| | With a soft sigh the child gazed down range at the human shaped target that had been made up for the archers to shoot at when they practice, though instead of standing on the side lines and watching the archers as they pratcied it had come time for him to learn how to use a bow and join the ranks of the hunters that go out into the forest and hunt for food for the village and other things the village needed to survice. " Are you listening hunter? " A middled aged man says as he looks at the child, " Now isn't the time for day dreaming. " the man barks at the child as he gives him a soft glare. When he heard the man speaking Hunter's attention quickly snapped to the man and as he makes the comment about day dreaming a frown takes form on the childs face as he casts his gaze to the ground, " I'm sorry... " the child murmurs lightly as he gazes at the ground. The man lets out a soft sigh as he looks down at the child, " It's alright Hunter. Here, take this practice bow and some arrows so we can begin. " The man says, offering Hunter a bow along with some arrows. Lifting his gaze Hunter looks to the practice bow for a brief moment before he reaches out and takes it from the man along with the arrows as he gives a faint nod. One Hunter had taken the bow from him the man lets his arm fall back to his side as he watches the child, " Alright now let's begin. First we will start with how you hold the bow. I want you to hold it just as you have seen the other archers. " The man begins, instrcuting Hunter on how to hold the bow. Hunter takes the arrows he was given and slips them into his quiver as he gives a nod to the instruction the man is giving him and he brings the bow up and trys to hold it as he had seen the others hold it while practicing. Once Hunter had took hold of the bow the man begins to move around him, inspecting the way the child is holding the bow. Spotting something Hunter is doing wrong the man comes to as top and reaches out, " Like this. " He says as he adjusts Hunter's arms so he is holding the bow properly. When the man takes a moment to correct how he is holding the bow, Hunter nods and trys to remember the correction the man had shown him so he can hold the bow properly next time. With a faint nod the man begins to move once again, " Good. " He says as he slowly walks around Hunter. " Now take an arrow from your quiver and knock it on the bow string before drawing it back, but don't fire just yet, alright? " The man says as he watches Hunter.

| | Hunter glances up at the man for a moment before he turns his attention from him as he reaches back to the quiver on his lower back and grasps one of the arrows he had put in the quiver and pulls it out before he brings it around and knocks it on the bow string as he lets the arrow rest on his hand gripping he bow. One he has the arrow in place Hunter begins to draw it back and as he draws it back he can feel the strength of the bow, even though it was meant for practice it still took a bit of strength to draw the arrow back. The man remains silent as he watches Hunter as he knocked the arrow on the bow string before drawing it back on the bow. Hunter draws the arrow back as far as he can as he takes aim down the arrow shaft and aims at the target. As Hunter begins to take aim at the target the man speaks up again, " When you take aim, try and aim for something vital alright? " the man says as he watches Hunter. Gazing down range at the target Hunter listens to the man and as he gives him advice a frown forms on Hunters face once again, " But it's not real so it doesn't have anything vital to aim at... " he says as he glances to the man for a brief moment. The man lets out a light sigh at Hunter's comment as he shakes his head faintly, " You have to think of it as a living being and aim for its vitals... Think of it as an deer and then aim for where you would want to shoot the deer to bring it down. " The man says with a faint nod as he looks at Hunter, trying to get him to visualize the target as a deer. Hunter keeps his gaze on the man as he speaks and he listens to him as he gives him some advice. Once the man finishes speaking Hunter shifts his attention back to the target as he thinks on what the man had said, Hunter gives a nod as he gazes down range at the target once again, " Ok. " he murmurs lightly as he gazes down range at the target and thinks of it as a deer just as the man had said. Not being a hunter like the others, Hunter didn't know exactly where to hit a deer to bring it down so he decided to target what would be the head. Shifting the bow, Hunter takes aim at the head of the target, or at least what would be the head before he releases his grasp on the bow string and arrow. As he releases his grip on the arrow the bowstring takes over and pulls forwards under the tension and as it does it it strikes the inside of Hunter's uncovered forarm as it quickly rockets forwards launching the arrow down range at the target. The arrow its self is launched from the bow, though Hunter's aim is not exactly true and the arrow goes flying past the 'head' of the target and lands in the ground not far behind the target.

| | When he released the bow string and shot the arrow, Hunter had no idea what would happen next and as the bow string strikes him in the arm it causes him to inhale in pain as the bow launches the arrow, however instead of focusing on the arrow and the target Hunter focuses on his arm as he lets out a groan of pain while dropping the bow. The man watches Hunter as he takes aim at the target now and when he fires the arrow he watches Hunter still instead of the arrow. After Hunter had fired the arrow and been injured by the bow the man lets out a soft sigh, " Are you alright Hunter? " He asks as he kneels down next to Hunter and grabs his arm to see how bad it is hurt. Hunter looks to the man as he speaks up and when he kneels and grabs his arm Hunter makes no attempt to pull away, " I think so... It really hurts... " Hunter says as he looks up at the man. The man looks at Hunter's arm but lucky it was only scraped up a bit from where the bow string had caught it and there was no serious damage. " It look fine but if you want we can take a break and have one of the healers put some ointment on it. " The man says as he looks to Hunter. Hunter looks at his forearm, his gaze shifting over the injury for a moment before he shakes his head as he lifts his gaze and looks back to the man, " I think I'll be alright we can keep practicing. " Hunter says with a soft smile as he looks at the man. As he hears Hunter's response the man reaches out and lightly pats him on the shoulder as he gives a faint nod, " Alright we can continue practicing then. " the man says before he pulls his hand from Hunter's shoulder and stands back up. Stepping away from Hunter the man turns his attention back to the target, " You missed the target and your mark. Where exactly where you aiming for? " The man asks as he looks down at Hunter. Hunter looks to the man as he steps back and when he begins to speak about how he had missed the target and where he had been aiming Hunter turns his attention back to the target, " I was aiming for the head.. " He says as he looks down range at the target. The man gives a faint nod as he listens to Hunter tell him where he had been aiming and as Hunter tells him where he had been aiming he understand partly why the child had missed his mark. " I see. " The man murmurs lightly as he gazes at the target for a moment longer before he turns his attention back to Hunter. " You shouldn't aim for something as small as the head. The head of a target is not going to be that large and because of that it is harder to hit. You should try to aim for the chest of the target instead of the head. You can still bring a deer down if you hit in the chest, all you have to do is get its heart and even if you don't kill it in one shot you will wound it and it will still succumb to its wounds. "

| | As he listens to the man Hunter picks the bow back up and looks down at the target for a moment, his attention going to the head as he looks at it before looking at the rest of the body and the size difference between the head and the rest of the body. Looking at the head Hunter seen the mistake he had made when trying to hit the target in the head since he is just now learning how to use the bow, however it did feel familiar to him but he understood that hitting the target in the head would take practice. " Ok. " Hunter says with a nod as he reaches back to his quiver before taking hold of another arrow. " This time I will try and hit the target in the body. " He says as he pulls the arrow from the quiver and brings it up before knocking it on the bow string and drawing it back. As he draws the second arrow back Hunter sets his sight and attention upon the target once again as he shifts his gaze over the target for a brief moment before fixating his gaze upon the target's chest like the man had said. Once he had the chest of the target with in his sights Hunter releases his grasp upon the bow string and arrow, again loosing another arrow at the target. As it had one before the bowstring rockets forwards and launches the arrow from he bow and through the air. The arrow flys through the air and this time it strikes the target in the chest though Hunter was not aiming for a specific area of the chest but to just hit the target instead. After Hunter had fired the arrow the man shifts his attention to the target and as he sees the arrow had hit the target he gives a faint nod. Having not expected the arrow to hit the target given the first shot, Hunter is pleased as he gazes down range at the arrow he had fired, stuck into the chest of the target. " Yay! " Hunter exclaims in happiness as he looks down range at the arrow in the target. The man shifts his attention back to Hunter as he nods his head faintly, " Good job Hunter. Now, let's see if you can do that again or if you just got lucky with that one. " The man says as he watches Hunter. Hunter looks to the man and smiles at the praise of doing a good job and as he brings up shooting another arrow at the target he was already up for the challenge and gives a faint nod as he turns his attention back to the target, " I bet I could hit it with four more arrows. " Hunter boasts as he looks down range at the target. The man smirks at Hunter's boast, " Is that so? " The man says as he looks down range at the target, " Well if you think you can do it show me. " he adds as he looks back to Hunter.
