what are PM's?

The private messages that go to a person's inbox. Only you and that person can see them so it doesn't clutter boards and if there are secret plots brewing, it's a good way to keep track of them since messenger can have random convo stuff cluttering it up.

It is. You don't have to designate Open, only closed.

You can jump into any thread so long as it doesn't say "Closed" or a specific person's name or something like "Job thread"

Relatively sure I'm allowed to RP now, so if people want to play with the new guy, I'm all for it- provided it doesn't lead to my untimely demise. I'd be somewhere in Medius- whether it be Rockland or somewhere near the Core District.

As was explained. Shin rarely does anything at the weekends. Be paitent. He'll get to it on monday. In the meantime, do what I'd do. Write up a training post/backstory and wait till tommorow to post it.
