Penny was doing one of his darker tasks as Wiseman at this point. There were things that he did for the Kyro corporation that normal people wouldn’t really consider...kosher. Of course Shiori couldn’t know about it. Thankfully his nature prevented him from feeling such things as empathy towards the subjects of his darker deeds. There were a lot of thing that went on in corporate life that the big wigs couldn’t have their hands dirtied in. They needed plausible deniability. And he could live with providing that. The butterfly knife in hand, broken legs of his victim as he answered each question. Some questions didn’t require much coercion to wet the lips. Other questions though seemed to be...difficult to drag out.
What he had learned thus far however was that before he had awakened Medius had been somewhat of a horror zone. Ruled by some guy known as the Dark king and his army of well his victim didn’t much seem to know about any of that. But he was getting as much information as he could about his surroundings and the world outside. Although it seemed those poor people that had been ruled by this dark king of theirs didn’t make it out of Medius much, spending their life for the most part in hiding. Although there was some information. A town on the coast, a large city growing led by a Kami. Other than that though. Dissatisfactory.

“ Yeah he was, but we’ve not seen him or those monsters lately”.
The man was breathing hard, not much use on the information side. But it was something if nothing else he at least knew of some history going down in this new, abandoned by god world. Penny flicked out his knife and walked over to the guy lying down, sitting next to him and tipping his hat with the hand of the left, whilst spinning the butterfly knife with the one on the left. “ Well I must say you’ve been quite good in giving me what information you can...but theres still one unfortunate bit of business that we need to take care of...”. The man looked up. “ What?”. Penny stopped the twirling. Grasped the knife and jammed it into the chest of the wet lipped man.
He petted the man on the head as the light faded from his eyes. Suppose now he would have to destroy the evidence. Part one of that already done. Silence anyone who could link him to these illicit activities . Although, disposing of the body wasn’t going to be so easy. Didn’t really know fire magic. And the buildings were more or less already destroyed. Eh, who would bother. This was apparently a dog eat dog town. People would die all the time in that kind of situation. So why bother. With a quick exit out the back route just to make sure no one saw him. Penny headed down the side streets. Next objective. Gather further intel on the current status of things within the city.

As far as further intellegence gathering went things were mostly hampered by the fact that this place was indeed a post apocalyptic waste land. There fore one had to expect that it was going to be difficult to actually find people to extort in the first place, those that wern't any good at hiding would have no doubt died out long ago, which left only those who were practically invisible to everyones dull as dish water basic senses. That was another issue with the power loss. Getting back his spirit senses. Now that would make tracking them all down a HELL of a lot easier. But as for the moment he was stuck with his normal senses which left him with but one choice. Trap and grab. The last guy had been a bit of a fluke as he had beeen kind of wandering around looting buildings, probably trying to find a rat to roast or something along those lines. Which meant that his best chance at grabbing someone was more than likely going to be if he had some kind of bait. He had to lure them out into the open.
Damn this was begining to become too much work. Penny remembered the days that he could just go and order Jonah or some other demon in his legion to go ahead with that. But no no. His legion was gone. Gera'Sey more than likely a ruined desolate waste much like this city.
Back to getting his hands dirty. Still. There was a sort of cruel satisfaction to it.

Short of it he managed to russle up something. A little trap. He'd found himself a dead rt and whilst it didn't look all that appetising luckily he still had his good old lighter, not that it was going to do much good in this world once it ran out of the juice. But it was enough to get a small fire going with a bit of peeled rat on the rotissary. He wasn't much of a cook he'd be the first one to admit that, but the smell of sizzling meat would no doubt be enough to bring a small ammount running. Likely they'd be suspicious at first but hunger often overwhelmed even the smartest of people. So he hid himself among the rocks, and waited. It was about fifteen minutes before he got his first victim of the day, wandering into the building led by the smell like a fish on a hook. He waited till they moved towards the room where the rat was, then snuck up behind as they entered the doorway. And put the first one into a sleeeper hold. Then once he was satisfied with that. Put them in the corner.
This process was repeated about three times. After which he took the rat off the spit and chucked it outside. He used vines that had grown on the buildings as rope and tied up his three victims. They did of course reach conciousness before he started. And that was the good part. Foot on an old rotted wooden stool he looked up at them with a malevolent grin. Flicking the butterfly knife into a clear bladed position. "....Well boys and girls...listen up because I'm going to test you on this....you are going to tell me everything you know about this city....so..". He lowered his hat. Eyes gleaming from under the shade.
" Lets get started shall we?"
