The time is evening. The sun squats on the western horizon. You are passing through a small tribal village named Ohman in Rockland, Medius (O3). You discover a sign with the silhouette of a little creature with an X through the image. The more you walk around Ohman the more you see more of these posters. You can hear noise coming from the town center. People are gathering in the center of town. A stout man with a pot belly and bald head in hobo clothing stands on top of a stack of milk crates in front of a crowd. He is giving a speech.
“I have a dream (yes!)… that my four little children will ONE DAY live in a village not plague by the green plight but in a village free from oppression! I have a dream!”
The crowd is cheering for some reason. It looks like less of a crowd but more of a lynch mob. Pitch forks, lanterns and torches all around. The man keeps talking.
“The Green Plight has gone too far! He has taken the princess of this village and has enslaved her in his pit of sultry and putrid lust! Right now our princess is doing unimaginable things to him. Things which are not right! Things that we cannot speak of in front of children!”
He looks around to the crowd.
“Imagine if you will, our princess in tattered clothing on the floor of some cave being spanked with a riders prop while serving a plate of fruit and ale on her back for the Green Plight while calling him master! Imagine if you will, him asking her ‘who’s your master!’ and forcing her to respond ‘Cho nuff!’ Now imagine her in a bunny…”
“Get to the point old man!”
The blushing village elder coughs into his fist. The blush goes away.
“Anyway, that is why we must unite! As leader, the associated farmers of Ohman are offering a large reward to any intrepid explorer who is able to rescue our princess and defeat the Green Plight once and for all! Now due to my position, I cannot go with you, but do not fret about the many that tried and came back bloody pulps, unics and shadows of their former selves! Do not fret about the many many MANY horror stories that you’ve heard about. Don’t worry about a slow and painful death at the hands of a godless creature of bane! Do not imagine its chief’s blade slamming into your clavicle, breaking your sternum and impaling your intestines! Search for your balls and do not come up wanting! Take on this task and restore what dignity is left to our village!”
The crowd blinks. They murmur and the vigor lowers. It didn’t look like anyone was going to step forth. There was a lot of “uhh’s” and looking around.
“Anyone... who will come forth... the more the merrier!”

"Angeli ie demonei kruzh'ili nado mnoj...
Rassekali ternii ie m'lech-nye puti.
Ne znaet schast'ya tol'ko tot
Kto ego zova ponyat ne smog..."
Iskra, a spotty-haired woman, moved quietly along a singular path, death growling some murmured, polluted syllables in some black tongue. It was an exercise. Since first learning how to access the power of magic, she'd since been channeling the feelings she used to summon it harmlessly. The result gave her a large magic presence, and though it was difficult to maintain, she knew that to use it practically in battle to fight and later escape any punishment, she'd have to learn to call forth the spells without completely draining herself. So she walked and channeled. She grew tired and still she beckoned one foot in front of the other. Growling. Marching.
Her wandering brought her to a crowd of people. They were in the way. It failed to snap her out of her snarling reverie. Most of the people in the crowd were weak. She was able to continue putting one foot in front of the other despite their presence.
"Nalybuites... nalyubuites...
Sirol'g airea... sirol'g airea..."
Her continued walking brought her to the front of the crowd before the talking village elder. She frowned. The stack of milk crates was a substantially bigger obstacle than the crowd or the man standing atop it. This forced her to pause. If she continued walking in a straight line as her personal rules of meditation dictated, then invariably the pile would collapse upon her form and stop her anyways.
With a sigh she stopped before the crowd and before the man, looking to her left and right. Which way held the fewest obstructions?

I find myself passing through a small tribal village named Ohman in Rockland, Medius (O3). Luckily, much of what I do is pre-scripted for me, but aside from passing through this area and making these notices, I walk with my lovely travel companion that I met in the desert. After leaving Rajeh, we had been hanging out for a while and traveling various places. Heading back north, we passed through here thinking that we could find a place to stay for the evening, but with the effects happening in the town square, interest was stolen and I found myself motioning towards it and inquiring if she wanted to check out what was going on.
On arrival to the ruckus, I hear a speech that is given by a stout male. Overall, I found it a bit odd in its message, but I got the basic gist of it. There was a princess somewhere that was captive somehow who needed to be saved. Much of that was uninteresting, but what was interesting was the reward given. I was always up for getting rewards; as an adventurer, this sounded like it would fit within my job description. A quick glance to my traveling partner and I pass the non verbal suggestion, “hey, I think we should take this job.”

..The Golden Tonberry ..Lethe, the Cryosamurai: ......The fresh air, the cool breeze, and the bright blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds. As a young samurai walked through the village streets of Ohman, these were all aspects of his surroundings the he enjoyed. The samurai, known as Lethe, hailed from the northern forest regions and the Village of the Moon, and as such this was all a new sight for him. For once in his life it felt good to get out of the compact forest and into what accounted for outside civilization. In a way, compared to all of this the forest was a claustrophobic's worst nightmare. But that wasn't all! There we many things to enjoy; in addition to the unique people his eyes came upon with each change in direction, there was also the wide open spaces. You see, in the forest there are few areas that offer an adequate view of the beautiful day time sky, as it is shrouded by a dense upper layer of leaves and branches. It was for that reason alone he was so enthralled by the view of the sky, and he began to wonder if he ever wanted to go back to the village.
......Being lost in his train of thought he'd completely lost concentration on where he was going. He went chest first into a citizen of the village who at that time was focused in on listening to someone speaking. Before the man could turn around to berate Lethe, the young man quickly apologized. Among other things, manners were one of the most valued aspects of his own society. He'd shame his ancestors if he showed shameful manners. To his surprise, though, the man wasn't cross with him. In fact, he took one look at his clothing and weapons and smiled, "Ah! Another one! You, young man!" The gentlemen, who could only be described as a strange fellow with overly tight clothing and long stringy hair, because to point towards the gathered crowd in front of him. "Our village needs someone like you! Go! Go, listen!"
......Before Lethe could protest being involuntarily volunteered for such a duty, the man was pushing him towards the gathered crowd. Lethe gave a sigh of resignation as he was pushed, not wanting to hurt the poor fool and cause a scene. He'd been sent here by his village to gather supplies and trade, among a couple other things, but he supposed if these people needed help that badly he could at least lend them an ear. If anything he could prove to be a good ambassador to this place from his village. And so, he found himself standing among the crowd, listening to some babbling fool go on and on about some great threat to the village and it's people. For some reason, his description didn't intimidate Lethe in the least. It seemed like an easy enough job ... and Lethe would do this, in the name of the Village of the Moon. A soldier slaying such a beast would be good notoriety for them.
......He continued listening, trying his best to concentrate on what the man was saying but there was something tugging at his senses. Something that was denying him full concentration. It was a miniscule feeling at first, like a tendril lightly brushing against the back of your head. They say that smell is the most powerful key in recognition and unlocking memories, and in this case it was no different. As soon as that scent his his nose, Lethe's attention was pulled completely away from the tubby preaching man. She was here.
......It was strange to him; normally humans didn't have that great of a sense of smell, but when it came to her he could seemingly track her down as soon as she came within a set range. It happened that ... one night, and it was happening now. With such a tool at his disposal, the young samurai quickly found who he was looking for. There, before the crowd looking as disinterested as was possible, was the woman he'd sworn a life oath too. Iskra, the hyena demon. He wasn't sure if that was her actual title, but it was something he remembered her by, save for what happened immediately afterward.
......All of his best senses told him to walk away, to leave and never come back. That was only a small shred of his humanity, and the rest of him pulled him toward her. His sense of honor locked him into a life debt to her for saving his life, and another part of him simply wanted to be around her. He'd never show that, though. He'd ensure that his appearance would keep the facade that it was all about business and honor. And so he moved through the crowd, his destination his master.
......Among the loud crowd his footsteps were silent, and before he knew it the much taller man was standing behind the woman. He looked down upon her for a moment, briefly reminiscing the night she'd saved him. It was time to make good upon that oath. "Iskra ..." his voice was calm and collected, without even the slightest hint of apprehension.

The Golden Tonberry
Traveling along side Jyn for a while after our chance meeting in the desert. I find myself traveling north when we come across the village of Ohman in the Rocklands of Medius. I find the place to be rather dirty with all the old signs posted up all over the place. Looks like some kid lost their pet and went and put up a 1000 signs in the same area. Stopping to have a closer look at one with an X across the image. It seems as if these are some type of bounty postings. I give Jyn a nod as our interest seem to have be taken by the happenings in the village center.
My brow is raised at the speech of the pot belly, bald headed hobo. I wasn't sure if the guy was the village elder or if he was the village idiot. But I know one things. Pick pocketing is a lot easier when everyone is in a big group and all eyes are on some idiot that is going on about some priestess getting sexual harassed by a chief's knife. I lightly bump into the guy in front of us as I swipe a pouch from his belt. Feeling Jyn's eyes on me I glance over at him with a 'What? I'm working here." look... Wait the guy said something about loot... "We're in!" I push Jyn up to the front. I give him a "This had better be worth the time."

Slowly shifting my gaze I glance around as I continue to move forwards, making my way through Ohman. When I had first arrived in this village I had spotted a sign of some creature with an X through it and as I continue to move further into the village more and more of these signs continue to come up. These posters seem strange as if whoever put them up wants whatever the creature is dead, something I could make happen for the right price. As the sound of noise begins to draw my attention away from the signs I shift my gaze towards the center of town as I continue moving, making my way towards the center of town. As I move closer I reach up to make sure my hood is drawn up over my head to obscure my face with shadows. Moving closer to the noise I begin to hear some of what is being said, most of which seems to becoming from a singular entity talking to the rest of a crowd. Coming to a stop at the outer rim of the crowed I listen carefully to the man as he continues to speak and it seems they are having some sort of trouble and there princess has been taken, though what is being done to her sounds a tad bit interesting... I find I have to push aside other thoughts as I listen to the man speaking about there princess. From the sound of it, it seemed I may be having some work here in this place or at least a quick and simple job, take care of some monster and save the princess, just like a fairy tale. As the man draws to a close and inquires as to who would be willing to solve there problem I glance around for a moment, unsure if any of the villagers would be up for the task given the fact they are looking for outside help of the sorts. Stepping up to meet the challenge I speak up, " I shall take your offer and offer my services to save your princess. " I say in a loud voice as to get the attention of the man that had been speaking.

Medius... it had been several months since I was last in this region. I had come here looking for clues about where my Master had disappeared to. I also came looking for the ones who went into the Core with him but returned without him. No one would give me answers which sounds like betrayal to me. If I find proof that they betrayed him, I will kill every last one of them and feed them to the dark spirits until I get the intel that I need to find him. Walking around this area, brings back some pleasant memories as well. The Rocklands in particular were filled with happy memories. To some they would be torture, but within these lands were some of the first accomplishments in which I saw pride in my master's eyes.
I shake my head to push away thoughts of the past as I am here on business. I am supposed to be taking a job up here in the Rocklands. On the way to the village where I am to meet my client in about a day and a half, I come upon some small village called Ohman. Walking around this village, I had plans to pass straight through but there seems to be a gathering of sorts. Sticking to the outskirts of the commotion, I happen to notice that this obviously insane elder was trying to rally warriors to his cause. Now I have no clue about what he is ranting about, but if what he said was true then it might at least be entertaining. Keeping the hood of my traveling cloak raised, I move forward. I speak softly to the old man, "This Green Blight had better be worth the time or I will find you, old man. Where is its lair?" I paid no attention to the others gathered here. I did not care for them or their reasons, I simply wanted to go hunting.

The elder gets worried that no one was coming to face the challenge. But then the elder sees Iskra come forth out of the crowd!
"one such valiant warrior... in the form of a spotty haired woman murmuring things has arrived! what a brave soul you must be to give your life for another fellow woman!"
He sees Lethe arrive too and smiles.
"oh! and a swordsman as well! a shining example of justice! together you will make a team of shining goodness!"
Eri calls out and the elder looks that way.
"could it be? the movement is catching! two more! this is great!"
He turns when Yuki speaks and looks for him. He sees him and points.
"A strong proclamation by a mysterious stranger!"
He hears Dravec and looks @ him.
"good question from the impatient man in the back ! i shall go over everything in detail! is there anyone else?"
they had their A-team. no one else came forward. the elder praised those that came forward. the crowd cheers w/hope and then separate. the elder asks the heros to come. he steps down from the egg crates, stands behind them and whips out something long and skinny out of his pants. he unrolls the map and stretches it on the egg crates. he points to a location on the map north of rockland.
"we are here."
he points to another location.
"the fiendish lair is here. this is everything i know about it. It is on the outskirts of rockland. it is a very large structure surrounded by many lengths of dangerous yard and spotted forest which is surrounded by a stone wall! our men have found that the front of the stone wall has a metal portion that is stuck open! there is a stone path that leads to a stone water fall that sits in front of the entrance to the dark lair. it's about a ten minute walk from the gate to that fountain but beware in that area. once you get to the lair it consists of three levels. one at ground level, one above that and one below that. it has many rooms and many treasures. we have no idea where the princess is being held captive inside, you will have to find that out on your own. (basically its a big ass mansion on a 5 ancre lot). the beast is the most savage at night, so i suggest getting a good night sleep here and trying in the morning when it is dormant and docile!" ---

Exploring had its draw backs.. like when you ended up flying for hours without seeing anything of actual interest. I was still trying to learn more about this land and what may have happened here. By uncovering that VERITAS I may be able to learn about our own history. The day had been beautiful for the most part. Looking down, I would bring my eyes across another being, one who looked familiar. At least I thought he looked familiar. From up here it was hard to tell. Taking a quick dive, I would sharpen my form across rooftops of what looked to be a small farming village. There it was again, a glance of silver. Sitting down, I would cross my legs and watch the entire ordeal unfold from the top of a small hut. There it was, that silver hair one more time. It was definitely him from the way he asked his question. So direct and straight forward to get a point across, I liked it. ‘Alright void master..’ I thought to myself. I wanted to see what he planned on doing. I had been through here earlier on my way out, and figured this may have something to do with those little posters everywhere. While I was slightly concerned about it, I decided to keep it for the best. I could have floated over to the rest of them, but staying here would be just fine. The old man would say to get a good night’s rest and start in the morning. I had a better idea. As soon as the crowd would break, I would make my way over to find Dravec. Lowering to the ground behind the small little farm home, my body would shift around to the direction of the other. If he know where the location on that map was, and this thing was stronger at night, then I liked the odds of us going after it together without interference from anyone else. ”Aye Dravec..”

Listening to the old man speak, I did not like his description of the situation. The opening that the villagers knew was stuck open. That sounds like a corral used to channel enemies to a specific point that this creature had chosen. If there are 3 levels, it would be most probable that he was on located on the floor with the easiest visibility of enemies and escape possibilities. The bottom floor would have more treasure I'd figure but I actually wasn't here for the treasure really. I would help myself to some items in order to make the trip worth while, but I had one thing on my mind... fighting something so savage that it put this much fear in this village's heart. It sounded like it would be quite the enjoyable hunt. The other thing I didn't like was that we have very little intel regarding his actual defenses or if the creature is guarded by any specific beasts.
Looking over the map intently, I memorize it as best as I can before speaking, "Tonight is smarter as we are a small group. We can utilize the cover of darkness to slip in far less detectable and while this creature may be stronger at night, its defenses will not be. Also, that opening in the wall sounds like an ideal place for a trap or ambush." If people listened, then fine. If not, it was of no consequence to me. I would go tonight.
To my surprise, I hear my name called out. My hair is truly too noticeable even with a traveling cloak. The voice is quite familiar though. I nod my head and respond to the Sky Man, "I figured you would be here, Ashurei." Y eyes remain on the map as I look for an entrance to the lair that would be less confrontational.

It was great to see that he remembered me. Making my way through the short crowd, I would stop next to him, facing the other direction. I had heard everything, and was really in a mood for some reckless adventure. With our powers combined (…), we should be able to handle such an easy of a task as rescuing a princess. I was half impatient; half highly excited to get something like this down. “I agree with you. If you know the way, we can get this over with before anyone else even has breakfast.” My words would be quiet and directed only at the other one. I was confident that his abilities would be quite useful in this manner.

It was different here. Not, here as in the village. Here as in Terra. The realm of humans was. Strange to him now.
Jack stretched out a hand, feeling the wind. The breeze. He clasped the hand. A cool breeze. Much much different from the savage winds of the underworld. But then, that was ner'ay a good thing. After all, to get used to such things was to allow weakness to prevail. And that was not what he wanted. Jack didn't plan on a long stay here. He would return to the seat of Pride in time. But for now he was conducting his own search of the human world. The Oni was searching for something, someone. Who, may or may not exist. A specific person that he had sent one particular female demon to hunt and find. However. It was a large world. He did not favour the odds of it being a quick search. Thus, a personal touch was always an advantage. It was on this little search that he encountered this village. The strange shouting man. And the crowd that seemed to gather around. A reward for a quest. For saving a princess. How novel. Curious. Jack pressed his index finger to his lip. In his other hand gripped the pommel of his cane. He examined those in the crowd. His senses kicked off with a few of them. Half breeds some and....interesting. A large search. A large world. And yet here was the very demon he'd sent out in that direction. Did it mean that he was on the right track as well? Perhaps.
Jack strolled outwards, the cane like a third leg, moving in front always. After all. It carried his weapon. Always best to have it where he intended to use it. It was amusing listening to the rabble speaking amongst themselves. Plans to defeat this vile monster that had captured the princess so fair. Jack held no real interest for a reward. After all. What use was it to him? He spent most of his time in a place where two of his kind would look at one stretch of land, then kill each other. Not for the land though. Just because two of them happened to be there.
However. Jack had always been a curious creature. The researcher who observed odd behaviour in an insect and didn't crush it because of that. It was this creature that interested him. Why would such a monster kidnap a human? A princess? Did she herself hold some sort of magical significance? If so. Her blood might be useful for his magics. It was a curiousity. So for the moment. He would stick around. However. He didn't say a word. Merely stood there, A patch of his hair covering his eyes with a shade. A mild grin on his face. And his constant demonic aura, disconcerning.

One thing shook Iskra out of her growling reverie, and it wasn't necessarily the loud old man. It was a... mate of hers.
"Lethe?" she said reluctantly, turning to ensure it was really him. Her face failed to show the surprise that her voice betrayed, perhaps because she was more experienced in keeping her face its usual blank, vaguely intimidating mask whereas she wasn't so experienced in talking. "How... what are you doing here?"
For the moment, she mostly missed what the old man was saying, but this was a man she hadn't seen in months and he'd somehow found her.
The second thing she became aware of worried her a bit more. A familiar demonic presence hovered somewhere in the crowd, and something made her uncomfortable with the idea of them meeting. Perhaps it was the dream and her conscious knowledge that should the fancy strike Jack, he could kill Lethe and there'd be little she could do about it. Such a possibility was far off, assuredly, but it wasn't a logical worry.

..The Golden Tonberry ..Lethe, the Cryosamurai: ......Even if her face didn't show it, she was obviously surprised to see him. Lethe could tell that just by the sound of her voice. As a soldier one could expect to gain extensive knowledge of negotiation techniques, and among those was the ability to pick up on such subtle cues. One's tone of voice and choice of words often betrayed whatever outside image they were attempting to keep up. Regardless, he couldn't tell what she actually thought of his presence, even if it was accidental.
......"I ..." Lethe began but paused, his eyes scanning her over, "... was sent here by my village. I was here on business, but .... I was planning on helping these people with their problem. Couldn't hurt the reputation of my people in the world." The young man explained his situation and for the most part shut out the rest of the people in the area. The woman who had saved his life was before him, and who he subsequently vowed a life debt for. When she just ... ran off like she did, he was unsure how to react. Honor was one of the few things men of this world could control, and ensuring that a life debt was fulfilled salvaged ones honor. Declaring one and it never being paid was, in his people's eyes, a date worse than death.
......Demon. A growling voice echoed in his head.
......Damn it. The man's eyes closed, the brilliant amber flare diminishing, and he shook his head heavily. No matter was he said, Lethe had to remain calm; at least until he could completely control it. The cryosamurai took a shallow breath, as if catching it, and looked back down at his former savior. "However, I intend to make good upon my oath, Iskra. I owe you everything."
......Lethe, who was much taller than the female, knelt to one knee, his head bowed his respect, "My life is yours. Simply direct it." Perhaps a little overly dramatic, but he hoped it would make his point. He was still ... confused about how exactly she'd transformed, but considering her pack hunter past such a sign of respect and deference of authority should strike deep for her. "If I may make a suggestion, I'd say we should do what this man was asking. There could be gain to be made from it."
Subject: Re: Shinteractive Quest: The Golden Tonberry Wed May 25, 2011 6:08 pm
So... he admitted that she was now his "matriarch", as it were? One ranked above him? Ostensibly it was because of her two legs, but she began to delight in the fact rather quickly. After all, stranger things had transpired than the appearance of this one she hadn't seen in a long time, and it was refreshing to have a clanmate again.
She wanted to hug him or lick him or use any gesture of affection between their two species in her knowledge base, but the rigid values she'd been instilled with when she was younger dictated that she remain standing and somewhat aloof. It wouldn't do for her to give any confusing motions.
Yet, she plainly smiled, showing the happiness that accompanied the occasion.
"This man?" Her attention came back to his words and she realized that the man had descended the milk crates and had imparted some instructions for them.
"Oh yea, he was going on about some matriarch's daughter? I mean... uhh... princess?"
She wrinkled her nose, but there was a possibility that this princess was the one who would smell like Jack. After all, she didn't have any details concerning this entity's station in life, just her smell.
"We can do it." The demon flashed him a toothy grin. "We'll be stronger together."

..The Golden Tonberry ..Lethe, the Cryosamurai: ......Well, that had gone better than expected. Not only had he not negatively impacted his reputation with her by submitting and accepting her leadership, but she had also accepted his life debt. In a small way this brought some semblance of normality to Lethe's life, at least in the sense of doing something he felt was important. Not that being a soldier wasn't important - for he could be a representative of the Village of the Moon and be her personal samurai at the same time - but service to the one that saved a man's life is paramount. He was sure that people from other parts of the world wouldn't understand such priorities, but they had been engrained to him since he was young.
......From this point forward he would accompany her on her travels, and see to it that whatever designs she may have hatched for Terra would come to fruition and be successful. Yes, he knew that she was a demon and what her kind was capable of. Samael made it his priority to educate him on them upon his revitalization. But, he wouldn't stop her; nay, he'd help. Besides, he wasn't sure what it was about her, but he didn't sense a great evil within her. Lethe wouldn't think twice about judging her on anything other than her actions. Not that it mattered, anyway, for she was his new master, and as such he would always provide whatever assistance he could without question.
......Speaking of successful goals, if she had one she would first have to gain reputation among the people. Well, he supposed she could simply gain power and rule them with an iron fist, but that usually didn't work out too well for the tyrant. Yes, having them willfully submit to your rule was much easier and profitable. So, they needed a reputation resume and they were in a place of need. Lethe could think of no better place to start than helping these people, as having your name grace the tongue of the world was an admirable goal to achieve.
......Lethe gave a warm smile of agreement at her last statement, "I couldn't have said it better myself, master." Calling her by such a title rather than her name, in some small way, made the young samurai feel uncomfortable. Perhaps when they weren't in public he wouldn't use such terms, but when around other people he figured it best to call her by such. "I wasn't aware such a place could have a princess ... he's probably hiding something from us. But, no matter, we'd do best to worry about that once we get there. We should leave before the others." Lethe turned, beckoning her towards the edge of the village, "After you."

I give a funny look as I realize what Eri was doing; of course if we were in a crowd she would be stealing things from innocent people. She does however take the time to offer me a push while yelling that we would be in. Still amongst the crowd, but near the front, I look towards the portly elder who seems to welcome our arrival into this expedition. Aside from us two, it would seem that various others of questionable origin would also opt for the prize at hand. A familiar voice is heard after our participation is announced and I turn to see probably the only other white haired male in attendance. A grin comes to my lips as I recognize Little Hunter, or rather that was his name when we parted ways. Since then I had grown some in the form of bulk, no longer maintaining the default form of the slender and swift Battousai. I didn’t think he would recognize me right away, so I wouldn’t call out to him; it was just odd how we seemed to be brought together at a coincidence like this.
As the crowd withers between the non participants and those who would be seeking the prize, the procession is made to the crates on which the man was standing as I watch him pull out a map and point to various places on it. During this process, I at least make the mental attempt to memorize the map, the basic location of the lair we were supposed to breach and at the end of it I understood that this would probably end up being more of a competition than a collaborative effort. Even before the man makes the suggestion about staying overnight, with no real intentions of brainstorming with the group of people here I would look to Eri and give her the look as if to say, 'we’re leaving now' and with that, I would attempt to fade away from the crowd as unnoticeably as possible. There was about 5 miles between us and our objective; the sooner we got there ahead of the group, the better.

The Golden Tonberry
The ground that comes together is either a mix mach one. I haven't seen this many blonds since I was last in the Al'Bhed encampment. A few of them seem to know each other. Old friends running into each other by the looks of it and one of them sounded like... With my form leaning Jyn's as the elder hobo reaches into his pants. My golden eyes blink for a moment as I duck behind Jyn, expecting the hobo to whip out his water hose to... well hose us down. I'm just not into that type of stuff and I really didn't feel like smelling like pee. The long shiny thing catches my eye as it is pulled out then unrolling on the crates to saw a map of the area... I blink at it for a moment as I become disappointed that it was a silver sheet or something. The hobo tells us all he could about the area. Which wasn't really all that much or helpful. But my thief's mind takes in the information to from a plan. Seeing the compound for myself well be a lot more helpful than just hearing about it. Seeing Jyn's look of body speak. For some reason we seem to have clicked well with either and can read each other's body language in the short time we have known one another. I give him a nod and follow as we leave the town center.

Jacks interest in this quest was at best. Minimal.
The only thing that kept him here was a mild sense of curiousity. And the possibility of gaining some royal ( and perhaps virgin to boot) blood for his magics. It was a rare ingredient nowadays. And did not come so easily. Such an occassion was hard to pass up. Likely he would face resistance from the others. And perhaps this monster that held her captive for one reason or another. He had no real interest in sharing the results of it either. However. He did have one conditional ally at this place. The Hyena demon. So, with that. Jack moved towards her. He was at one stage. Close enough to catch the little go between from her and her male friend. The man was large. And had no taint in him. Yet...there was something else about him that Wiseman just couldn't put his finger on. As he drew closer and caught the, my life is yours part. Jack couldn't help but break into a chuckle. How cliche. Passing them from the side. Jack looked at her from the corner of his eye.
" The little princess and her knight...how touching...".
Jack had to wonder just how well these two actually knew one another. She seemed relaxed around him. At least, more so when she had met him. Perhaps it was natural that she was more cautious of the Pride Demon. But there was something else there. It was more than just relaxation. Almost like familiarity. For Jack, the saying about that had always rang true. That it bred contempt. Anyone Jack had spent a great ammount of time with was now well. Dead. "....Everyone seems to have merely accepted this quest as is....save the princess get a reward...but theres more to this story than meets the eye....why does a small village have a princess...if shes a royal where are the knights who should save her? Why resort to hired help? Why has this monster captured her?...does she hold some sort of power that it wants?...if so...". Jack let out a smirk, his chuckle slightly rising in volume. "...Should I take it for myself and kill the sowe?....". He laid a hand on the head of the Hyena girl and petted slowly. It was a sign of dominance. He let his hand slide down her cheek. And perked her chin. Speaking quietly " What do you think poppet?....should I drain her corpse?....Perhaps...I'll leave whats left for you or the others....maybe you'll get some reward for a body~". Jack let out his laugh once again, walking out to the edge of the village, then extending his hands.
The wings of his arch demon form took flight and brought him high into the air. Moving as he was at a renewed speed towards the estate grounds.

Whether or not he answered at this point of time was okay. I had no intention of waiting until morning to go there though. There was always something about fighting at night that got my blood going, and it would be easier to launch a surprise assault on any type of fortified position if it were done at night. While it may be true that the creature possessed a significantly stronger ability during the night time hours, that was in comparison to the land walkers. Taking a breath and waiting for a response, I would dart my eyes across the groups of people, looking for anyone who may seem to be of interest. “I’ll be on the outskirts” Moving as quickly as possible, my body would lift upwards to land on the roof of a building. While I contemplated how long I would actually have to wait for him, I started to think about what kind of beast we were to face. His abilities were quite useful and I had a few separate courses of action, but those were all dependent on whether or not we made it there first. That was, if I didn’t get bored as well. Thankfully, something would catch my eye that I did not expect. Another flyer? "Interesting..." I couldn’t tell if they were friend or foe, but figuring this was the forbidden land that we were not to come to, it would probably be a foe. I had only crossed one dark spirit in my time, and she had been of a decent demeanor. While we both admitted to not being fond of one another, we had shared information and carried on our separate ways without too much strife.
Now, do I wait for the white haired walker, or follow this winged beast? It was a difficult decision, but my impulsive nature would quickly take over. Muscles would flex across my body before those who were inside the building would feel a forced pressure around them. Taking flight, the air would move quickly around me while I shot off trailing the other flyer, which I assumed was a spirit like myself. Hopefully I could keep myself from getting seen if I took a little distance from him.

After sneaking out of the village and making it to the darkness of the outskirts, I would assume that Eri would keep up with me, thus I turn to her and give a short nod before moving forth in a swift run in the direction of our objective. I didn’t really know about the others, but I did want to try to get in and out of there first, hopefully while everyone was still putting a plan of action into order. It wasn’t until I noticed a shadow break the dimly light celestial bodies in the sky that I realized that at least two among those in attendance could fly. I already knew that Little Hunter held the capability whether he used it or not, but with the passing of a dark figure by sky, I knew that it would not bode well for my goal of reaching the finish line first. I give a light “tsk” in sucking my teeth as I continued my run. The fact that someone might get there before us wasn’t the end of the world since there was the chance that they would simply attract any enemy that may be present and protecting the princess. The plan could easily be altered to include a decoy. Also there was no neon sign glowing that said, ‘this is the correct lair.’ From the map it suggested that in Rockland there might be more than one such structure in that general area. Attention would have to be paid to detail, which is probably why the elder suggested moving by day. Still, I was confident enough in my finding ability to come across the described location. I was looking for a large wall containing a large structure with a specific gate, a stone path and dead bodies; I should be able to find something like that and avoid the scenario of ‘sorry but your princess is in another castle.’

After proclaiming my desire to aid in this hunt for there princess I fall silent and wait for the man to finish speaking so I can find out about my new mission. As the request to come forwards is asked I move forwards along with others that had stepped up to the challenge of finding this kidnapped princess. Stepping up I keep my attention fixed on the man that has the information that I need. As the man starts to speak about where the princess is being held I listen intently to the information he has about this mission. I hadn't realized Dravec was here as well until I heard his voice. As Dravec speaks about some plan I listen to his strategy. Remaining silent I wait until Dravec finishes before deciding to speak up, though someone else catches attention before I have a chance to so I m forced to wait again. Though my patients only last a hand full of moments before I let out an annoyed growl, " Dravec. " I say, calling out to Dravec, making my presence known to him if he did not already know I'm here. Slowly I begin to shift, letting out another growl as I start to walk away slowly, waiting to see if Dravec heard me.

My attention had been given to my thoughts as I contemplate a stratagem to be implemented. I elect a basic one over orchestrating some elaborate plan. I saw no reason to rush as there would be plenty of night for me to locate & deal with this creature. As they all rush, I let them. Even Ashurei rushes into the fray after a winged creature. Now that is something you don't get to see all that often. Still I do not rush myself. I pause my thoughts for a moment as I see a male with short white hair walk off with some woman flanking him. If there is one thing that I definitely haven't encountered many of, it is people of either gender with white hair. Still, I doubt it is him.
I hear my name called and the voice gains a glance from me. So he had made his way here as well. I'm pretty sure he's following me at this point. Not like it really matters. Yuki had his uses true enough, so it doesn't bother me. "Yuki... time to move." I would shimmer out of sight and start moving thru the Void. My jumps would move quickly & cover a large amount of ground traveling at about 100 feet or so per jump. Once I arrive on the outskirts of the compound, I would stop to catch my breath. That was a fun little run. You know... I need to learn how to walk further within the Void than I do now. Master would have just appeared here instead of taking as much energy and time as I just had to. Thankfully recharging is a quick ordeal. I search for a tree or other concealed piece of high ground from which I could survey the area and move in stealthily. The others can ejnoy the attention. I prefer to avoid such things.

The word "Master" sounded like music in Iskra's ears sweeter than any nightingale's voice. Master. Master master master. It fit her so well. The demon grinned despite herself. Indeed, she was preparing to lead them out of the village and onto the trail of the captive princess after a brief look at the map and a squint at the odd characters that marked it
That is, until she felt the obvious dark presence growing closer.
She cringed when the pride demon walked past and grew angry at herself for something that was an instictive reaction. Perhaps what she wanted was to transcend her instincts that forced her to recognize rank above all things.
A relief came over her when he expressed no ill intent initially. He seemed content to ask a great number of profitless questions...
...but then the hand descended on her head. It was a possessive gesture, one that conveyed a clear meaning. A pet and an owner. Her mane bristled slightly, raising beneath Jack's hand with each stroke, falling only when pressed by his hand and raising again when the weight was removed. It was the only thing that betrayed her silent resentment. Her face remained neutral, though her eyes were on the ground out of ingrained habit. It was simple to suppress the snarl she felt like releasing.
Even when he tilted her chin up, her eyes never left the village road. Best not to think about it, she decided. Only humans worried about slights they couldn't control.
So he intended to kill the little monarch. That was all well and good, she supposed. The hyena demon had no particular attachment to the idea of bringing back the princess safely, though she imagined in some vague way that it might fetch some larger reward. In that exact moment, she was undecided.
Perhaps when the man walked off a short distance and transformed into a monster, it would be visible why the aloof Iskra had been cowed so.
But one wouldn't have guessed it by how quickly she released her anger after he left, grumbling to her new lackey. "I'll bite off his dick and punch his teeth down his throat."
Oddly enough, she wasn't sure exactly why the dominant behavior of the other demon had gotten to her at this particular time. If they were still in hell, she would've just accepted it without a second thought, yes, but if she really searched her motives, she would've found that her fury sprung from the fact that he was making her look weak in front of Lethe. It undermined her in a way that would be impossible without her underling's presence.
Her blue eyes fell upon the white-haired soldier. "Don't worry. I'm getting him into a false sense of security. He has good senses, though. Will probably find the princess. We should follow. Come on."
She wasn't sure why she assumed Lethe knew how to fly, but she ran out of eyeshot of the village, not wanting to provoke the locals into anything irrational before she returned to her hyena form. With her quadruped body, however, came two ethereal wings that appeared to be made of nothing but winter wind and darkness, constantly shedding ice and snowflakes. Their force was sufficient to propel the beast into the air after the retreating form of Jack.

..The Golden Tonberry ..Lethe, the Cryosamurai: ......All around him the others were beginning to set off upon their journeys. A white haired man and a well endowed woman, two men that took flight like fleeting avians, and a few other people that didn't draw his immediate attention. He was sure that all had varied reasons for taking on this task and they all were capable enough, he assumed, but that didn't deter him any. The only thing this would provide, even if they fail, would be an adequate challenge to gauge their abilities. From there they could determine their weak points and improve upon them.
......Lethe assumed they were all set to go, that is until a powerful dark presence filled his sense. Well, perhaps calling them his senses weren't the appropriate term since it was something bestowed upon him by Samael. And, like clockwork, the entity revealed itself. It was a man, and even if his physical presence didn't indicate it he was clearly strong. That fact was heftily betrayed by his appearance, as he wasn't imposing by Lethe's standards and look more like one of the odd fellows you'd find in a brothel; those odd fellows that were there for equally odd fellows. He forgot the slang term for them, as he tended to stay away from those kinds of people.
......"Demon ..." A rumbling, snarl of a voice echoed once again in the young samurai's head. It was Samael once again intruding upon his hosts' own thoughts.
......Regardless of his initial impression of the - from Samael's own declaration a demon - the man's actions spoke louder than any words. And they were actions that caused the hybrid's blood to boil. Such a pompous, disrespectful action upon his master brought a low growl forth from the man. His eyes narrowed upon the man, and it took all the restraint he had not to strike. Such arrogance. It infuriated Lethe, and within his mind he made himself a promise.
......"Mmm, and this one is more powerful than the girl. You hate him, don't you? Mmm, I want to kill him, Lethe. Will you let me do that? I want to tear out his throat and feast upon his flesh until there's nothing left but his infernal bones." the kamikonjou gave a raspy laugh. "Then we can freeze them; chilled to the bone! Haha! Ohh, even better ... let's bathe in his tainted blood, yes?" the kamikonjou spirit pressed, speaking in an eerily calm tone. For someone who was supposed to be a benevolent spirit of order, he certainly had an unhealthy hatred and fixation for demons. "Let me out ..."
......That would be bad for a multitude of reasons. All the more affirmation of the decision to keep him in, Lethe concluded.
......And it was a good thing in that sense that the demon flew away. Times of emotional distress would bring out the kamikonhou enforcer, and this was no place for that to happen. Besides, it seemed that even if Iskra did not appreciate the man's company, it was an entity she put up with. Probably for good reason, so he'd stave himself from any action unless she commanded.
......"I'll help you ..." Lethe said lowly in response to Iskra's urge to inflict pain upon the man. He nodded silently in agreement with her next deducted and followed her out of town. Not wanting to be left behind, he summoned a gift from Samael and took flight behind her.

The Golden Tonberry
My feet move quickly across the ground as I follow Jyn's path as we sneak our way out of the village and make for the darkness of the outskirts. I trusted him to know take us on the right path. Going after this think at night without any idea of what the area is like seem rather reckless and rather working with each other it seems everyone wants to go their own way but maybe that is the best plan of action. From how the elder hobo talked going in the front gate as a big ground has ended up in failure so far. Besides Jyn and I can get in there and out before the fend even knows we where there... The plan is a little blown when I see the wing shadow on the ground heading the same way. What type of idiot lets themselves been seen in midair like that we they are heading to storm the castle. Well at less we'll have a nice decoy with a kill me sign on their back and it they so how life to save the little princess this green thing. Then it'll be that much easier to steal her from them.

The villagers would be very cautious (and freaked out) @ the people flying around and transforming. That ish ain’t normal!
* Weekend objective 1 – Reach the mansion’s 5-acre estate/yard (not all of it is contained in the weathered map). * Weekend objective 2 – Enter the first floor of the mansion. * Side objective - Take out at least 1 set of assorted npc baddies.
!! – Minor npcs patrolling the ground that you can control in battle situations (no rolls or stamina tracking needed). ?? – Areas of interest that require shinteraction.
When you reach the area contained by the weathered map start to post locations (i.e. K3. It doesn’t have to be exact). If you reach the ?? or enter the mansion then you have to wait on Shin to post (Monday). Oh and there are flying creatures (gargoyles) on the roof that auto attack anything near it in the air. No need to rush, you got all weekend until my next post.

Iskra landed, snarling in the brushes on the far outskirts of the compound with all the enthusiasm of the old world's Division 12 spec-ops soldiers surrounding an opulent demonic terrorist compound in the middle of the desert. Perhaps the road to it was convoluted and covered with wild foliage, but flight nullified many of those obstacles.
However, she certainly didn't want to be seen when she first charged in. Pack instinct dictated that positioning and surprise were important. No doubt the monster would have his guards appointed, if he were a true monster. Indeed, she'd never met a brave monster, or one who was willing to fight every intrepid adventurer who walked onto his property. It was a waste of energy. Such things had to be delegated to the weaker and disposable minions and meat shields.
Speaking of minions, she'd lost line of sight to Jack. He was much faster than her because of that annoyingly powerful transformation, but in turn she was faster than Lethe.
She shrieked out a chuckle, her equivalent of a howl, seeking her friend's presence before she continued.

There was sounds of combat in the distance, it seemed that the others who had undertaken this little jaunt had also encountered some resistance on the ways to the mansion proper. For Jack, his body and enhanced speed gave him a definite advantage over everyone in the field when it came to covering ground and getting inside. There was another guard defending the entrance to the mansion in which he planned to enter through. However considering the sheer difference in power between himself and any of these peons that the monster had placed to guard this ground, tackling the guard and ripping out his insides was hardly a difficult task. Faced with another eviceration of a guard, he trodded inside. Taking his time for now. He was on the lower floor on the inside. Not particularly fussed about just what this place presented to him in terms of threats. The issue was however going to be finding this creature in the first place. Along with the princess. Its where skill luck and sesnes came into it all.
He closed his eyes. Listened. There was little sound in this place bar his own beastial breathing. And then, the sound of a crash of glass. Not sure what it was. However it could have been one of the others entering. Then again it could have been this monster. The uncertainty of this little task was annoying. However at the same time he held no real dispensation towards actually completing it. Royal blood was rare, true. But stopping here to get it was little more than a side note on his true quest. Such was it that if it presented too much trouble. Jack would merely take his own leave. Abandoning it to these others. Grunting. Jack began to move towards the sound of the disturbance. This time not in full pelt run, but at a steady pace that relayed the caution felt. These enviroements were tighter than he was used to when it came down to fighting.
That fact alone made him slightly uncomfortable. The question buzzing through his mind at the moment though echoed the warning of the man who had giveen them this quest in the first palce. This thing was supposedly stronger at night and dormant during the day. Perhaps thats why it had guards. But still. There were other things about this quest that were questionable. Taking it as it was, was not in Jacks nature. And perhaps it was more this curiousity. Than the idea of a rare ingredient. That lured him into staying.

Perhaps Iskra seemed to unresponsive to her lackie. In reality, she was attempting to stay quiet because she saw something really interesting in the air.
"Nar Zanjo?" That is to say, an angel? if a hyena growl could be translated to anything to specific.
Something about the particular spirit in the air caught and held her attention to the point where she could focus on nothing else until she lost line of sight to him behind the roof of the building and subsequently heard a loud crash.
"He's clumsy," she said without moving her canine mouth, her voice materializing from the air as she smiled her delight. "Easy to eat."
Why did she want to eat the distant blond man when she usually left humans well alone? She never questioned her instincts. If she did, she might have realized that the flying man was not human at all.
"Lethe?"
When she looked again, she noticed that the white haired samurai had literally shredded the opposition before them.
"Oh..."
Trotting up to the scene, she walked a large circle around it, impressed, and at length took one of the guards' intestines in her mouth as though it were a string of sausage. "Good work. We can keep moving now."
She honestly didn't feel threatened by anything in the Temple if her underling had dispatched the guards so easily. As she ran, almost playfully, the rest of the man's guts wound out like yarn from a ball and, with a final tug, all twenty-eight feet of the human's intestines broke free of their home, trailing behind her rather festively.
Iskra felt like a cub again. It felt so good to be in her customary form that she threw caution to the wind to an extent.
She ran up a short flight of stairs, passing a number of guards (F12). They took one look at each other and shouted, not seeming to understand that following a wild beast with human entrails in its jaws. They were only two people, but the other guards (F15) decided to provide backup.
She paused on the terrace to notice them coming, but she didn't pause there. Instead, she ran into the great hall with them still trailing her.
One of them had the presence of mind to step on the retreating string of entrails, but this only had the effect of slowing him down and breaking the organ open, spilling mostly-digested food all over the floor of the great hall. His partner got ahead of him.
It was a deadly mistake. The beast growled through the organ meat still in her jaws and brought a great pain over the man, who collapsed on the ground, shielding himself with his arms as though he were being attacked by dozens of teeth (Malady). When the other came, she didn't disable him, she merely cast an ice spell (Frostbite) near his head to cause him to clutch his head. Another spell and he was down and wouldn't look like he was getting back up. The other was dying slowly of the spiritual poison. The other pair were still coming.
Coyly, she retreated to the library, trailing the filth off of the fractured intestines the whole way. She wouldn't be hard to find, but it'd be a good enough distraction for Lethe to sneak in behind them.

..The Golden Tonberry ..Lethe, the Cryosamurai: ......Even for someone that had a value system firmly rooted in one's integrity and honor, there was something about seeing the shredded remains of one's enemies that just did a man's heart good. The blood, the gore, the frozen bits of bone of flesh ... it was all on display and had a certain macabre beauty about it. Lethe stood over his handiwork, holding a certain admiration for it while waiting for Iskra to lead on. He didn't want to do something as presumptive as take point; after all, Iskra was the one who was in charge of this operation and he wasn't about to make a display otherwise. His master, who had become momentarily distracted by a flying man in the sky that Lethe could only assume was a kamikonjou, continued past him, giving him a compliment on his quick dispatch and trotting on towards the mansion.
......Lethe fell in line behind her, taking care to step over the remains of his opponents. For whatever reason he felt compelled to show their remains respect - what was left of them anyway. Iskra's enjoyment of one of the man's intestines wasn't nearly as disturbing as it would have been to anyone else. After all, he was pretty sure he had a mentally unstable spirit residing in his head. Throughout the entire previous display of frozen fury upon the mercenaries, the samurai's kami passenger had expressed a grim delight in what had transpired. Samael, being the spirit of love and care that he was, seemed completely taken with the display. "Oh, my!" He had barked at the sight of the first man yelling it agony and his impending impalement, "I guess he'll just behanging around a bit, yes?"
......If it weren't for the fact that the spirit increased his power to levels he wouldn't have been able to attain otherwise, Lethe would have attempted to get him removed a long time ago. He was far too useful to exorcise, though, and if putting up with his inane ramblings and uncharacteristic bloodthirst for demons was the extent of what he had to deal with, he concluded it was worth the trouble. In times like this Lethe had simply learned to ignore his play by play.
......In his moment of falling lost in his own thought, the samurai had fallen behind his leader. In her demon form she had rushed to the mansion, drawing the attention of four of the guards. All the while Lethe didn't for a moment have any concern for her. This wasn't out of some grim hatred or indifference for her, quite the opposite actually, but because he knew of her abilities. That confidence was rewarded when she made quick work of two of the unfortunately assigned men, and the other two were seemingly left for him. How nice of her.
......Calling forth the elements was a taxing process on the caster's body, so Lethe sought to dispose of them without using such techniques. It was times like these his katana proved it's worth. With the men so distracted by Iskra they didn't even have the slightest hint of awareness to Lethe's presence. He'd trained for such executions his entire life and had done so in innumerable missions. The young soldier moved with quickness and grace, baring down upon the two men with his blade drawn. The cold steel cut through the air en route to it's first victim, slicing through the man's flesh like a warm cleaver. It entered below his ribs, tearing through his abdomen until it's advance was halted by the stout vertebrae of his spin. The blade's bite, as it were, made it all the way to the spinal cord, and even though it had been stopped by the vertebrae it had already made it halfway through. With a kidney severed from the rest of his body and spinal cord fissured, the man was as good as dead. He fell to the ground, unable to move, attempting to writhe in agony as he began to bleed out.
......All of that had been performed in a single swing, which left Lethe with plenty of time for his victim's friend. Lethe, having kicked his first target to the ground and readied himself to strike once again, thrust forward before the man could even turn around. Even if it wasn't made for impalement like other weapons, the appropriate amount of applied force could send it through any amount of flesh, and this moment was a perfect testament to that. The end of the blade entered through the man's back, directly behind his left pectoral, and erupted out the other end. The placement of the strike had been precise, as it had traveled through the man's still beating heart and came out the other end, blood spraying as if it was a fissure near a magma chamber. With a glorious retrieval and brutal kick, the man fell to the ground, dead before his still warm body struck the floor.
......With two bloody kills out of the way, Lethe stepped through the pools of blood and walked up into the mansion, following the trail of innards until he found Iskra. He approached her, arm resting along the hilt of his now sheathed weapon, "You know, it's rude to play with your food."

The Golden Tonberry
Watching Jyn's back, I following after him as we rush the ground for creatures. My arms follow behind my body as my fingers wrap themselves around the hilt of the blades resting across the back of the belt around my waist. The dark form of my body moves quick and silently across the lawn the only sound that come from me other then the crushing of the grass under my feet was the ruffles from a bush as I run pass. I break off from Jyn to pick off the other target creatures that blocked our path to the manor. The twin craved blades, that are listed as katana; b/c the lord of the this great realm doesn't let us come up with our own weapons; are really khopesh blades, stay in their sheath till I am right up one my target. The blades come free and blade storm is unlashed as my body spins and the sing as they cut through the air. Slicing through my target torso before the blades come back around to stab through the back and chest. The creatures body falls to the ground when it is released from the blades sticking through its body.

I allow the limp body in my arms to fall freely to the ground. After it falls down, I look over to Eri after she dispatches two of the baddies on her own. That seemed to be all that were in this area, so with that, we could continue forth to the mansion area. From the sounds and looks of things, others had already entered into it, so we would have to hurry if we wanted to make it there. My sword flicks to the side to remove the blood from it, creating a crimson arc on the ground before it is spin and slid back into its sheath on my back. Moving from that area, I continue to rush towards the enemy lair, approaching it near the veranda where a flying lightning type had already entered into. After reaching the veranda, I would keep below the elevated porch like area to stay out of sight, but I would peer over the edge of the outlet in order to see what the progress of the one who had already entered into the area from the sky. If all was clear, I would pull myself up and onto the veranda, if not I would maintain my current position to judge the current situation.

The hyena snacked noisily on the innards as casually as a human might eat an unusually thick, semi-hollow noodle, her eyes briefly on her minion's bloody footprints before she noticed the pride demon, and she only knew it was him because of his similar voice and aura, arrived.
Very deliberately, she ignored the joke, which wasn't very funny to her as it hit altogether too close to home.
"I suppose you'd be the best at looking," she murmured in a low chuckle. He had altogether too many eyes. She didn't like it.
With a brief tilt of her head, Iskra indicated the doorway from the library to the next room to Lethe. "We will follow him, definitely. The other sections of this mansion might be interesting, but that guy who seems like he'd taste good crash landed over there. We should definitely catch him."
Knowing he would follow, the hyena tilted her head to swallow the last of the organ and stalked off after the black hellwolf-creature, a carnivorous smile splitting her face.

The mansion has a heavy plant presence on the inside. There are roots that cover the floor in almost all areas of the house. The roots all trail back to a deep and dark hole in the middle of the Veranda. After Jack, Ash, Lethe, and Iskra enter the veranda the entrances are blocked with dense spiked/thorny vines (doors, walls & ceiling). The mansion rumbles. Plant roots try to latch onto the intruder’s arms and legs (medium physical bind). A large plant bulb rises from the deep dark hole in the center of the floor. The bulb opens up to two large flowers (one flower face on each side). When they open up a puff pollen flies into the air (STE = Poison, Stun, Fearful. Duration = 3 posts. Aoe spreads over WHOLE room up to 1.5 stories high. Veranda ceiling is 2 stories high).
Note completed objectives in your posts. * Weekend objective 1 – Reach the mansion’s 5-acre estate/yard (not all of it is contained in the weathered map). (Objective Completion Expired) * Weekend objective 2 – Enter the first floor of the mansion. (Objective Completion Expired) * Side objective 1 - Take out at least 1 set of assorted npc baddies. (Objective Completion Expired) * Side objective 2 - Defeat the Plant creature! * Weekday objective 2 – Find the entrance to either the 2nd floor or the basement.

It looked like my attention would not be given much time to focus on the intruders who had joined me here. The strange vines had crept up across the body of the gargoyle, and managed to latch across my legs. When my body went to shift, the same thing would happen to my arms, pulling those outwards. I didn’t look to see if the others were having this same issue, but with my body now sprawled out, I figured it would be the absolute best time to try something new. A deep breath would be inhaled, and held. Four seconds would be passed while four of my internal energy points were rapidly filtering my energy, refining it into a purified, highly stable energy source. The negative charge would be split and relocated into both palms, focused and concentrated. The result would be a glowing ball of blue light that crackled across each of my palms. Rotating them to face forward at the giant plant, I kept my eyes closed and focused solely on the task at hand. “sorry.. it’s nothing personal…” I thought to myself in my head. I didn’t want to harm anyone else, but it may be something unavoidable at this point. “Get inside…Andante.. Flourish!” With the words would come a forces exhale that caused a spark to form across both of my palms and directly in front of my body. A flash of light would move down my arms before colliding with the large amounts of negative energy in my hands. The result was simple, and barbaric. The flash of light would ignite a blast of pure lightning, twenty five yards wide. While it was definitely overkill, it was my first time every pressing it to its maximum and I hoped to the heavens that the others could get back into the house. There was something that told me that the veranda was about to be leveled to make way for my own personal renovation. I had never seen a plant creature of that type before, and hopefully this would help everyone else as well.

Response Post
Plants response vs Ash - Ash finds out that his spell fails o.o. It fails b/c of the STE caste over the area (i.e. stun). He receives -10 HP from the poison and should be able to feel the effects.
