| There was another segment of the army that I felt I should witness in action as well.
This portion of the army had an absent commander. They were ordinarily lead by that odd Run fellow with the horns who often visits people in their sleep, but at the moment he was out of town spying on the red-eyed one who hails from hell. The company is a little under half the size of the thunder rats' as of the time I write this.
No commander really stepped forth to train them, but one of the small, electric spirits mentioned in passing that it might be best if they did work a bit on training themselves so that they could partially match the effectiveness of the larger battalion. This idea seemed sound to them, since they were already at a bit of a disadvantage from their size.
Now there were no thunder rats in this division, but there were demonic entities and what I will here describe as "horses" for brevity, as I'm not really sure what they were. Their practice went off without incident. Rather, they had no strange and dangerous electricity to worry about. This makes for a relatively boring entry.

| Postscript. I did observe a small incident. One of the horses tripped. Its leg was fortunately okay. It would have been horrible if we'd had to put the beast down. A most unpleasant task. |
