Settling In

As the sun shined down upon the retaken village during the middle of the day Yuki slowly shifts his gaze as he scans the area for a brief moment while letting out a light sigh. He had managed to accomplish the task set before him by a group of unknown individuals when they had asked him to retake there village back for them. Though, now that he had put so much effort into this task the half-breed wasn't sure if he could just simply up and leave it all behind, not after he had risked his life in order to take the village back for JayZee and the rest of her clan. But the half-breed wasn't sure if he should completely settle down in this village, after all there was still many things to do in the world and fun to be had. This train of through brought the half-breed to an idea, given the fact that he had taken this village back and that perhaps later another force may attack and try to take the land, which is something Yuki wasn't sure he would let happen given he had put himself in harms way to take the place back already. With these ideas in mind the half-breed nods his head faintly as he comes to the conclusion that this will be where he sets up since he has been in need of somewhere to set up shot so to speak and this seemed like a good place to do so given what he as done to retake it and one cannot forget the locals, which are a big plus.

As the order of events would have occurred, Jyn, Dravec and Yuki would have come upon a group of hot women hailing from a sacked village. A deal was stricken with Yuki’s loins and seed as the tender and the group progressed to the former lands of the hot elfish women. Though a trial by fire, Yuki seemed capable of retaking the village and with the bandits cleared form it, it seemed like this area was ripe for the taking with him leading it.

The night and morning had passed and the mid day brought with it the continued clean up of the previous night’s activities. In the wake of Yuki’s attack, there were dead bodies that had to be either burned or buried. Any damage to the structures during that time would need to be tended to sooner or later and the followers that Yuki had gained would need to resettle into their former homes with the victory of their re-conquest.

Battousai would be standing next to the largest structure in the village. Though it held that title, it didn’t mean the structure was that magnificent; it was still a small building, though it seemed to belong to the former chief of the tribe. His arms are folded as he looks over it, standing in the village, somewhat in thought to himself. For the time being, Dravec would be on recon, and Jyn’s party of ten would be assisting with the village clean up.

Now that he had come to the conclusion of setting up shop here Yuki knew that he would need a place that he could call his own. Again Yuki shifts his gaze as he begins to glance between some of the structures in the village as he starts to ponder on what he should be looking for, though he isn't exactly sure what kind of building he is looking for. With another sigh Yuki begins to move forwards, his gaze slowly shifting as he glances around the village. " That one? " Yuki asks himself as he sets his gaze upon one of the buildings, though as he shifts his gaze over it he shakes his head, " No not that one. " He murmurs lightly to himself before turning his gaze from the building he had been looking at and to another building. As he searches Yuki shifts his gaze from another building and brings it to rest upon his sensei. Upon seeing Battousai Yuki pauses for a moment as he comes to a stop, looking at his companion for a moment before he finally calls out to him, " Sensei. " Yuki calls out to Battousai as he begins to move once again and starts to move towards his companion. " What are you doing sensei? " Yuki asks Battousai as he shifts his gaze over the male for a brief moment before turning his gaze from the male and glancing to the building Battousai is standing close to.

The call hailed from Yuki causes Battousai to turn and give his attention to Yuki. Pivoting at the waist, Battousai’s upper half curiously shifts to view Yuki on his approach before returning it to the building as Yuki came up to his side. Speaking in his low tone, he comments, “this building would be the most suitable for you.” It needed a little work, but the way it was placed within the town was best; aside from that, it was a good point for the rest of the village to be built up around it. He shifts his attention back from the house to Yuki. Speaking to him, he makes the comment, “Yuki…” His voice drifts off softly before he continues in his low tone, “I think… the stage of being a mercenary is over in your life…” He would allow his words to settle before continuing, “I trained you in the sword as you were a mercenary, but now your strength is too great for such a cause. With great strength comes the responsibility to use it property.” He turns his body fully to Yuki as he poses the question, “up until now, what has been your purpose in this life?”

Yuki keeps his gaze set upon the building Battousai seemed to be looking at, that is until his sensei begins to speak to him. As his sensei speaks up and makes the comment about this building being suitable for him Yuki turns his attention from the building and looks to his sensei. The comment from his sensei was rather surprising to the half-breed given he had just been thinking about pretty much the same thing, well the idea of a building for him but he hadn't been thinking of this exact building his sensei is talking about. Glancing away from his sensei, Yuki looks to the building once again and shifts his gaze over it as he begins to think upon this building as his sensi had brought up the point of it being good for him. Yuki keeps his gaze upon the building for only a moment before he hears his sensei speak again which draws the half-breeds attention back to his sensei. As his sensei begins to talk to him Yuki starts to listen, taking in what his sensei has to say. At first as he listens to his sensei he is confused about what he is saying, why would being a mercenary be over? As Battousai continues speaking Yuki continues to listen to him as he begins to think upon what his sensei is telling him and the meaning behind it. Yuki watches as his sensei turns to face him before posing a serious question to the half-breed. Though his sensei had put forth the question, the half-breed remains silent for the first few moments as he thinks upon what has been asked of him. Finally after thinking upon the question for a few moments Yuki begins to answer, or at least attempt to answer it, " ... to survive... and to grow stronger. " Yuki answers as he looks at his sensei a moment longer before turning his gaze from the male, " Only the strong truely can survive, if you are not strong then you are killed or used by the strong. "

Battousai would accept the answer and make the comment, “you’ve killed many last night. Though you may not have noticed it, you’ve grown a lot from the time that I’ve met you. If you were a pup then, I would have to say you are a wolf now.” He continues, “but growing stronger and surviving has no substance in itself; it’s only an objective… there must be balance to all things. If you can take life and protect your life, then you should also be able to create life and protect that life.” Battousai was starting to learn more while sharing a body with others that freedom was a luxury that many people took for granted; with the fact that Yuki would be having offspring in the future, this seemed like a good time to have this talk. He continues, “not everyone has the ability to grow strong, so who will protect them? As you’ve reclaimed the land here, you will find if you leave, then this area will be in danger once more.” Battousai’s voice trails a bit and he turns once again to the side so that he and Yuki’s shoulders would be side to side with the same distance remaining between them. Though he spoke these things, it didn’t seem that Yuki would be moving from this area any time soon, since the obligations he’s made to the women here seemed to be something that would take some time and come with its own complications. He asks, “these women will be bearing your seed. Have you fully thought about what that means?” As he would have children, there was no doubt that there would be some connection between Yuki and his offspring that should cause him to want to protect them; after all, it was a big step Yuki was taking, even if he hadn’t realized it up until now.

Lifting his gaze to the sky, Yuki listens as Battousai begins to speak once again. Gazing up at the sky the half-breed slowly shifts his gaze while listening to his sensei as he continues speaking. As his sensei makes the comment about him going from a pup to a wolf, a light smirk take's form on the half-breeds face as he thinks on the comment from his sensei. As his sensei continues to speak, Yuki continues to listen to the words of his sensei. Again the half-breed found himself confused as his sensei begins to speak of creating life and protecting it. Yuki keep's his gaze upon the sky for a few moments longer as he listens to his sensei until finally he begins to shift his gaze from the sky and turn his full attention back to his sensei as the male turns to face him. Looking to his sense as he turns to face him, Yuki begins to understand what his sensei meant when he made the comment about creating like and protecting it as his sensei continues to speak to him. As his sensei asks him, Yuki comes to the realization that he had not truly thought beyond the first implications of what he was going to do, he had not thought to the end result when they have his children. As the full realization of his choice hit him, Yuki remains silent as his gaze slowly trails off from his sensei as he thinks upon what he will be doing and producing. As he remains silent, Yuki shakes his head faintly in responce to his sensei's question.

Seeing that he was able to reach Yuki, Battousai looks away as he continue, “from your seed the roots of children will grow. These roots may feel like they will hold you back, but they will actually set you free.” Though he hadn't experienced it first hand, he could realize the situation based on the culmination of him and the other personas. In a thoughtful tone, he would offer, “A pup is only in the wild for so long before he creates his own den… that is the opportunity you are faced with now. You will create and lead your own pack in your family…” He allows that to sink in before assuring, “do not fear the gravity of your decision; look forward to it. You will have much time to think on this during the time you build up this area and lay with those women... Take that time to steel your resolve.” Battousai assumed that Yuki could understand that “…that the strong protect themselves. Those stronger protect themselves and others.” He looks back to his disciple and nods, “that’s all I will lecture for now.” The seed that he felt that Yuki needed had been planted.

Still remaining silent the half-breed keeps his gaze set upon his sensei as the male begins to speak once again. As he listened to his sensei, Yuki tried to absorb every word his sensei was saying and think upon it and how it now effected him. He had went into a deal to father children with the females they had encountered and to save this village. He had saved the village from the bandits so that part of the deal is completed which means the only thing he has left now is to mate with the females and he will have completely fulfilled his end of the deal. Now he will be creating life, life that will have ties to him, be his offspring. All these are things Yuki now begins to grow unsure of, fathering his own children and having a family? This is something the half-breed isn't sure he can completely fulfill, he didn't know if he could really have and lead a family like real fathers did. Though he began to wonder about fulfilling the rest of the deal Yuki knew he could not back down, he had given his word and already came this far with the task put before him. As his sensei makes the remark about the stronger protecting themselves and others, Yuki begins to wonder if such a thing is meant for him, if he is to guard others just as he has guarded himself. When his sensei finishes speaking, Yuki nods his head faintly as he takes in a deep breath before letting it out as he sighs, " I see.. " He murmurs lightly as he glances to his sensei, " I have much to think on now Sensei. " Yuki adds as he turns his attention to the building before him, " ... Though I do not know about a true family, I shall father children with these females and though they are my children I will guide there growth so they will be strong and able to take care of themselves and this village. I do not know if I can truly be a father... "

Battousai accepts this and counters, “you will be a father by blood; as for the other implications of that word’s definition… create your own. You do not have to mimic another man to be a true father, you can simply remain true to your path and do what you feel is right. I believe if you do those things, you will be fine.” The samurai was a bit worried about the dark blood that coursed through Yuki’s veins, but he seemed to have at least more control over it than it did over him. He figured that having a family might draw him more to the human side than to the demon side. Motioning to the interior of the building, Battousai would say, “for now, think and get your house in order. I have seen your progress thus far; we will train later. Before I leave, we will speak once more and you can ask what you need of me at that time.” With that, the samurai would walk past Yuki and walk away from him, giving Yuki his back as he makes his way to the outskirts of the village to scout. He knew that his disciple needed time to fully absorb everything and think things over; such a thing could be done while working to fix up his new building.

As he finishes speaking Yuki falls silent as he gazes at the building before him. When his sensei begins to speak Yuki listen's to what advice his sensei has to say. As his sensei told him he would only be father in blood and need not mimic other men to be a father Yuki begin to grow relieved at the fact since he wasn't sure if he could be a true father to children. Though he had been told these things the half-breed still thought upon what he is tasked with doing still and the implications behind it. Deep down the half-breed was still somewhat shocked at the thought of him actually being tasked with creating life, he never gave much thought to the outcomes of mating with other females aside from what it has to offer him. When he hears his sensei speak again, Yuki glances to the male for a brief moment, nodding faintly to his sensei's comment before turning his attention back to the building in front of him. While listening to his sensei, Yuki nods his head faintly as his thoughts shift slightly to the idea of training more with his sensei. It had been some time since he had a chance to train and fight with his sensei and he had learned much and gained much since the last time they had done any such thing and the half-breed wished to show his sensei how his strength has grown. When his sensei walks past him and begins to walk away, Yuki glances to the male for a moment, " Alright sensei. " Yuki says with a faint nod while watching his sensei walk away a moment longer before turning his attention from the male and to the building before him. With his gaze set upon the building Yuki finally steps forwards and begins to make his way into the building.

Making his way into the building that he planed to use, Yuki begins to shift his gaze as he takes a look at the interior. As he makes his way through the building Yuki notices that it seemed to be occupied by someone before though the chances of them still being alive is slim to non given the fact that no one has come forth to claim the building. The building itself is but a single story tall made of wood with a thatched straw roof. Along with a kitchen are and living area it also had two bedroom like areas for the people that lived in it before the attack upon the village.
