The Morning After the Dawn [Closed]

After returning from Mare Maris and investigating the plague that existed there, Battousai was brought to Jun’Jo where he was able to behold the lands of which Dravec had spoken of with his own eyes for the first time. Judging this area to be adequate, he found himself quite pleased with his cohorts work. The water front property added a bit of tranquility to the area he would now be calling his own. The events of Mare Maris had been curious, but it was passed off as yet another odd occurrence much like the dragon attack or battle with The Dark King. According to the thoughts of the samurai and the being or order deep within him, the land was tainted, and as such, things like this occurred due to the buildup of evil within it.

As far as his health was concerned, Battousai felt that his body was still plagued by an unknown ailment, but through his meditating and internal ki training, he felt that he was slowly recovering from the unknown issue that was affecting him. He would not understand the circumstances that having Jyn exist in a body outside of his own would perform a constant strain on him. Since he hadn’t purposely performed the spell that had given Jyn lease of a temporary body snatched corpse, he wouldn’t know of the constant stamina drain that it was having on his personage.

During the time that passed after their return from the east coast, Battousai and Dravec began work on laying down the foundations for the settlement. As a group who had already assisted in creating one settlement, Battousai felt confident about the second venture into this practice. There were many ideas in his head that came when he looked at the land, but he knew that it would take some work. As the resident map artist, Jyn’s return would be awaited upon, though there was the small fact that Jyn had never been shown where Jun’Jo was. Still, that was a small issue, given the fact that Jyn knew how to get to, and probably was on his way to Theden, which he was with the lovely Eri. Battousai knew that he could go there at any time and leave word with Yuki. As such, the samurai also knew that he was still in the process of being leant the workers whom Yuki had allowed him to borrow, though most of those workers could be classified as his own. Aside from that, Unknown’s ambitions would call for Battousai to eventually seek out Yuki to acquire more assistance in the rapid up build of the area.

Before getting too far into the process of building up the territory that would be known as Jun’Jo, a series of unfortunate events occurred within seemingly all of the realms. A great catastrophe occurred that lasted for about a week. During this process, there were no answers or leads to what was going on. Ominous wings hovered in the skies and Battousai and Dravec had their energy sapped from their bodies. At first Battousai thought that it might be something due to his recent weakness before he noticed that the same thing were occurring to others as well. It was around this time that the consciousness of Jyn remerged with Battousai for some odd reason, adding a very confused entity back into the mental realm of Jin’s World.

The week was hell to endure, and though he had been hardened by a life of battle, the samurai feared that he was viewing the events that would lead to the end of the world. During this time, there was much internal dialect going on within the realm of Jin’s mind with the other personas within who also feared for the worst was upon them. Of course, during this dialogue, Unknown would not be present, as the entire realm of Jin’s fabricated world would consist of Jin, Battousai and Jyneil.

However, it was not time for the world to end just yet. The period of unknown weakness passed on, leaving Battousai and others robbed of the skills he had accomplished up to this time as well as removing his ability to switch out with his host personas leaving them somewhat disgruntled at the series of events. Though he was powerless, he did not feel the constant strain that he had been feeling before the second dawning, rather, he felt oddly ‘normal.’ Aside from being robbed of his powers, life seemed to resume normally with no eerie after effects of the odd events that had occurred; it was similar to the nights of terror that occurred after the encounter with The Dark King. With no recourse but to move forward with everyday life, Battousai spent his days encouraging the workers who followed him; it would be important to at least be secure as a village in trying times, and the samurai felt that work was one way to get one’s mind off of how screwed up the world really was.
