There was silence in his madness now. A silence that seemed to encompass everything in his life. Thats what he had called it that day on the hill. The silence that came after the time he spent in that place. There was warmth curled around in his lap. He’d found her again, his companion. An eternal friend though the problems of life and death. Mittens the kitten. The little black cat. Was it truly her? He THOUGHT SO, SHE was snuggled in purring true it could have been any cat but few cats shared those eyes that Mittens had taken with him. The yellow eyes of madness that marked them out as kin with one another. Cat and master. Friend and friend. She seemed no different from the day that he had last seen her, the day of the story and the day of the fire. Wandering out into the rain to seek out company that simply was not there.

Yes he remembered that. Remembered it now. A hand stroking, another purr coming through. In the end there was the oath and the oath had been everything. It was after all, of his own doing. He had known had warned himself about such things happeneing. And really already knew such things were inevitable. Pennywise was not one who normally had his feeling shaped by words or by people. They were selfish. But then those thigns had been tken away by the silence. The azure darkness of the ocean that took him. And now here, was it a time for a new beginning. Or was it simply time to shape himself from what he knew. A steady grin climbed his face as the roads spead out before him.

Possibilities. Choices.

Chaotic. Mad. Endless.

So now there were roads in front of him and bo was he one hell of a walker. Mittens liked to travel to and well that was just damn didly perfect considering their relationship. He had shoes and they were indeed made for walking. He had found about as much as he could about the little world from the people who were living in the city. Now it was time for him to break out of this urban jungle and make his own way in the world. Find out what he wanted on his terms and to hell with anyone who would get in the way of that. Of course, that was everyone but the boss lady. And of course that was entirely dependant upon them actually finding each other. Although part of him figured that she wouldn’t actually be looking, she would be more interested in finding player than her loyal little hell hound. And secretly that suited him just fine even if it did go against his oath. Well not entirely but it treaded on that fine line.

Well there was wiggle room couldn’t really call it a direct movement against company protocol. His travels of course simply be excused s searching. Which technically he would be. Albeit enjoying himself wall the time through. Eating new foods meeting new people. Eating enw people (both ways in the cases of the ladies). Rawr. Mittens meowed causing him to look down at her cute little black furry face. Awww look at that. She was just looking so forward to this little trip of theirs. He stood up and wondered with the cat by his side. Just which direction would he start walking in first. The last he remembered this city was directly in the middle of any kind of map, so really the choices were narrowed down to well...any of the four directions. No doubt that he’d end up somewhere regardless of what area he moved into. He put a thumb into his mouth an bit on it in a moment of indecision.

Not quite sure where hew as to go next, and whilst staring off into the distance, Mittens seemed to have made the decision for him. Moving eatwards towards what he wouldn’t know was the costal regions. He smiled and looked down at his little cat.

” Good work Muttl-er Mittens”

So on the road gain, the mad man and his animal companion. Seeking out god knows what in who knows where. Admittedly whilst Penny was disappointed that Mittens hadn’t became the matriarch of some kind of super race of cats. He was glad to have perhaps his only true friend in the world back. Especially after how they had parted. In the end it seemed that everything had been smoothed over. The two were inseparable even at the worst of times. And honestly he didn’t know hwo he had functioned without her constant reassuring presence. Well, there was an answer to that. The boss.

There had been something there between the boss and him back then that he thought he could have called love. But well really there was no such thing as love for him. He was a creature of fleeting emotions and such things were frivolous at best. Maybe he had felt something for her. Maybe. But he was a ghost. Touching peoples lives but never really making much of an impact upon them at all. He had entered into this knowing just where it would have ended up and he couldn’t really say that he was disappointed with the turn out. After all, what else could it have turned out like? No one could love a mad man. At least not for long. He had served his purpose for her emotionally. Helping to heal her wounds and such and now it was time for her to attempt shit with player again. Go her. Shame for toots though.

“ So yeah Mittens turns out you were right...well we were right...Shiori folded...”.

Mittens followed with a meow that almost seemed to say. “ Well duh”. He scratched the back of his head and looked ahead once more. “ Well yea....still I suppose we’re kind of tied to this train wreck none the less....just got to ride it along till it falls of the tracks....but first of all we gotta find the train...”. Mittens looked up at him semi confused about just why her master was comparing a female to a train. Certainly she wasn’t going to appreciate that comparison if it was given to her. He let out a smirk thoughts jumping to something else.
