i don't think you need DMG on mech projectile based techs since the dmg is based on the bullet, etc. i think the last ruling on that stuff was that you'd have to use magic to augment the dmg on a mech projectile so that means no tag needed for a normal shot but a mag tag needed to make it do anything that the gun wouldn't normally do now then! suggested approved versions are below

Double weapon melee is bout 10 feet, so the range is bout the same the dmg wouldn't be based off the gun b/c it's a force

So I asked Kyro about the DMG tag on the Mech weapons and from how I understood it is that you still need the tag for it to show STA cost but DMG is capped to whatever the weapon dmg tag is. So get get like a DMG+1 it would need to add a magic DMG tag.... I think. still not really sure.

I like this one better good job old man. sword is a midsize weapon wouldn't double weapon melee be 15 feet?

Not really want I wanted but I'll take it. Was really look for something that just takes an item away from someone ie. Ripping someones sword out of there hand. There are no rules on stealing so I saw that as being a bind as it would be my STR vs There STR if I was using Force or my DEX vs there INT (Or something) if I was doing a bump and run trick. I am sure that I could just do that following the site Holding rules but some ppl like to cry when you don't have a tech to do something. Maybe we need to add Steal to the Special Abilities list with Barter and Building.
