| “flee? What?”Turning my attention towards the ground, I would get my first glimpse of something coming at us fast. A casual breath filled with a hint of impatience would press between my lips. Sliding to a stop in the air beside Domen, my gaze would take a shift in seriousness. There was only one demon I trusted, and it pained me to say that I would even think about trusting a demon. That one, however, was standing right next to me. For a brief second, I wondered if he had that same trust for me, or just saw me as a nuisance. Oh well, maybe that would be a conversation for the next flight. “Well look what we have here..friends of yours?”I would laugh lightly, even though I knew the demon wouldn’t find the humor in it. Taking notice his move to the hilt of his blade, it would be safe to assume where this one was going to end up. Drawing my arm forward, I would plant my left hand around my forearm, close to the wrist to balance it. I hadn’t been able to use this successfully too much, but I almost felt a little better of a grip on it. Inhaling lightly, a familiar feeling would tingle in the fingertip of my index finger.. “shall we welcome them?” I’d ask as they gained distance away from the rooftops… “lightning bolt.”

| Up to this point, Domen had awoken early in the morning to travel to the coast where he was to meet up with Sanzon. After speaking with the Kami for some time by the sea, they happen upon the idea of going into the core to check on the old property that used to belong to Sanzon in the previous world before the first dawn. After arriving into the city, it was evident that it was a place overrun by spirits in a role reversal with the time they had come from where Humans were the man populists of the area. After lingering over their particular portion of the city core around the lower commons area, they find themselves under attack by rapid gargoyle creatures of darkness that fly up to make their acquaintance.
Domen’s hand would have moved to the hilt of his blade as the creatures made their ascension. He could hear from the side that the Kami would not be backing down from this fight. Though they didn’t have the tools that they had before, they still weren’t helpless. To the comment of kinship to the particular demons rising up, Domen only answer a serious, “no.” The lightning bolt would crash into one of the winged creatures flying up causing it to momentarily fall out of the sky. Domen would rush downwards, initiating battle as well as he uses the momentum of one of the creatures upward movements against him. Running alongside the creature before it can change its trajectory, Domen slides his sword down the side of the creature, ripping it out of its rear side and casting odd colored blood to the ground as he solidifies his position within the fray of battle.

| As expected of the demon, a one word reply with no sense of humor. Oh well, you win some you lose some. The tingle would disappear with the blue light, leaving a smile on my face at the sight of one of the gargoyles returning back into the shadows below momentarily. I kept my head on, drawing an arm back as I moved forward behind Domen. I wasn’t about to let him get surrounded with no one to watch his back. I would catch the sight of blood spraying across the air before I slid to a stop beside him. Drawing my fists up to my side, the same tingling feeling as before would sizzle across them. We weren’t far from the academy; and there was absolutely no reason for this inconvenience. IT was always amazing how much demons were managed to irritate me at the absolute worst times. I’d keep my eyes on the gargoyle.. things.. that were approaching from below. Matching a punch for a punch, my arm would fly forward towards the incoming fist of one of the creatures. I would take notice that they weren’t exactly demons, and almost resembled something like my counterparts shadowy golems.. only these could fly. As my hand curled fingers made contact with the opposing shadow, I would exhale, releasing the energy in my fist. There would be no chant involved, just a simple breath that would result in the flash of blue. I had hoped to keep something like that as a special case, but it would be necessary to use my own abilities much quicker than normal, and this was the most effective way to assist in our survival here.

| Ooc // You take half of half and get your outcome for channel time.
After cutting down the first creature, another would come from the side. Turning his body, Domen would pull his blade around and into the arm that was reaching out for him, wounding the creature and sending him flying away to put distance between them to wait for a better chance at attacking. By this time, Sanzon’s attack would strike the creature aimed for, and sparks would emit from its body on impact as it is pushed back. With the display of strength from the initial clash, the creatures would rethink their plan of simply rushing in and attacking and would instead now form a perimeter around both the lightning tiger and Domen. They knew that Sanzon could perform distanced lightning attacks, so they were the furthest on his side while they remained within relative range of Domen. Not waiting for them to devise their strategy, Domen would charge into the group closest to him in a move that would allow the golems to separate the two if Sanzon didn’t follow. Slashing at one doesn’t produce good results as the attacked gargoyle baits Domen in and then flies backwards as another tries its luck at attacking Domen from the side. Still, the swordsman wouldn’t be unprepared for this. His body would pivot and strike across the neck of the attacking gargoyle while taking racking claws against his upper arm and shoulder.
Attempting to catch Sanzon off guard, one of the gargoyles would rush at him in a zig sagging manner, mindful of his attack, to distract him as another attempt to attack from directly below. The below attack would be a bit more obvious than the third attack that would arc from behind Sanzon and attempt to attack from above.

| I could almost hear the demons breaths as the gargoyle like creatures surrounded us. It wasn’t like it was an unexpected thing, anyone with a brain would know to surround an opponent to get the best results. With the demon moving n the opposite direction, the only plan of action that came to mind was flipping this situation. In a pistol like motion, my left arm would move forward and I gave the words to signal what was once a trademark technique. “lightning bolt.”. the bolt would sizzle across the air straight in front of me, aiming for a halfway point in the zig sagging motion of the creature. I would follow the bolt at full speed, using it almost as a shield for myself. The point wasn’t to attack it, but to distract its motion and place it in a position to be attacked. As I neared it, whether it would dodge or be struck, my right fist would fly back, then forward toward the creature with the same electricity as I had used before. Now that the other two had been left behind me, taking care of this one would allow Domen and I to now surround them.. assuming the demon was able to take care of his half. Arguably, I had a feeling the demon would tell me I was slacking. While he was, without a shadow f a doubt, stronger than me (which I would never outright admit to him), I had a level head and combat strategy. With my physical attacks severely lacking, I would have to rely on my control of lightning, even though it currently paled in comparison to where it had previously been.

| Domen would feel pain with the passing scratch that he gains in the clash with the gargoyle he slashes to the side. It would be an odd feeling that he would quickly have to get a handle on; previously with his might, he had gotten to the point where he didn’t feel pain, pain wasn’t something that he wanted to enjoy as a human emotion. After fighting off that creature, another is quick to attempt to take advantage of Domen’s blind side. This would be where being able to sense others would help out tremendously. In a ramming manner, Domen’s body is pushed from the center of his back by the weight of the creature slamming into him. As he is pushed forwards, another comes to attack. Regaining his composure enough to lift his sword, Domen thrusts into the rushing gargoyle and turns, pivoting with the impaled creature and flings it from his blade into the one who had run into him. A frown is on his face as he realizes he is not performing as he would prefer to.
Sanzon’s bolt hits the creature in the middle of his movements, causing him to be zapped and stopping his movements for the time being. With Domen still busy on his end, the two beasts who had attempted to attack form Sanzon’s flack, meeting in the middle of top and bottom and rush direction for him around the time that he would be able to turn to face them. One would kamikaze rush him, attempting to cling onto Sanzon, in which case he would wrap his arms, legs and wings about the Kami and then bite down onto his neck, as the other would simply attempt to perform a passing slash towards Sanzon’s face.

| The time it had taken me to get to the gargoyle creature that had been zapped was far more than what I had ever thought it would be. Had this been twenty five years ago, it would have been an instant. This battle also would have been over before any of them made it towards us. Between Domen’s old dark lightning, and my own lightning, we probably would have caused a significant amount of damage to the area in the name of spring cleaning. Getting taken from behind wasn’t my idea of a good time. Neither was getting bitten. Not being able to move properly was an issue, but being able to still make an offensive maneuver wasn’t. Dropping my right hand onto the leg that was wrapped around me, a breath would be quickly exhaled to send lightning into the creature as it bit onto my neck. The force of the shock would probably cause it to clamp tighter, but it would allow me to lean forward, taking the slash to the side of my head and not directly to my face. I could see blood out of the corner of my eye. My blood. It was crimson, fresh, and something I had rarely ever seen. The feeling was different from anything I had ever seen, and was nearly depressing. I would have accepted this coming from Domen, but from a dirty creature like this, it was unheard of. Jerking my right arm up in a folding fashion, I would slam my electric filled fist directly into the side of the head, in the area around the temple, of the creature locked onto my neck, hopefully to knock it free and begin the process of stopping the blood loss.

| The shock and the knock would free the creature from Sanzon as it would have taken substantial damage in the kamikaze attack. It would stagger slightly before attempting to regain its composure. Before it is able to do so, it finds itself rendered asunder as Domen passes on Sanzon’s side and lashes out with his blade across the creature to send it falling to the ground with its right side and wing ripped. Channeling his energy into his right hand, Domen releases his blade with that hand and turns and opens his palm towards the gargoyle that had passed behind Sanzon. With a burst of dark energy, an orb is fired from the palm and towards the creature. On impact, it explodes for a radius of about 5 yards, sucking in two others that were on its side s Domen realizes that he has his magical potential back.
After seeing Sanzon’s ability to electrocute and Domen’s versatility at using a blade and magic, the wounded flock of winged demons rethinks their attack. The core was a place where the strong survived and he weak were consumed, so figuring that the two before them were strong, the creatures would get the picture that they probably would want to retreat. On that notion, one flees before another one notices and then turns to flee as well. Soon, all of the winged demonic creatures were on their way away from the battle and Domen and Sanzon would be left as the victors of this minor conflict.

| Seeing the flash of metal and spray of blood let me know that the demon had joined me. It irked me that he had probably finished off his group and was coming to take care of mine. Swinging my arm around, I would take a deep breath to gather energy in my fist once again. Unfortunately, I would never get the chance to use it. Before I could, a familiar glow of dark hues would move by me, and encompass an area of about fifteen feet. Watching it, I was split between being happy for the demon in regaining his dark magic, and disappointed that he was regaining his strength faster than I was. Curling my fingers into a fist, it would lower before returning up to my neck where the bite had been. It would take some time to heal that. I was more angry that there was blood on my clothes than anything else. A middle finger would be raised to the winged creatures as they disappeared, fleeing from the two of us. “We should hurry, we don’t have much further to go.” Not wanting to look like a wounded animal, I would immediately set off forward, heading directly west, but increasing my altitude away from the rooftops. After all, I wasn’t about to make the same mistake twice. It wasn’t going to be long before the central area of the lower commons would pass, and the academy would be in sight. What had once been pristine white sandstone walls, a large metal gate, and carefully sculpted grounds now looked like a post apocalyptic memorial to the old days.. just like everything else.

| To be honest, Domen wasn’t too pleased with the might of his attack. Though his orb had exploded in an area of effect, he would have preferred it to obliterate his target completely. He was forced to rationalize that he had to take this in stride and gain back his powers one day at a time. Though it had only been a few minutes since he had last tried to use his powers, he thought that maybe the difference in this scenario was the fact that he wasn’t actively trying to use his powers, more so than he just did. Looking to Sanzon, he would catch the need for haste in the Kami’s voice. The increase in pace would be allowed since there was nothing more for them here and the purpose of their presence in this area was to proceed to the point as defined by the Kami. Domen would, however, pause to look over his body where he had been scratched and injured. Hurt was a feeling he didn’t much care for and he focused on attempting to ignore any pain that he felt as he looked back up to Sanzon and allowed him to lead the way to their destination. When the academy came in side, Domen wouldn’t really notice it as he would not have a clear idea of what they were looking for, only he would continue to witness the degradation of the city from what it had once been.

| I felt a strange feeling, almost of remorse, build up inside my chest. It wasn’t that of loss, more than the inability to control what had happened. The bulk issue, to be honest, was that we had failed in protecting our world and some asshole demon decided to go mess things up. Letting my flight cease, I would drop directly out of the air until I halted, and stepped down into the center grounds of the main unloading area. The former Venturion Academy, what was once a pristine, clean institution for had been taken over by tall grass. The cement in the circle had cracked and several patches of grass had spurted up. I would turn, facing the fountain in the center. It had been covered in moss and surrounded by grass. Shaking my head, the rotation would continue until I came to look at the entrance to the academy. The large, white stone steps were still intact. The entrance however, had been caved in. The pillars on the side were in rubble, and the entrance was closed. Brining my attention to the right of it, I would lift off the ground and move up to a small platform, and wall of glass. Whether Domen would follow I would not know, for I was on complete auto pilot at this point. Landing on what had been my former balcony, I looked at the shattered glass door, and the wall see through wall covered with vines. There were no ropes or ladders leading up to here, but I didn’t want to assume that this place was empty. “Domen, half of this facility is an education institute. It’s above ground, and should be well lit right now. The other part, which is for training humans who had control of certain art forms.” I would speak to an empty space while assuming Domen had followed me up here. Stepping into what used to be my office, the once white walls, shiny and clean, were faded and matte. The desk and leather chair had disappeared. My bar was broken, and the contents emptied, while the sliding panels on the wall, one leading down to my secondary office below, and one showing the giant monitor which my computer had been connected to, were still in place. Without power, it would be difficult to get them open, especially if you had no idea where they were. “It looks to be empty.. there is a medical room on the main floor, we can wrap up there..”

| Arriving at the place, Domen would lower in proportional to Sanzon while remaining slightly elevated standing in the air with his arms folded and watching Sanzon’s movements. Looking around the demon would see what had become of Sanzon’s former place of business. After being paused for a moment, Domen would float up towards the balcony and come to land to the side of Sanzon as he attempted to look into the interior of the building. There would be no telling if there were spirits or refugee humans who had found a way into this area and had claimed it. Aside from that, there would no doubt probably be the skeletal remains of those who had formerly resided at this place at the time of the world’s end. Of course, if there were Oni’s who feasted on bones, then those might not be around. Domen’s attention his partially given to Sanzon as he speaks. He simply nods in reference to his words. He agrees that the place did seem empty on the outside, but within the city, it was hard to tell where demons could be lurking. With the mention to the medical room, Domen would allow their progression to that area and follow suite to the main floor. During this time, he would inquire if he should blast their entry in, or if Sanzon wanted to try a door.

| From the looks of things, the main door to my office was still on. The hinges were cracked, and the door was leaned against it upon further inspection. Turning my attention to Domen, I’d give him an easy response. “No, I want to minimize damage to the facilities here.” It almost gave me a little hope that something was left. If the main entrance had been worn down, then I had a feeling that the other entrance at the loading dock may go either way as well. It could be an entrance to the academy, or a former remnant of its previous self. Opening the door, I would slide it to the side. The inside of the academy, which had light coming down through glass covered with vines, and broken patches of open air, would be freckled with dust particles. To the right would be a couple yards before an open staircase that led down to the center of the main foyer. To the right was a hallway that contained administrative offices, and a formal teacher’s lounge. Taking the left direction, I would come to a stop at the top of the stairs. There were pieces missing, but where they had been wooden platforms had been stretched across the small areas. “I don’t think demons would waste time doing that…” On the center of the floor in the center of the foyer, a large, crest was engraved. Part of it had been cracked, but the words were still clearly inscribed. “Patience. Ethics. Virtue.”. I would read them aloud as if Domen was paying attention. It was more of a reminder of how things had been, a little bit of a reminiscent sense for me. Along the far wall were ladders made of wood and twine, and one old metal one that was partly rusted.. “it looks like someone might actually be here..”

| Hearing the decline of force, Domen would accept that as being fine. As such the demon would stand by as the door is opened being slid to the side. His attention would be on the inside of the academy and its rustic setting. Domen would move after Sanzon would have already gone into the structure. Pausing half way, Domen would inspect the door way and then step into it, his arms folded at his chest as he looks around the interior of the seemingly quiet building. After taking a moment to examine on his own, he would proceed with Sanzon to the staircase. The observation was made that there might be someone here, which Domen would think could be feasible given that it was shelter from the outside. Generally abandoned places attracted denizens, or at least hobos. Since it was Sanzon’s place, however, he would be in charge of describing who or what would be in there as Domen would simply be along for the ride on this one having already initiated with the gargoyles. While here, Domen’s mind begins to think about the usefulness of this place and how it could be utilized towards any scheme that he and Sanzon had in mind. Being out here amongst demons without an army of some sort seemed to be too much of a liability unless the area was always as quiet as it was right now. “This place is far from Domenance,” Domen would speak his mind, “and is unclean.”

| “it might not look like much right now, but this used to be a highly scientific institution where I did research on our abilities.” Taking a step forward, I would walk on air across where glass and bronze banister had once existed, only to set down next to the broken crest. My eyes would gaze at it for a moment before the sound of footsteps hit my ears. Turning my head to the right, I’d casually look down the hall that led towards the liberal arts wing of the old academy. Four humans, rather nicely built, were at a decent sprint. Looking them over, I wondered how they got in here if there wasn’t any way to come through the front. It could have been from the back, or maybe it was all caved in and they used the ladders to go through my former office. Either way, I was not too happy that people were occupying my facility without my permission. As they neared the doors, two would draw swords, while the other two drew back arrows. Releasing an arrow towards both of us, the other two would begin their assault forward.

| Unknown to him, this would be the second reference to research on spiritual abilities that Domen would encounter. In the days following this, during his venture into hell, Domen would come across a male demon who also did studies on spiritual powers, probably in a manner quite different from that of Sanzon’s organization. Attention is drawn to those of whom’s attention they had drawn in entering as Domen realized that they were not alone. He would see the archers as well as the swords man who seemed to mean business, asking no questions as they drew weapons. As one of the archers lifts his aim at Domen, Domen would simply lift his palm towards the archer and command, “be gone.” With that, a blast of dark energy would proceed from his palm moments after the archer’s arrow is released, crashing through it and hitting the male who had shot it. There would be an explosion of dark energy for a five yard radius, which may give a ‘push’ to the males running towards them, or cause them to stumble.

| The men would halt in silence at the blast of darkness. The swirl of dark energy would press leave an indentation in the floor, walls, and ceiling. The wooden arrow would disappear inside the energy while the others stopped, sliding to a halt before they too were caught up in the attack. The force was enough to push them backwards, leaving them needing to re think their current strategy. Looking at each other for a moment to regroup, whispers would be given. The explosion of dark energy was enough to handle both of the humans who had charged forward, keeping them at bay for the time being. I wasn’t about to sit here and watch my counterpart destroy what was left of my academy. “Domen!” Taking off following the energy ball, I would move through the dust that had been kicked up from it, emerging as it faded. Being completely upside down, my own arm would press forward as I spoke the words “lightning bolt”. While not as big and impressive as his dark energy, the bolt of blue light would sizzle and spark before igniting across the short space towards the swordsman who was closest. In their steady excavation and exploration of the old academy, recognition of the white haired spirit would be given. After all, his office was the entrance and the pictures that lined the halls outside the office, although old and faded, held images of political advancement. Whether it be pictures with other officials, military people (a snapshot with some police used for security), or the opening of the academy, it was difficult to not place him as someone from the old days. Their weapons would lower. “Ancient ones!”

| The palm is returned into the folded arms of Domen as he realized that his opponents were normal humans. Now that he had gained his magical ability back in a more stable manner, he was able to feel a bit better about encountering those who didn’t have magical advantages. Domen would suspect the calling of his name was either danger or the Kami being over protective about his structure, either way, it would be ignored as the Kami rushes in to bring a conclusion to the current situation. With the mention of them as ‘ancient ones’ it seemed that the enemy did not wish to be aggressive anymore; either way was fine with Domen. Still, he didn’t know how he liked being referred to in that manner, though from their perspective, he could understand how they would believe that he and Sanzon were in fact more aged, if not ancient. The lifespan of mortals was a fickle thing in itself, so something ancient to them might seem rather normal to someone in Domen’s position.
“You’ve lost the will to battle?” Domen would inquire of the humans, questioning their lowering of their weapons to get a verbal confirmation. He would look towards Sanzon who was the best suited for conversation and would allow him to take things over here as it seemed they would now gain greater understanding of what the current situation was with Sanzon’s previously owned land.

| The humans, in the face of the large demonic being, would take a knee in respect. Their weapons would return to their sheaths, and bows lowered before the spirits in the hallway. The images on the halls from the past times, showed a yellow haired man in a white suit with random other beings. Each picture was from the building they were in, only from a different time. A larger man from the group would assist their fallen partner before pointing to the wall where a picture was placed. “You’re from the walls…” ---
I had not been able to get used to two separate groups of humans referring to us as ancient people. The winds of time flowed rather differently for us than it did for humans. Especially when you counted the rate of their normal lives and took into account the lack of time they had to learn and understand the world around them. It didn’t matter what time or world we were in, that would never change. My eyes would move over to the damage that had been done to the hallway. There had been pictures there.. until he destroyed them. I would shrug and sigh as I answered their vague statement. “Yes.. pictures. This is my academy..” Turning around, I’d give a puzzled look to Domen. I didn’t know the moral logistics of it, but I figured it would be best to ask him anyway. We had already come across tribes of people living in a single family home in my old area, but this was completely different. There was no home here, it was a high tech facility of education and research. “Domen.. this isn’t a home or residential facility, is it immoral to kick people out?”

| As the humans prostrated themselves before Domen, he would stand regally in their presence to allow them to worship him if they so felt inclined. As things would turn out, it seemed as if the people in this area were more obliging to people of the ‘ancient’ times. This made Domen ponder if he should simply inform the people of Old Domenance that he is an ancient in the sake that they would act similarly to the humans here and take a knee before him; it would certainly cause things to go faster in his grand scheme of things. It would be food for thought later, definitely something he would want to do at the pinnacle of his strength just for showing off purposes. After all, what good was a god with powers that were within the realm of mortals?
Conversation picks up and it is discovered and Sanzon’s likeness is found on the walls of this area. For someone as vain as him, this would not be a surprise, simply an observation that things were in order. Domen’s will had weaved itself into the workings of the universe to have Sanzon place a picture of himself on the walls in the past for this very moment right now. There was the small fact of Sanzon’s conception which caused him to be in this world for Domen, but that was getting too far back into Domen’s will, which intertwined with the creation of the heavens and the earth.
A question is posed from the Lightning Tiger and audience is allowed to him. The response is immediate as if obvious as Domen speaks, “sheep are to go where the shepherd sends them.” Basically, he would be saying, it didn’t matter what was done with the mortals, since they were human after all. If there were no use for them, then they could either be removed from this world or sent away.

| So this was my problem was what he was basically saying. I didn’t want to leave them here, but I also knew that I would be unable to hold this position right now. It would take a better system of fortification, much like what domen was capable of, to run this part of town. With that in my head, I pondered for a moment while the humans spoke among themselves. If the humans were capable of living here, free of the spirits, then something was going right. I would glance back at Domen with a different type of smile, one that I had rarely ever had. Something peculiar had crossed my mind, and although I hated to do this, I knew it was for the best. “Humans, you have done well protecting the home of those who walked before you. This pleases us, and for your service we offer you our protection. Continue to exist here, and the Ancient ones will reward you.” It was apparently something Domen would do. By rewarding the humans for protecting an area that belonged to us, I would be able to keep it safe, and get the humans to believe. The greatest thing in the world that we could give them was hope, and that was a cake walk. ------
The humans stared at Domen, amazed at his stature and regality Never had they seen someone of such great power. They wondered why there were no pictures of him on the wall, and just the skinny blonde one. They would chat between each other, wondering about this until they were spoken to. At the end of the words, they would take a knee to show their support and allegiance to the two spirits. “We live here.. we will continue to do so, if you allow it.”, said their leader, looking up to Domen. The humans knew we were not going to waste time with combat, and the show of Domen’s strength was more than enough to keep them from fighting back. If they could get in the good graces of that giant being, they could live peacefully.

| Sanzon’s words and actions would be acceptable in Domen’s sight; the demon saw the actions as a very beneficial use of resources. Since the sheep were here, Sanzon might as well allow them to graze while filling in his role as shepherd. With a stern nod, Domen’s acknowledgment of Sanzon’s correct choice is given. The large demon looks down at the ones who took a knee before him; it seemed only natural that they would look to him since he was himself after all. With a nod, Domen would speak, “that will do, humans.” Now that this was settled, Sanzon would have acquired a bit more land and the duo would have yet another area where followers existed. There was the one area in Medius in which they still had to return now that their powers were back. It had been promised that they would return, and Domen would see to that when the time was right. As for his current actions, Domen would linger in this place for a while longer and allow Sanzon to get oriented and acquainted with their new territory unless he wished to go out and survey the land. When the sun began to retreat towards the west, Domen would inform Sanzon that he would be heading back to tend to his own affairs. Sanzon was blessed to have the treat of Domen’s presence and as such, the demon knew that further purpose was added to the Kami’s life.
