of something landing behind them. One the groups of commoner defenders (Alicia's) would let out a cry of terror. One of their members, the lst of them that was seen was their dangling legs being lifted above into the foggy sky. And then. a rain of blood falling over the land. Running would probably be a good idea at this stage.

As for Noah, Batosai and Yuki. The servant of the dark king turned to his master. " They have arrived my liege. Do you wish me to destroy them?". The Dark King was unresponsive. Seemingly ocncentrating too much on dispelling the rock. So the servant merely took that as a yes. Or at least delay them. And headed out onto the lake, walking across the water with strangely what appeared to be. Light guuiding his feet. He raised up a hand, and a barrier of light formed around the island. [[ Crusader's Resistance: Barrier = INT +2. Density = 7]]. He would come into sight of those standing near the water. A figure gardbed in a white robe. Unlike the King who was a hybrid of some kind. This servant appeared to be a spirit. And one who wielded light to the King's Darkness.Which could have only made him a Kami.

" I see you've made it, just as the King expected. Well. You'll go no further"

The Servant of the Dark King seems to be focused upon Noah, however at this distance ( 30 feet) without enchanced sight it would be difficult to tell. He begins the motions for an attack. Light gathering around him, he gestures at Yuki. " Filthy creature!"[ Demon Purge: INT +2, DMG = Godlike]. The attack bursts out as a ray of light shaped like a spear. Intenting to impale Yuki.

?? - It would seem that something was going in here far beyond Battousai's realm of understanding. His attention would be garnered by the figure crossing the waters in a manner where his full attention would be given to the Kami when it would begin to speak. For some reason, the samurai noticed that the new arrivals attention was on the other two rather than himself, but through its words, he was able to understand that they had somehow trespasses on someone else's land. As one who traveled a lot, Battousai understood how protective people could be of there lands, so if possible he wanted to avoid fighting, because due to his sense of honor and responsibility, they were the ones in the wrong, approaching with what looked like an army into another's backyard.

Before he could speak out, however, he felt a magical spike in the entity as it attaked Yuki. In his mind, he knew that Yuki was the worst one to attack if trying to talk things out due to his instable emotional issues. Interfering, Battousai would hold a hand up and at Yuki and exert a strong force on him to push him so the side of the attack unharmed. He would also call, "Yuki, be calm," before addressing the Kami, "wait... If we have trespasses, at least allow us departure. We entered your land unknowingly." Afterall, Battousai arrived late to everything and didn't understand the specifics of the situation.

The Kami looked at Batosai as he moved Yuki out of the attacks direction. The spear of light impaled itself on the ground and disipated into the air. At first there was annoyance. But then that cleared as the samurai seemed to broker a peace and not attack. The Kami had recieved no orders from the dark king to outright kill them. And if they were willing to leave....But then again there was a problem with that. The artifact would not allow them to leave. This small area seemed to be only one not effected by the spiritual distortion.

" My orders were to stop you coming any further...if you lay down arms and wait for my king to complete his spell. We shall all be able to leave this place. Until his spell is complete however...the fog you travelled through shall prevent any of us from leaving".

" Very well". The figure said looking at Noah and Yuki. " If the fate you choose is obliteration. Then it is my duty to deliver it". He looked over at Batosai. " If it is your will to remain out of this. Then I shall honour that". For now it would seem that the white robed figure would unleash his wrath upon Yuki and Noah, but not upon Batosai. However, Noah's words seemed to amuse him slightly. " So it is the arch angel Noah I face this day? It is an honour indeed....but your authority, does not reach me yet child". A shining light began to glow around him. one that would act as a becon for the remaindr of the warriors stuck within the light. " I am his voice, and my name is in him, and in his name. I command you to bow your heads in reverence to the one true King of this land!". The light exploded outwards, within it something that sapped your will to resist. Something that would make you feel like falling to your knees. [ Metatron's Decree: Effects: DMG +0 ( Base INT) BND ( STG 5,Destructive, Mental), HND ( STG 6, 6ATT -1), AOE ( Stage 4). Batosai would seemingly be the only one not targetted by this technique. In keeping to the word of the Kami before you.


" I am Metatron. Voice, and Herald of the Dark King, and you shall submit...as I was made to."

?? - Battousai was a bit surprised that the one whom they had spoken to had replied back amicably and paused in his attack. The terms for non combat seemed good and well enough; the samurai would have no knowledge of the spell that was currently being casted, but he figured it may be safe to assume that both the spell did not apply to them and that the ones this entity represented was trapped in the fog as well. From the sounds of things, this entity and its master could not escape the fog until this spell was completed, so it seemed to make the most sense to allow that to occur first and then when all parties were returned to the normal realm of the world, then further actions could be taken based on the situation.

A counter argument is given in a seemingly cynical manner as Battousai notices the revelation of the boy’s demeanor. The statements seemed to accuse the unnamed Kami as well his master for bringing the entire populace that was in attendance to this area or realm. Upon reaching his ears, this didn’t make sense or sit well with the samurai, since if this spell was something to be done in private, the last thing someone would want to do would be to bring a large number of people into the area where it must be cast. On top of that, if it were the intent of this kami’s master to bring them all here, then there should be some type of ambush awaiting them instead of a single guardian who was charged to protect an area. The multitude of creatures that were attacking before were no longer present, so there was nothing solidifying that the one before them was an enemy or that his master was the old man from the encampment that had initially turned on them.

Battousai heard Yuki’s words, but he knew full and well that thinking wasn’t that male’s strong point, so the words were duly noted but nothing more. Dravec? Yes. Yuki? No. Could the reason they were brought here be that a spell of annihilation needed to be prepared? It seemed like a pretty inefficient way to kill a group when you had legions of undying dark minions under your command. The main question Battousai would have for Yuki would be who this ‘he’ person was, since he seemed to either have some idea of who this entities master was or immediately linked it to the Dark King from the camp.

Before he could respond, it would seem that Yuki and the other had damned themselves to an attack. The samurai knew well that Yuki could protect himself against a single opponent, so there was no worry there, thus he could turn his attention elsewhere. As the child went on the offensive, Battousai would turn to the seemingly weakened Yuki and comment, “I’m going to confirm with this one’s master.” With that, a light would shine about Battousai and his image would vanish from sight.

The Kami Metatron holds out his hand after the attack fails upon Noah. At the moment Yuki was a non worry. So for the most part he was to be ignored. What could not be however was the attack that Noah was directing. Metatron threw up a shield of light in front of him. [ Crusaders Resistance, distance from Noah> Island. Interupted]. The shield takes the hit intended for the shield around the island but also penetrates and damages the Kami. It seemed that it was true. The Kami was not concerned with killing them as much as preventing them from passing. Batosi would disappear. But once again having not taken any aggressive stance. Metatron's attention seemed soley focused upon Noah at this point in time.

" Face the voice of destruction"

He formed a spear of light in his hands like before and tossed it through the air. Firing towards Noah at abnormal speed. [Demon Purge: INT+2, Godlike damage]

Metatron looked on as Noah blocked his attack. And followed up with a speech of his own which seemed to strike at the heart of the Kami without even requiring the technique behind it. He looked up at Noah and shook his head. " You don't understand, that is no army of Oni that the Dark King leads!". An enigmatic point to say the least. But it would be a sharp remidner of just what Noah had faced when the Creepers had first emerged. Beings of pure blackness that came in the shape of both Kami. Oni and humans. They were of darkness. But not the kind of darkness demons were bore of. The kind of darkness that stunk of death. " You don't understand Noah, nor do I expect you to. But what I do I do for all our kind". And thats when the spell hit him. The Kami grasped around his hood, the eyes of red flashing on and off. " Resist...no.....more.....Cannot...". He fell silent. Apparantly struggling within himself to overcome Noah's spell.

?? - His disappearance would be a simple teleportation spell to distance him from Yuki and to get a better and angled layout of the path he may wish to take. Having teleported to the side several feet from his currently position, Battousai would call upon his speed in order to propel his body forwards and towards the island where the ‘master’ of the one fighting Noah was assumed to be. He would make sure to move around the area where Noah and the guardian were battling, unsure if a large attack would need to be evaded at any point in time. Either way, he would trust his speed to be quicker than any spell that could be dished out and expanded over an area. With the inherent ability to fly, though not fully manifested, it would seem as if Battousai were speedily running over the water to those where had locked onto him visually during the brief moment he was visible for his run. Approaching the island of uncertain distance, he would hold off on sensing out for any signs of movement on it in order to first get a visual of the island, its size, shape, structure and any visual keys that may lead him in the direction of this level’s boss.

The Metatron's eyes turned fully Red as he gave into Noah's spell. The barrier of light shattered under Noah's offensive allowing Jyn to pass onto the Island if he was to try. However, the white coated figure. Standing now there still. Looked up at Noah, and then. Darkness engulfed him from the inside out. It seemed to come out from under his hood and take over his entire body. Those red eyes soon being extinguished to white. Then, hand outstretched. It faded into ash. Almost too much like those numerous servants of the Dark King. Regardless it appeared that the Dark king had fail safes intended to keep his servants from betraying him. For now. Noah had been victorious. And the path was clear towards the Island. And Yuki, now free of his binds could move again.

On the island, powerful magic was begining to gather in a vortex of spiritual energy. The same kind of spiritual power that seemed to premiate the rest of the forest. The Dark kings spell was apparantly almost complete on the stone. And only a few precious seconds remained before his goal was completed. The fog would soon be lifted. And people able to escape. A sthe magic grew more concentrated into the area. The fog from around the forest almost seemed to be being drawn inwards.

?? - Looking ahead, Battousai would feel the barrier that he was approaching, but suddenly if by coincidence, he wouldn’t have to do anything about it as it would burst and fade on its own with the triumph of Noah’s power over the lesser Kami. Now encouraged to continue forth Battousai’s movements speed forth with im leaping from his dashing and hovering position over the final rececesses of the water’s edge to land both feet in a crouched position at the edge of the island. After reaching dry ground beyond the coast of the water, he would look up to immediately notice a spiraling of energy above the island. The scope of the massive tornado like effect would be a bit humbling in comparison to his size, but it would be a good indicator of which direction to go. Not wasting any time, his body lifts up from the crouch in a dashing run towards the center of the island heading towards the source or central portion of the spiraling energy. From what he could understand while speedily making his way towards the epicenter of the spiraling energy, he could see that the fog that had been over the forest was passing him up from the sides and high above heading in the same direction that he was heading. He didn’t know what it all meant, but a part of him wondered if it were wise to continue in the direction he was going. Beneath the shroud of his lower face mask, Battousai’s lips murmur an incantation fueled by Jyneil’s energy. As these murmurs are passed through his lips, there is the sound of energy forming as a faint glow in the shape of a sphere reflects light about Battousai’s body (Shield of Light, SHLD4).

Coming out of the forest wall, Battousai come into range of the area where he should be able to take in his new surroundings with some type of visual or sense of the Dark King.
