Light's Lunch

With they business they needed to take care of out of the way, Yuki's mind had begun to shift to the idea of getting some food in his belly, a thought that made his stomach begin to growl as he moved through the village with Jyn as they made there way towards his house so they could eat. On the trek through the village Yuki would continue to joke around with Jyn as he had been doing through the day, enjoying his time with his friend. When he spots Jyn's house ahead of them, Yuki lets out a soft sigh of relief, " What do you think Eri... er Lightning has made for lunch? " Yuki asks as he glances over to Jyn, saying it now, he again begins to wonder why she had chose to change her name as she did, Jyn had made mention of something about before the dawn and memories, though he hadn't asked about it. " Tell me Jyn, why did Eri change her name? " Yuki adds as he turns his attention back to Jyn's house as they continue to draw closer to it. Having asked, he hoped to get the information from his friend, if he knew why she had done it, before they got to his house so Eri couldn't stop Jyn from answering the question.

EXP: 226

Having caught his breath after their little run, Jyn would walk along side Yuki as they headed towards his place of residence after having traveled to neighboring villages. As his friend spoke to him, Jyn would pause and think for a moment before admitting, “I’m not really sure what she cooks… when we traveled together, we mostly had dried meats and stuff that was light…” After saying that out loud he comments, “I wonder if she can cook.” With the second question, he would shrug slightly and comment, “she said it wasn’t her real name. There was something about her being found by the Al’Bhed when she was very young and they renamed her. I think her memories came from when she held the name Lightning…” He would let that thought linger before adding, “or maybe she just likes the word Lightning and took it as her own.” Since he didn’t know, he would ask, “so with you and Eri… how are you siblings? Like do you know who your mother is, or where you both just raised together since the time you were young?”

As Jyn begins to speak, Yuki listens to him, nodding his head faintly at his friends comment about his sister and the lack of knowledge on her cooking. When Jyn begins to answer him about his sister and why she has changed her name, a frown takes form on his face as he thinks upon what Jyn is telling him. " She can cook, she has cooked for me before. " Yuki says with a faint nod, " It isn't to bad either... " he adds as he glances to Jyn for a brief moment before shifting his gaze back ahead of them. " ... She found me when I was young. Her and her mother took me in and raised me. We aren't blood related but I still think of her as my sister. " Yuki says as they come to Jyn's house. " Hopefully she hasn't burned the food she made. " Yuki says with a soft smile as he comes to a stop and shifts to the side so Jyn can step past him and open the door. Even though he and Jyn are friends, Yuki didn't think it was right to simply barge into his house so he opted to let Jyn go first and follow after him.

EXP: 202

Well it was good news that she could cook and had practice. Jyn would recall her mentioning that she babied him, so perhaps cooking was up there with coddling. He would remain quiet as Yuki explains how they came to be siblings. Jyn had his suspicions that they weren’t blood related, primarily due to the fact that they didn’t look similar in any way; Yuki’s white hair was quite the trait. Jyn thought it would be more believable if he were to be called Yuki’s sibling. Then again, there was the fact that Eri had altered her appearance drastically in the middle of him knowing her for no fully explained reason. Still, in answering his friend, Jyn would say “I see” passively in the background of Yuki’s speaking. Coming to the door, Jyn would reach for it and open it up, revealing the interior of his home to them first as they stepped through the threshold and entered, exiting the outside. Jyn would announce their presence, something similar to ‘Lightning, we’re back’ as the two come in.

When Jyn opens the door, Yuki gazes past it into his house for a moment before following after Jyn as he makes his way into his house. Stepping into Jyn's house, Yuki glances around before shifting his gaze to his sister as he hears her speak up. Turning his gaze from his sister after she brings up the idea of cleaning up, Yuki looks to the bucket of water and gives a faint nod to the advice of his sister as he begins to pull away from Jyn and move over to the bucket. Moving towards the bucket, Yuki sniffs at the air a bit, " Mmm, something smells good and it doesn't smell you burnt anything. " Yuki comments teasingly as he glances to his sister for a brief moment before turning his attention back to the bucket. Coming to a stop at the bucket, Yuki would reach down to the bucket and grab a scoop of water before he brings it up and splashes it on his face and lets out a soft sigh as he begins to relax. " I thought we were going to have to fight those guys. " Yuki says as he glances to Jyn, " You showed them though. "

EXP: 207

Coming into the house, Jyn would see the lovely Lightning crouched over the fire while cooking; it was a welcoming site to return to. Jyn would ignore his current sweaty self for the moment as he assumed he simply looked like he normally did even though they had ran a mini marathon. When the order comes to get cleaned up, Jyn would look to Yuki and say, “oh yeah… he does look kind of dirty… why you sweaty, bro?” As they make it to the bucket, Jyn would grin with Yuki’s words and speak, “well, yeah. I don’t like to release all of my power at once, but it couldn’t be helped. That guy’s going to feel it in the morning.” When Yuki was done with the bucket, Jyn would crouch over it and bring water to his face, wash off his face, neck, arms and hands. In the process he would notice that his shirt was dirty, so he would stand up and pull it up from the bottom and over his head as he moved towards the bedroom where Battousai kept their clothes. Entering the other room, he would wipe his body down with the inside of the dirty shirt before tossing it to the corner of the room. He would then move towards the duffle bag that he used to carry everywhere with him and dig through it finding a new shirt and pulling it up and over his head.

Shifting away from the bucket after finishing with washing up, Yuki watches Jyn for a moment as he listens to him speak, nodding faintly to his comment, " I see.. " Yuki murmurs lightly to his friends comment about not releasing his powers, " And I do believe you are the one that was having a hard time keeping up with me, not to mention tripping over your own feet while running. Really, you'd think a man that travels most of his life would know how to run with out tripping. " Yuki says in a playful manner towards his friend, poking jabs at the fact that he had fallen while they were racing. Shifting his attention away from the direction Jyn had went, Yuki turns his attention to the food, sniffing at the air some as he begins to move towards it. Before he can get to the food he hears his sister call out to him causing him to shift his attention to her. Looking to his sister he lets out a soft sigh, " But the food.. " he says as he looks at his sister, " Can't we talk while I eat? The food you made sells so delicious. " the half-breed says, complementing on his sisters cooking, " Tell me... Why did you change your name? " He asks, getting straight to business.

EXP: 236

After pulling the new shirt on and over his head, he would change pants, since there would be mud marks on his knee from when he fell. As he changed clothes, he thought about the technique that he had performed when he was out with Yuki. It was a small version of the magic technique he, Jyneil and Battousai shared. The fact that he was able to do it like that made him feel a bit more hope about his situation. From what he could understand, his powers were basically reset, and it looked like he would have to train to get them back. This would be his current objective. Though he didn’t like killing people, he was still a fighter at heart. Being at a disadvantage to those bandits put a bad taste in his mouth that he didn’t too much care for.

The smell of the food had wafted into the room, coaxing him to hurry up, so after getting changed, Jyn would make his way back into the main room. He wouldn’t speak on his re entry, but he would see the brother and sister sitting and talking among one another. Upon his entry, he would look for his plate or see if he had to make his own. Seeing the waiting plate, he would make his way towards it.

With a slight grin, Jyn would understand just what he were to refer to Lightning as; though the meaning was different, it seemed softer and slightly more intimate. As per the par for the course, it would give a soft and glowing sensation in his heart. Of course, that’s a bit awkward around her brother, who probably cares for her a lot in a very different way. Looking to Lightning, Jyn would verify which plate was his before reaching down and grabbing it. He moves next to Light and sits down on the side opposite of Yuki and crosses his legs, using it as a place setting for eating his meal. With Lightning moving on with their conversation, Jyn would absentmindedly assume there weren’t in the middle of a conversation already. He would pick up and begin speaking, “…so me and Yuki got attacked on our way back from the village.” He wanted to clarify that they didn’t go to the villages they were trying to get people from and start a fight, but rather they ran into trouble along the way. He continues, “it was three men against the two of us, but we managed to scare them off.” Looking to Yuki, he would realize something and ask, “hey, why did you stop wearing that big ass blade you always carried on your back? If you would have thrown that at them, you probably could have taken out all three at the same time.” Looking down at his food, he notices he has the lion’s share. Grabbing a/the spoon, he would begin to eat, breaking off a portion of the fish to mix with the rice before scooping it up and taking the first bite; “Hmm! Good!”

As Jyn enters, Yuki lifts his gaze to look to his friend for a brief moment before shifting his gaze from his friend as he shifts to grab his plate with the comment from his sister before taking his seat next to her as he grabs the fork and slips a bite of the rice and fish into his mouth and begins to chew on it. With the question from his sister about her name, Yuki glances to her for a brief moment as he swallows the bit of food in his mouth, thinking about her name before he speaks, " I guess... I don't see what was wrong with Eri, was it not a pretty name? " He asks as he glances to his sister once again as he takes another bite, this time taking a bite of fish before he begins to chew it up. " Mmmm. " The half-breed murmurs as he chews up the fish. As Jyn comes to sit opposite his sister, Yuki glances to him for a brief moment before turning his attention back to his food. " This is really good. " Yuki comments after finishing the bite of fish, " And you didn't burn any of it. " He adds jokingly before taking another bite. With the question from Jyn, Yuki glances to him for a moment as he finishes the bit of fish, " Well, I left it at home.. I didn't think I would need it nor do I currently possess the same level of skill that I once had with it, so I don't think I could have thrown it at those bandits effectively. "

EXP: 269

Jyn gleefully enjoys the food which the girl whom he likes had prepared. The fact that Light had made the food made it taste even better than it actually was, but all in all, this was something he could get used to. As he is in the process of eating, he remains listening to Yuki as he explains the sword thing. “Yeah… probably,” he would say between bites, “we’ll have to practice your sword flinging skills.” In reference to Light’s comment, Jyn would insert, “it seemed like they were a few people’s problems before they got to us.” He continues eating with a good head start on making a happy plate, but looks up as Yuki’s food is zapped. The gesture would cause him to grin and chuckle a bit as the food which had been zapped was probably very well done now. Jyn would remark, “it looks like you’re getting your skills back at a pretty quick rate, but I don’t remember you using lightning before?” At least he didn’t think he remembered; the bulk of the abilities he saw Eri use were mostly physical, so that’s what he was used to seeing.

When his sister makes the comment about fixing his problem, the half-breed thought that she was planing to put the food back over the fire to cook a bit longer, though he didn't know why since he was joking when he commented about her burning food. Not paying attention to what his sister is doing, Yuki shifts his gaze to Jyn, " Yeah, we will and the rest of my sword techniques. " Yuki says as he looks to Jyn. With his gaze set upon Jyn, Yuki dosen't notice his sister as she reaches out to zap his fish, though he catches the flash and looks down to his plate tos ee the fish more cooked the nbefore. " Hey.. " Yuki says as he sniffs at his fish for a moment, " I didn't mean burn my food. " Yuki murmurs before taking another bite of his food even though his sister had scortched his fishy. Listening to Jyn, Yuki comes to the realization that he had never seen her do such a thing before either, mostly she was like a ninja person. As he chew his food, Yuki nods his head agreeing with Jyn's comment about her abilities.

EXP: 206

Jyn would look up from his eating with the spoon in his mouth as the ‘I’ would be uttered with not much coherent immediately following it. His brows lift a bit as the spoon is pulled from his mouth wondering why she seemed confused. He wondered if she had used it before in front of him. He did know that he was a bit of an airhead at times and didn’t always remember minor details, so there could be point in case where she simply forgot that she had that ability because she didn’t use it. He wouldn’t put together that she used dark arts before and currently used the element of electricity. Jyn would finish off his plate as she pushes away hers that didn’t seem to be touched. He would point towards it as if to say, ‘you going to eat that…’ but would soon become worried because Eri didn’t seem to be doing too well. As she leaves, Jyn would frown slightly , worried about her and would turn to look to Yuki as if saying ‘that just now was your fault.’ Of course, it would be his, but Yuki had been there too. Jyn wouldn't stop or follow Light, since he didn't want to crowd her while she requested space. Moving along in the conversation, Jyn would reach over and grab her plate, but remembering that Yuki’s food was burnt, he would offer, “you want some of this?”

Lifting his gaze for a moment, Yuki looks to his sister as she begins to speak, however she cuts herself short and falls silent, looking to him as he looks at her. Looking at his sister Yuki waits for her to say something else to him but her silence remains for a moment or so before she finally speaks, though it didn't seem to really be directed at him and as she continues she seems to change as she speaks of being tired after pushing her plate away. Worried about his sister Yuki frowns softly as he watches her, " Are you ok Eri? " He asks as he watches her head off to her room. Once she had disappeared, Yuki shifts his gaze and glances to Jyn for a moment as he wondered what was wrong with his sister. Had he said something to upset her or Jyn or perhaps the two of them together... Like Jyn, Yuki made no attempt to go after his sister and stop her even though he wondered if she was alright, instead he remained where he had sat. When the question comes from Jyn, Yuki glances to the food for a moment before shaking his head, " No, you can have it... "

EXP: 213

Looking between the food and his friend, he would shrug at the denial of the sharing and lean back up as he pulls the plate back into his lap and begins to eat from it. It seemed like things had just gotten weird there for a moment, and Jyn thinks about this as he eats the cooking that Eri had prepared for him. Knowing that he wouldn’t leave things like this, he would wait a few moments before sitting the half eaten plate of food down. With a slight sigh, he would stand to his feet and dust off his bottom as he looks to Yuki and speaks, “I’ll be right back. I know Battousai has some stuff he wants to do with you in a little bit. I’ll just be a second; I’m going to make sure that Eri… or rather Lighting… is okay.” With that, Jyn would await some type of confirmation if it were to come before he would simply make his departure from the fireside in the living room and head down the hall to the room where Lightning should currently be.

Coming to the door, Jyn would raise his hand into a fist and knock a couple times at it before pushing it open softly. It if weren’t locked or had something pushed up against it, he would enter into the room with his gaze seeking her. As he came in, he would speak, “hey… I just wanted to check on you before we headed out again…”

After answering his friends question, Yuki turns his attention back to his food and takes another bite as he falls into silence. As Jyn begins to stand, Yuki lifts his gaze to glance to him for a moment, wondering what was going on, though as Jyn begins to speak Yuki see's that perhaps Jyn wished to check on Eri and that his sensei wished to do some things with him. Looking up at Jyn, Yuki gives a faint nod, " Alright. " He murmurs with a mouth full of food before turning his attention back to his plate. Though Jyn seemed to be going after Eri to see what was the matter, Yuki decided to stay behind and simple wait to see if she would speak of what was the matter or hear it from Jyn if he found out. Now that his sensei had been brought up, Yuki begins to wonder what stuff he wanted to do, Jyn hadn't mentioned anything though Yuki didn't think he would since sensei probably didn't tell him aside from the desire to see him. With Jyn gone, Yuki sets his full attention upon the last bits of food on his plate to quickly finish off the rest of his food.

EXP: 213

The soft push would be met with resistance, as Jyn took that as a sign not to enter into the room; thus his hand would lower and he would simply stand in front of the door. His gaze snaps up in surprise as her tone is harsh with him. He attempts to figure out what he did wrong in the situation, but she didn’t seem like the type to say one thing and want another. He knew her, thus far, as being pretty straight forward with her wants, and had the understanding that if she said to leave her alone, then she probably meant it. With that, Jyn looks at the door and then turns to walk away. He pauses as the question is asked and turns back to the door answering, “of course. I just have to let Battousai do some stuff during the day, then I’ll be all yours this evening and through the night.” After that, there seemed to be silence on the other end, so he would assume that she heard him and just didn’t answer. Turning, he would have his back to the door for a moment as he thought about her; he did remember that there were some things going on with her, her memory and the ‘other self’ that was recovered when she changed her name. Internally Jyn scolded himself for not being attentive enough to her feelings, but left it at that as he walks away, through the hallway and into the main living area. Looking to Yuki, Jyn would rub the back of his neck and ask, “well… you ready to get out of here?”

Having finished off the rest of his food, Yuki sets his plate aside as he waits for the return of his friend. As he waits on Jyn's return, Yuki shifts his gaze as he glances around for a moment while he wonders upon what his sensei could want to do, did he wish to train today or where they going to go out and do some other village related business. The spectrum of options at hand where rather few given the relationship between him and his sensei, it wasn't like Jyn where they simply go to hang out. Either way, Yuki knew that he would have to wait until he seen his sensei to see what they are going to be doing. As he waits for Jyn, the half-breed also keeps an ear out to see if he can find out what is wrong with his sister though he wasn't sure if Jyn would find out and if he did he may not tell him. Upon his friends return Yuki lifts his gaze to look to Jyn as he arrives back into the living area and when Jyn speaks, Yuki gives a faint nod. " Yeah. " Yuki answers as he sets his plate aside before he begins to stand, " I guess she didn't tell you what's the matter? " he asks as he looks to Jyn.

EXP: 222

Jyn would wait for Yuki and when the question comes, he would shake his head and sigh, “I’ll find out later. I’ll just give her some time to herself…” With that, Jyn’s time had pretty much come to an end and Battousai had grown impatient of having to wait for Jyn to handle his business. Jyn would hold out his fist towards Yuki in a fist bumping gesture and speak, “I’ll catch up with you tomorrow, probably, okay?” He would wait for his friends reply before forming a hand seal at his chest and speaking the command to switch. With that, his body would take on a light glowing aura and in a burst of radiant light, he would transform from Jyn to Battousai. As such, Jyn would be there no more and Battousai would be. Looking up to Yuki now as Battousai, the samurai would comment, “now is a good time to start the day.” Since he had been kind of with them since the morning, he had a fair idea of what had been going on thus far. He would speak, “good work this morning.”

As Jyn begins to answer his question, Yuki listens and gives a faint nod, it seemed like Jyn he would have to wait till later to find out what is wrong with his sister. With his gaze still on Jyn, Yuki watches as he brings his fist up, something Yuki glances down at for a brief moment before he brings his own fist up and lightly strikes his fist against Jyn's as they do a fist bump. Bumping fists with Jyn, Yuki gives a faint nod, " See you later, take it easy. " Yuki says to his friend as he lets his arm fall back to his side as he watches Jyn preform a hand seal on his chest. With the burst of light Yuki shuts his eyes for a brief moment before opening his eyes again and as he reopens his eyes he is greeted with his sensei standing before him. As his sensei speaks, Yuki gives a nod to starting the day, his wonder as to what they will be doing begins to grow now that his sensei had made an appearance. When his sensei comments about this morning, Yuki smiles faintly at the praise from his sensei, " Thank you, though Jyn is the one that did all the work. Tell me sensei, what are we going to be doing today? "
